As you all enjoy a nice Saturday wherever you are, we welcome you back again to our look Inside MTV Reality with DCBLOG, and following the buzz of what's been an eventful past seven days with more on one of them to come soon, we're at the main course of this week's episode posts: Week 8 of our stay in Hawaii for Ex On The Beach.
When we left the islands last week, we had the house turn back the clock a decade to when they were kids and took for a ride on a Slip N Slide. And we had Marcus arrive to the house as the latest ex, only for his obnoxious behavior cause the house to send him home directly. But before a big bombshell that would drop in this community and ensuing an ongoing social media soap opera we'll be covering here later, the focus was on Big Brother alum (and as of next month, Challenge rookie) Paulie and his ex Lexi. And when it was gonna be that they would emerge out of this house as a couple again, a phone and his messages spelled doom for them in the Shack.
In the wake of what went down there, this week sees yet another game-changing twist come on shore: a former Warriors cheerleader is offered a big temptation to bring a new man up and send someone else home, who'll join another ex with intentions on making up. The drama involving our baby daddy and the girl he broke up just before he arrived here continues, which in turn brings everyone else into the drama. And the Bad Girl who's been in lots of drama finds herself in more of that, this time with one whose most notable moment was what happened when she lost her crush the first time we saw her on MTV.
We'll have all the action, reaction and interaction to this latest chapter in Hawaii ahead here, along with police possibly intervening into one of Mr. Creature Ferris' exes situations(?!). Afterwards - and to offer something refreshing amidst this crazy newsworthy week, ExtraTime will share you a heartwarming moment when an Are You The One heartthrob surprises the most important person in his life who he hasn't met since before he went onto his season.

As this week's Champs vs. Stars took place on Tuesday night, Challenge fans were offered a treat when the road to Season 32 began in full swing in the third leg of the regular series' current trilogy, Final Reckoning. As is our tradition, we're saving starting our coverage of that season for after we determine the ultimate MVP's and when the drama wraps up over in Hawaii, and the introductory tweets will be saved for later on when we begin our series of preview posts to come then as we count down to July 10th. But to get you in the mood for that, as well as Ex On The Beach tomorrow for which our subject comes to us from its original UK version, here's something to whet your appetite... at least, to the girls reading this here late after dark.
If you travel to Las Vegas as I've done a lot the past decade, there are all those attractions around the city offering entertainment & lifestyle options for everyone away from the hustle and bustle of the Strip and its hotels & casinos. Most of you look forward to the famous weekend pool parties this time of year - including Kailah's man Mikey P. at the Wynn Encore Beach Club. There's golf around the Valley and TopGolf on the Strip where TJ Lavin sometimes is spotted there. Circus Circus is at the northern end for the Strip for the kids to have fun on the midway, dining options up and down this 3-mile stretch, and of course live shows & music, not to mention the Vegas Golden Knights.
But for the adult in all of us, there's the gazillion nightclubs around town as well as adult pleasures with plenty of strip clubs, brothels and adults-only shows all over town. Who can forget the time where, while he was embroiled in that infamous porn site scandal, Dustin found himself on stage at Cirque de Soleil's Zumanity during his Real World Back to Vegas season? Or the time where Ammo, Dione and Dean were given a mission to dress up in drag on Go Big or Go Home?
West of the Strip on the other side of I-15 is Chippendales, the touring male striptease dance troupe who is best identifable for their bow tie, collar, shirt cuffs and their abs. Next year, they celebrate their 40th anniversary as the first of its kind troupe to make a living out of performing for females 21 & over and who made stripping part of the mainstream. Though they perform in over 100 cities in the U.S. and overseas, the heart of the Chippendales franchise is in Vegas at a dedicated theatre at the Rio Hotel & Casino, where this month they share space with the World Series of Poker.
The last time American viewers saw Joss Mooney, it was him facing off against legend Derrick Kosinski in an epic elimination tilt on Vendettas: tooth & nail in the timeless classic, Pole Wrestle. For our overseas friends, it's just now that those of you in Britain are seeing him, Kayleigh, Melissa, Kyle & Rogan battle against the Americans as Vendettas has been airing back-to-back with EOTB USA on Thursday nights on MTV UK, among other international regions who are getting a taste of this reality TV classic for the very first time.
But earlier this year, the overseas crowd have also seen Joss on another MTV series: an Ex On The Beach spinoff called Body SOS, where he and Geordie Shore alum Vicky Pattinson served as coaches in a Biggest Loser-style fitness series to get the bods of ordinary Brits in tip-top shape for summer. Those added to his appearances on the first & fifth series of EOTB UK, where Kayleigh is one of his many exes, and where they, Melissa and Kyle return for Final Reckoning a month from Sunday.
Just as he and the rest of the cast was revealed when CVS aired on Tuesday, Joss flew to Las Vegas to hang out with friends just after rest and relaxation following the trek down to South Africa. And after he got to enjoy some dessert upon touching down in the Desert, Joss went to Chippendales to hang out backstage with dancers Kyle Efthemes, Diddy Dominguez, Chaz Vorrias and James Mane. Below is an Instagram post @Chippendales of Joss getting outfitted with the necessary goods. And he tweeted @Joss_Mooney, "Last night in Vegas... Back stage with the boys at @Chippendales, testing out the signature cuffs & bow tie!! 👀😉."
Aside from Magic Mike from Are You The One? Season 3 and Real World Bad Blood and the RW Go Big guys, Joss is not alone when it comes to Trifecta alumni getting to strut their stuff with just abs on stage in front of the ladies (and it doesn't count the night AYTO original Adam stripteased the ladies in the Exes 2 house if you saw that season's clip show). Another member of the Vendettas British Invasion, his close friend and workout buddy - fellow EOTB UK castmate Rogan O'Connor, is part of the British equivalent of Chippendales - The Dreamboys who travel around Britain, and where Rogan took three breaks from filming his two EOTB UK series and Vendettas to entertain the ladies. And yes, he and Joss mentioned about stripping on Twitter this past week during the chaos of all the social media beefs of the past 72 hours, and the Stratford lad responded to the Manchester native @Rogan_OConnor, "You traitor 😂😂😂 #DreamboysForLife".

It is the weekend, and at the end of an eventful week in our world and the past seven days in the MTV Reality community, we're glad you're kicking off your Friday with us here at DCBLOG. It's been a week full of drama both on screen and off of it, as well as the start of the ramp-up towards The Challenge: Final Reckoning to come in a month from this weekend -- all of that is ahead. But we start with Champs vs. Stars as we now head towards the end of Season 3 of the spinoff.
Last week, the season changed yet again with the two teams being split into pairs for the rest of the season, and they then ere faced with their toughest challenge yet - and one familiar to those who competed on the first Champs vs Stars: tackling the water, going deep into the pool and completing an obstacle course underwater. Some excelled, while others squealed at the chance of getting to face their biggest fears of going swimming.
At the end of that, Brooke & Shane took the win, and Louise & Casper were sent into elimination, and this week sees who the Stars will face off against in an elimination with a game familiar if you love parties. Then, it's all about who can go the longest in this season's Purge, as a challenge slash multiple-team elimination will take the weakest players out before semifinal week. And it's what happens during this challenge that brings out the emotional side of one player when the latest instance of someone trying to sneak one by grabs their attention.
All the action, reaction and interaction of Week 8 of Champs vs. Stars III is ahead, as we begin a busy end to this winter/spring cycle of the MTV Trifecta year of 2018 - one that has been full of drama both on screen and off as well - all starting with parties, rings and fun by the Shore. Look over the list of those couples in the MTV family who have met on one of the channel's many reality series in the past decade, and how many of them are either still together after all these years or have had such a long history. One example is Catelynn Lowell & Tyler Baltierra, where lots have happened to them on Teen Mom and TM OG, but have stayed together nearly a decade after they first appeared on its predecessor, 16 & Pregnant. Closer to home in what this site calls the Trifecta, Are You The One? has two couples who, while only one of them is a perfect match & a married couple, are the show's definition of #RelationshipGoals and are (or soon to be) parents: Amber & Ethan of Season 1 and Gianna & Hayden of Season 5.
This past week -- an eventful one in MTV Reality as will be explained this weekend -- saw the renewal of what is now the latest love story to grip what many call the fifth major pro sport: MTV's The Challenge. This relationship began when the reality competition show's most iconic romance was in its final chapter: Diem Brown falling ill on Battle of the Exes 2, longtime boyfriend CT Tamburello going back home with her, and the last months of Diem's courageous battle with cancer. But while in Costa Rica with others who had romantic flings flame out and then getting paired up again, a new couple was born that has now become the latest romance to blossom in a genre where reality romances come as go as often as refreshing your social media timelines.
That couple first charmed everyone three years ago in mixing a hot-headed former football player with a gorgeous model, then went through a number of interesting events that broke them apart, and somehow seemingly brought them back together again. And as the road to The Challenge: Final Reckoning now commences with the premiere in 33 days from tonight, an Instagram picture posted last week days before the theme of Season 32 was revealed on Champs vs. Stars last night broke the internet. It's the latest chapter in The Challenge Love Story of Zach Nichols & Jenna Compono.

As we bring the curtain down on what's been an eventful weekend in many retrospects on the MTV Reality front -- Challenge Mania, honoring Diem, a obstacle course, a marriage and a baby to name a few, we have this late night dessert to share with you in our look at Episode 7 of Ex On The Beach.
Last week in Hawaii saw history repeat itself in one of the exes who got voted off the island make her grand reentry when, after the singles thought that they would get someone totally new to the beach, Alicia made her return as a single much to Cory's dismay, as well as the return of Are You The One? original Shanley from Season 1. Meanwhile, the Shack of Secrets sent Victoria and her ex Luis down where revelations of cheating while they were dating each other emerged, while the week's elimination saw Haley get the heave-ho.
It's fitting that this week, the housemates finally have reason to finally let loose when they get to do what those of you got to do the first day school went out for the summer when you were young: go on a Slip N Slide and become kids for a moment... and then become adults again in a lingerie party. And one couple seems to have finally gotten to do what very few in the show's UK version have been able to do: kiss and make up... only for that to come apart as only this show does. And when happens when an ex comes to crash the party? Bad things can happen.

As you all relax on this Saturday night and this this first weekend of June, we're into the homestretch of this winter/spring cycle of our trip Inside the MTV Trifecta at DCBLOG. And in a week that's seen some social media controversy take place not only in our world but even in the MTV community, we've seen couples make up and breakup and we'll have that and a whole lot more in the next few days. But first, it's week 7 of The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars.
Last week, we saw Challengers being put into the Cross Fire when slingshots and boxes was on everyone's mind, and saw a familiar result on Tony landing the winning shot and maintaining his hold on a game that he's in a strong position to win. And after we saw Kailah beat Ashley in elimination, Mike The Miz delivered the news to the remaining competitors that the game as they've known it all season is about to change for the third time.
The Challenge as many of us know it begins this week as the serious business begins with the teams being reshuffled from Champs vs. Stars and Red vs. Blue to pairs of Champs, Stars and often both to eventually determine who goes into the race towards the chase. And yes, no one is safe with their alliances as things get back to square one... and in this case, it's to the pool for the always intense challenges that involve swimming and water, all in time for summer.
