Often, we at DCBLOG get an opportunity to use this platform of going Inside MTV Reality to introduce you to people from around the entire spectrum of pop culture and the events of the day who have a link to the the shows and the people we cover here. It might seem a bit out of place for a site that covers the world of The Challenge and shows linked to this system better than any other blog site on the planet where covering the episodes are the focus, but though the scope of ExtraTime we help to link the hundreds of cast members & alumni and the dozens of shows out there to what's going on right now and offer a better understanding of them through these figures... which also helps to give this site the unique stature of covering the shows you love as only we can.

Last year, an inaugural all-star class of reality romantics came together in Hawaii for the first season of the American version of Ex On The Beach. One of those who appeared on Season 1 along with a baby daddy, a bad girl and a bachelor was one of several newbies to the MTV crowd in a recurring character on a show that dominates the social buzz on another network that competes with MTV in the battle for viewers' attention in the crowded reality TV sphere. Ironically enough, a person from that show is also good friends with one who's established herself as one of the most polarizing figures to come along in the past few years on MTV, and whose latest chapter came this past week on a show that resembled THAT show.

It's with what happened this past week on Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club, and with its most prominent face outside of its leading figure in a four-time Challenger and a Real World alumnus that we'd thought that we should let you meet a friend of hers and Someone You Should Know: the young lady known simply as Scheana from Bravo's Vanderpump Rules.

As the weather outside continues to be cool as anything else -- including snow falling twice in the course of one week in Las Vegas, it's good to know that things are getting white hot in MTV Reality land this winter: things getting underway for real on The Challenge and another trip to the zoo in the Ex On The Beach house is ahead. But before that - and with in-between interaction of those below, we begin our look at last week's activities from Greece.

Ever since Real World and Challenge alum Kailah made her grand entrance, the season as far as many viewers are concerned truly began at Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club... though there's been plenty of drama going down even before she and New York bartender Kyle joined the crew. But we nearly saw the number of occupants in the VIP villa go down two spots in the wake of Gabi and Jonitta's fight, plus there was the drama surrounding Brent and Sara, which once again saw clothes being thrown in the floor just as it was when Kailah was last in a full Challenge season on Vendettas.
   For what goes down in Episode 6, the VIP hosts will find themselves in a spot where they feel they are safe: going out on the town in Mykonos to promote the newest & hottest vacation destination in this resort town. But the group will find themselves in an episode of Undercover Boss than an MTV Reality show when the boss lady decides to eavesdrop on matters, and it may lead to someone being the first VIP of the summer to get the ax. Plus, there's a visit from a different mermaid than what we had in Panama City Beach, and we'll help to understand one of the three newbies a bit better when we join him for a visit with his family who live in Greece.

If 2018 was the busiest year ever for DCBLOG in covering the all-encompassing spectrum of MTV Reality, then this very moment is the pickup joint to the busiest time yet to be a viewer... perhaps as busy as it was last fall when, for the first time, this MTV fan had something of interest to watch from Monday to Thursday. And as it was then when we had Cheyenne & Cory join Teen Mom to go along with Final Reckoning, Are You The One and Jersey Shore last October, we now have something to look forward to during those four days of the week in a new season of The Challenge, the ongoing drama of Ex On The Beach and the season finale of Floribama Shore -- all of which we'll be covering here ahead along with Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club to follow shortly here. Plus, there are familiar names in and outside these shows coming to a new series which we'll delve into shortly, and Siesta Key for those fond of Laguna Beach and The Hills.

Hey there... glad you've came. If you know by now, this is a a packed week of MTV Reality, which last night saw its main course in the premiere of The Challenge: War of the Worlds. We'll have that opening salvo covered here during the coming Grammy's weekend along with one last wave by the shore, returns of a couple familiar faces and even a trip to the zoo. But before all that, we have some unfinished business to attend to.
   Our focus on covering the new Challenge season with our preseason preview and our traditional Who Are These Newbies? deep dive into the rookies (which took us two posts to do this time due to the large rookie field) saw us take a break from offering our usual weekly SocialPulse journals. But need not worry: we've already covered the episodes of two weeks ago as well as last week's Challenge launch special introducing the TV crowd to the rookie field in the lead up to this big week. Here and now, we'll have last week's episodes of Ex On The Beach and Floribama Shore covered ahead, and first up as part of this pre-diary - Episode 4 of Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club.
   When we last left Greece, the summer had just begun as far as the increasing number of guests rolling into Greece, and LiLo brought in two notable people - the soon to ubiquitous champagne gun and a new host in Mike's fellow co-worker Alex, who came to the beach with a solid work ethic to encourage everyone else to follow in his lead... while we saw the latest chapter in the Brent & Sara show. But when you have personalities that clash, as it often does in these shows, it's what happens with two girls with contrasting personas that cause things to boil over... And for our West Hollywood co-workers, there's the temptation to take their relationship beyond just work.

Hey there folks, we're glad you're here with us again. Our preseason coverage of The Challenge: War of the Worlds -- three posts in all -- has wrapped up, and as we count down to that new season come Wednesday now we're turning our focus to getting caught up on two weeks' worth of the episode interaction and social activity in the MTV Reality universe that we have not covered yet because of our Challenge focus, but thanks to the archives we're now starting to get caught up on it all.
   For Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club, from the producers of The Challenge and Real World, a fact to share here is that its director of photography, Jason "Ninja" Williams, is a longtime veteran camera op for those shows... Bunim-Murray Productions also handles the Kardashians franchise, too. And as the group's first week in paradise lacked in effort but excelled in drama in one Brent, Episode 3 saw LiLo spice things up a bit as she brings in a new host with a solid work ethic and common work credentials with one of the guys to paradise to help to accelerate the summer crowd about to invade Mykonos.
   With all that went down in Greece and in Florida, we've decided to let the Tuesday offerings of January 22nd have their own post to start things off. Happy Sunday Funday to all of you, as we're in the midst of this three-day extended weekend in honor of Martin Luther King Day. Yesterday, we had the Pulse of Floribama Shore as Codi's parents visited and Krazy Kortni had her wildest moment yet of kissing an elderly lady in the land of retirees. Later tonight, we'll be covering Episode 5 of Ex On The Beach, and this comes during a week that saw the countdown to The Challenge: War of the Worlds begin... quite a week it has been and not including all the related Twitter drama that's located below.
   Until then, here's a Pulse Extra covering the time in between episodes of, what was until Tuesday night at least, our main focus this month and will now share top billing with Challenge 33. Along with that, there's episode 2 of Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club as a guy who is helping to host those seeing The Chainsmokers and Dillon Francis at the Wynn on Pacquiao/Broner fight weekend in Vegas, but will surely need some Secret Service men protecting him for what we saw in Mykonos... and couples goals for two leading ladies in Staten Island. The MTV week that was of the first full week of 2019 saw Cheyenne & Cory's first season on Teen Mom conclude as well as what we had here earlier of Codi's parents and an apology pizza mark the Floribama Shore group's return to Florida following the trip to Cabo. But before we bring you the Pulse of this week's Ex On The Beach on Sunday Funday, something special for those checking us out this late Saturday night.
   This week saw the debut of the winter's most anticipated new MTV show, Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club. And in the premiere, Lindsay and her business partner & close friend, Panos Spentzos, will get to open up shop on their new Lohan Beach House resort in Mykonos, Greece. There, they'll be joined by a team handpicked by them of nightlife pros from America's hottest clubs for the summer, and they'll find out that working with this "Paradise Boss" will be anything but a breeze in this European Rivera.
   While DCBLOG offered our traditional non-Trifecta preview of the season, aka The Look, before its premiere on Tuesday night, instead of just recapping the episodes like everyone else does we'll be integrating social reaction to Lohan Beach House into these Pulse Extra diaries, just before the main one covering EOTB is posted afterwards, as we consider that show to be our main focus for this winter. That's only part of a pre-diary that also includes reaction to Surviving R. Kelly, the premiere of The Bachelor, and much more... that's all ahead.
