As all of you enjoy this Mother's Day and Sunday Funday, welcome back again to DCBLOG as our coverage of the MTV Trifecta continues with Real World Go Big or Go Home from Las Vegas. Things have been heating up in the Las Vegas Valley, and Episode 7 was no exception.

   Last week, we had the toughest mission yet for the group when Kailah's hangover prior to a Challenge final-like hike saw her gut it out and barely escape being the first castmate to exit this season. The saga of her and Dione rolled on when her being excluded from the "Cool Kids" clique led to an argument. And continuing the old-school nature of this season, Chris made an emotional journey back to his birthplace of Salt Lake City to take a stand against his Mormon Church for discriminating the LGBT community.
   This week, the attention turns to three things: one, back to the drama that has defined much of the season when a trip to the gun range sees CeeJai struggle to keep her cool when Jenna triggers painful feelings of the emotional story we heard from her back at the beginning. But it's not all drama, as Dean officially begins a new era as a single man once again, and the roommates throw a surprise divorce party in a familiar place, which leads to an awkward hookup between him and a roommate. And amidst the buzz of her single "If Only," Sabrina pursues her musical dreams.

Well after an eventful premiere last night to The Challenge: Rivals III, we are back in the swing of things in the MTV Trifecta as we welcome you back once more to DCBLOG as we turn the attention to Real World: Go Big or Go Home.
   Last week saw an emotional moment for Christopher as he went back to his birthplace of Salt Lake City and resigned from the Church of Ladder Day Saints for actions he deemed prejudicial to the LGBT community. Also, we saw the roommates being tested to their limits in the toughest mission so far in going up a hill in the Vegas valley a day after Kailah got hung over. And she also battled with Dione over being excluded from a house clique, all as the two and some of the other roomies got into words earlier this week on Twitter before this episode which we discussed here yesterday.

    As again we'll save the Things to Know recap for next week, this edition of DC WRAP will have some thoughts and reflection on Chris' defining moment against his church, the newly re-titled Winners List and Spring Break with Team Are You The One. Join us here next.

As we enter the busy spring and summer stretch of all three shows of the MTV Trifecta reaching overdrive, we welcome you back to DCBLOG and our coverage of Real World Go Big or Go Home from Las Vegas. The previous week was an unplanned week off when the passing of one of music's greatest icons, Prince, forced MTV to postpone Episode 6 a week later.

   When we last spoke here some time ago, it was the leak of a scandalous internet post that was the talk of the Gold Spike and sent Jenna's life into a tailspin. The person who initiated that post was revealed that week and would ultimately be the subject of the succeeding episode, while Dione looked to repay the money owed to him by Dean for going for broke in the casinos. And two missions saw the group tackle spiders and go on the ride of their lives in a fighter plane.
   This time, the Road Rules-esque nature of this season turns literally into a Challenge combine of sorts when a grueling new mission sees big consequences for one of the roommates. The saga that is Kailah and Dione rolls on when she battles with him when she's excluded from the clique in the house known as the "Cool Kids." But the old-school nature of this season is really put into focus when the man who made Jenna's life living hell, Chris, makes an emotional, life-changing trip next door to the state of his roots to stand up against the church he grew up as a member of.
   The action, reaction and reaction from Episode 6 is waiting for you here if you did or didn't get to experience it, plus much of the two week's long lead-up as a result of the previous week's preemption. Welcome back to DCBLOG as we add more to Episode 5 of Real World Go Big or Go Home ahead of tomorrow's episode. We saw Jenna finally get to the heart of the email leak where Chris came forward that he got his friends to write scathing comments to her in response to her religious comments. We saw Dione broke as a joke and go gambling with Dean's money in the Vegas casinos but must find a way to repay those losses. And there was something enlightening in the group become fighter pilots for a day, and enduring spiders too.

   We'll be shelving the Things to Know episode recap and Winners of the Night for this week, but there's still plenty to discuss here. Ahead, perspective on Chris and the reaction that came about from social world after last week's episode. Welcome once again to DCBLOG and our coverage of Real World: Go Big or Go Home. So far, there's a theme that's been reverberating through this third trip to Las Vegas: yes, there's a Road Rules vibe in the twist, but also a hearken back to old-school Real World through five episodes.

   Previously, we saw Jenna get the shaft when a bummed shoulder almost prevented her from going home, but not be left out of controversy yet again as a discussion over religion saw Chris suddenly turn against her, while the Kailah & Dione saga saw him meet a local girl in town and encounter road bumps. And as it was when Dustin's past became a major bombshell at the Hard Rock down the road, a scathing email is found by the house and turns the suite and Jenna's life upside down.

   That Leak is the principal subject of this week's episode, as Jenna loses her mind and her life crumbles in front of her when that anonymous search by, as it turns out, one of the roommates, initiates major drama both inside and outside the penthouse. The biggest mystery we've seen in the Real World in quite some time begins to unravel as the roommates look to uncover this leak. And on a lighter note, Dione is broke and looks for ways to repay his gambling debts to drama-free Dean. And as far as missions go, two words: spiders and planes.

We've crossed the one-third pole of Real World Go Big or Go Home, and welcome back to DCBLOG as we recap Episode 4 (and 3 as well) of this season as we prepare for tonight's episode from Vegas.
   The drama has picked up a bit as last week, we saw Jenna get saved by the bell after a brush with injury before their latest mission, Kailah & Dione encounter a speed bump, and Chris going to a strip club for the first time. And echoing what happened to Dustin five years ago down the street at the Hard Rock, an shocking internet post left Jenna uncertain of who to trust in the house.

Welcome back to DCBLOG as we continue our ride through the world of the MTV Trifecta. As the countdown to The Challenge: Rivals III begins and the premiere date of June for Are You The One? Season 4 has been revealed, our focus remains on Real World: Go Big or Go Home, and the drama is starting to pick up there in Las Vegas
   Previously in Sin City, we saw Dione be at the heart of girl drama post his hook-up with Kailah, while CeeJai got to celebrate her birthday with both the excitement of riding on ATV's and the emotion of her not having her parents to enjoy the moment. But the drama centered around Jenna, who we saw have a striptease with a guy at a strip club against her wishes, and an injury she had on that ATV ride threaten her stay in Las Vegas before a mission.
   And that is where we begin Episode 4 as Jenna's fate takes a surprising turn before they encounter another fun mission in the water. The Kailah & Dione Show continues as jealousy takes over when he meets a local girl while they were out enjoying the city. And just as it did five years ago with the events that put Dustin on the front page of US Weekly, a scandalous internet post stuns the house and leaving the girl who's caused the most drama to ponder who she can trust.

Welcome once again to DCBLOG as we continue our ride through the world of the MTV Trifecta. Ahead, the action, reaction and social interaction of a big Episode 4 of Real World: Go Big or Go Home as jealousy, hatred and web posts dominate the week that was in Las Vegas. But first...
    Last week was a fairly busy one in all three shows of this crown: filming concluded in Hawaii for Season 4 of Are You The One? which, as of today (as we talk to you on Monday, April 11) comes our way in June. But in addition to the potential of the first roommate being sent home from Sin City, the top story in the Trifecta was the beginning of the countdown of The Challenge: Rivals III with all related materials - trailer, cast & all - dropping during the week of the MTV Movie Awards. 

   With respect to those of you who loyally check out this site, sometimes the weekly lead-up to any episode are too much to put in a single post, that Extra posts like this are sometimes necessary in order to make the blog experience better here. In the midst of what has been a very exciting stretch of events, welcome again to DCBLOG as we bring you post 2 of covering Episode 3 of Real World: Go Big or Go Home, before tonight's 4th episode as we find out if someone will be going home from Las Vegas.
   Last week, we saw Jenna having a striptease against her wishes, Dione cause girl drama after hooking up with Kailah, CeeJai celebrating her birthday and the group having fun in the desert on all-terrain vehicles. But an injury to Jenna may cause her to become the first castmate to leave Las Vegas for not completing a mission, and we'll find out her fate tonight.
   Now with a cliffhanger to that episode last week, plus work on a special blog post coming up this weekend, we'll recap for you in our Episode 4 posts. For this Week 3 edition of the WRAP, we'll just name winners of the night and have more fan reaction. But there's no shortage of stories here, and coming up we'll look at the Vegas experience of the three RW Vegas casts and how it compares to my experiences in Sin City. Welcome once again to DCBLOG and our coverage of season 31 of Real World: Go Big or Go Home. We are past the quarter pole of this season, and a lot of things have already taken place in Las Vegas.

   Last we were in Vegas, Sabrina received news that could potentially see her reunite with her biological mom for the very first time. But the attention was on the wild side of Vegas, as we saw Chris, Dean and Dione forced to dress in drag in a guys-only mission and though Dean had doubts about it they still got through it a-OK. And the flirtation between Dione and Kailah reaches a point they and we never expected: a night together in bed as the first pair to seal the deal this season.
   This week, there's more drama brewing in Downtown as you wouldn't have a Real World Vegas without seeing at least one stripper, which sees the group enjoy a scandalous night at the club and then sees Jenna clash with CeeJai over that regretful choice. The repercussions of Dione sleeping with Kailah last week is not surprisingly stirring up major girl drama as the saga of them continues. CeeJai gets to enjoy her birthday with both the excitement of celebrating it in Vegas, and the emotions of celebrating it all alone. And just like what happened to Candice & Leroy on Bloodlines, an injury before a mission threatens to send one of the roommates home.

As you prepare for Episode 3 of it tonight, welcome again to DCBLOG as we Wrap up last week's episode 2 of Real World: Go Big or Go Home. After an eventful premiere, last week saw it go all over the place, but we saw more of the personalities emerge of our seven strangers.
   We saw the first romantic move being made in Dione and Kailah, as well as plenty of hook-ups both in the house and outside of it too. We also saw two missions that span the silly and the serious: dressing in drag among the guys, and meeting the mom Sabrina has never known. As we enter the last week of March, welcome back to DCBLOG as our coverage of Real World: Go Big or Go Home continues with this EP2 SocialPulse diary. As we're two episodes in, we're starting to get into the swing of things as the group settles into their Downtown Las Vegas quarters, but of course with the Road Rules-style twist nothing is certain.
   Last week, Dean, Kailah, Sabrina, CeeJai, Jenna, Chris and Dione moved into Sin City in a big way by bungee jumping out of a hot air balloon relatively easy to earn their key to the Gold Spike Hotel. Sexual tension developed with Dione, Kailah and Jenna, while Jenna found herself at odds over her Southern upbringing. And a patio chat brought up CeeJai's tough background of living in a domestic violence-dominated house and losing both her mom & dad on the same day back in high school.
   For episode 2, a lot takes place in the house as the latest group mission sees the guys dress in drag and sees one of them have doubts if he can follow through. The flirtation with two of the roommates that began in the premiere heats up as fast as the Vegas sun takes a wild turn into unexpected territory. And through another mission, we learn more about another of the roommates' past that brings up a common story among the three RW Vegas seasons.

Welcome back once again to DCBLOG and our coverage of Real World: Go Big or Go Home as we bring you a Wrap-Up of the eventful season premiere from last week as we prepare for tonight.
   We began season 31 of this reality original with, once again, another twist to the original seven strangers formula with the show implementing the "Go Big or Go Home" twist of Road Rules-style missions where if one doesn't complete that task they are sent home. Of course, this theme best fits the season's host city of Las Vegas, but we didn't deter from the Real World we all know and love of drama on the first two nights of Jenna causing friction with the group, and the show's title ringing true in CeeJai opening up on her tough upbringing.

Hi, hello, what's up and welcome one & all to DC SocialPulse as we kick off our weekly coverage of Season 31 of Real World: Go Big or Go Home from Las Vegas with this SocialPulse diary. After taking some time off after The Challenge Bloodlines, we are back into the swing of things with TV's original reality series kicking off another season in familiar quarters.
   For the third straight season, The Real World has tweaked its simple, old-school formula of seven strangers living in a house and integrated an element of the past in bringing Road Rules-style missions into this season, very fitting for the backdrop of a great city where going all in and go big is the norm. The roommates will confront their hopes, fears and anxieties as they do it all big time in Sin City.
   This week, the saga begins as Dean, Kailah, Sabrina, CeeJai, Jenna, Chris and Dione arrive in Las Vegas not knowing what they can expect. But, instead of moving straight into the house, the roommates must conquer the fear of bungee jumping out of a hot air balloon in order to earn their key into their humble abode in DTLV. Plus, there's sexual tension with one of the guys with two girls, and another girl who's proud to be from the South tests the roommates' patience. And a late-night chat in the patio reveals one's life-changing secret.

   We'll bring you all the interaction from this first Real World Thursday and the premiere episode itself, plus some of the lead-up to St. Patrick's Day and the Friday hangover. Welcome one and all to the first of DCBLOG's weekly posts for Real World: Go Big or Go Home. Coming up, all the action, reaction, and social interaction of the season premiere as our new group of seven strangers are welcomed to TV's original reality series in a totally new way, along with the usual pomp and circumstance of the pledges' first days in their new city and much more.
   First though, we have a special appetizer for all of you as present a prelude to that main course of Real World Thursday and the episode itself on the main DCBLOG post. Generally, our posts begin with the lead-up to the episode which, in turn, precede the episode tweets themselves. But with the week leading up to the premiere, we have, of course, all the anticipation as the new cast counts down to the big day.
   And in addition, this includes how the Trifecta community saw the conclusion of the latest season of the show that predated Are You The One? but is certainly a favorite of many both young and old (including my mom) of The Bachelor. And of course, there's the anticipation the new Real World cast felt in the days leading up to St. Patrick's Day; obviously, there's nothing like the build-up to the premiere of a RW (or Trifecta) season with all the anticipation culminating with the big night.

MTV Trifecta: Countdown to Real World - Go Big or Go Home

Welcome back one and all to DCBLOG's ongoing trek through the wild and always entertaining world of the MTV Trifecta. We started this latest ride back late last summer with the countdown to a most eventful Are You The One? Season 3, then this winter we saw an unpredictable 27th renewal of The Challenge: Battle of the Bloodlines. Both of them produced the expected - longtime veteran Cara Maria winning her first Challenge, and the unexpected - as in fellow New Englander Devin using his mad genius to singlehandedly win his AYTO cast the money in Hawaii. 

   And now, after a month-long break to catch our breath after that finale in Berlin, and with five of its alums now becoming proud parents as well, we turn the attention to TV's most-iconic reality series and 3rd jewel of the Trifecta - The Real World. It will be entering its record 31st season - unprecedented in the cable universe, and will be visiting for the third time in its nearly 25 years on MTV the town that's synonymous with love, money, madness and fun: Las Vegas, Nevada. 

   And it's very fitting that Sin City is the appropriate setting for the latest twist to wreck havoc on the roommates as it'll once again tweak its old-school formula of seven strangers living together and watching what happens. Yes, we'll still have the unique attributes it's had forever of the deep storytelling and relatable people we've been accustomed to since that first season in 1992, and of course the big time drama we all know and love. But this time, it's brought an element of a show that formed the original part of the Trifecta a long time ago and will bring that same kind of unpredictability that we've experienced the past six months to this reality TV original.

    St. Patrick's Day, Thursday, March 17, is now more than a week from now, as it will be the premiere night of Real World: Go Big or Go Home. And as the first love of this triple crown, this lifelong fan will again be watching and following this new season, and covering it right here - again wire to wire from the preseason buzz until the last act at spring's end. Just as it was in San Francisco with Ex-Plosion and in Chicago last year with Skeletons, it's a totally new Real World that promises to add more allure to the magic that happens when this great show touches down in America's greatest playground.

   Of course, we can expect the unexpected with big time drama, a new group of seven strangers and twists as twisted as an up & down day in the casinos. And ahead, we'll be previewing what you can expect on this season and how it compares to its erstwhile sister show, a look at the seven strangers and other things too. This includes two up-and-coming singers, a Mormon-turned-hippie and a former Vegas resident with a couple good celeb ties too.
