Inside MTV Reality: The Siesta Key WRAP - A Breakup, Apologies, and Rekindled Feelings

We're all back to work and to school after the long holiday weekend where we got to mark George Washington's birthday and Valentine's Day. And with the ladder in mind, the slogan that MTV's Siesta Key has used for both last year and this year is, "Love At Your Own Risk." It's no different as Season 3 rolls along down in Florida.

Previously in the Key, Juliette found herself having to deal with several things: returning back from a trip to Greece that turned out to be a trip from hell with Robby, her going to Alex's mansion to talk to him for the first time since their breakup, and apologizing to Chloe after that housewarming fight. The third item took place at Amanda's birthday party where things got testy with the crew, and where she had another showdown: this time with Alex's new girlfriend Alyssa - who also happens to be a former hairstylist for poor Jules. And while all this was going on, Cara left the Key.

With the revelations of what happened at the housewarming, Juliette finds herself at a crossroads, and there is other relationship drama with the rest of the crew. After the break, the WRAP of Week 6 in the Key before an all new episode (an explosive one, at best) goes down a few hours from now.

 THINGS TO KNOW
EPISODE 6 - "Are You Happy with Her?"

#ROBBETTE IS DUNZO: When Juliette broke away from Alex at the end of last season, it was a big plus for her in getting rid of the toxicity of the king. What she didn't expect was of falling in love with a well-known reality TV star and being in a more public relationship than it was the first time out. So, it's no surprise that when they returned from their Greece escapade, Jules realizes that it was more of a showmance than true love. And it's after what happened before the trip that she meets up with Robby that it's all but over... but it's only the start for her this week, as she gets a second chance at her work which she ditched for Europe.

ROBBY FACES AMANDA: It was when news got to her from Jules of what happened with her phone while the housewarming fight went on that Amanda was, understandably, upset, and she also tells her of Robby's "smothering" ways. But it's only a month after it goes down that she finally meets he at a coffee lounge to get to down to business of what happened to that phone near the Gulf of Mexico. There, Robby admits that what he did was immature & wrong and blames his now ex for what happened. And while he does apologize, Robby goes soft in giving Amanda a waterproof case.

AT THE SALOON: The White Buffalo Saloon in Sarasota is known here as the hot spot for country line dancing & music each weekend, and it's been a venue to some Siesta drama before. Once again, the Saloon becomes a gathering spot for the group to enjoy some time together as Brandon toasts, "Cheers to boots and Daisy Dukes," and shots are exchanged. Everyone, including Alex and Alyssa, show up as does Jake... and things get heated below when they get face to face.

REKINDLED FEELINGS: The Saloon was where Jared and Kelsey got to deep their relationship last year, but when she is feeling alone line dancing Jake tells him to talk to her... and she decides to play him for the second year running as she says that she want to enjoy summer as much as she can. Jules' friend and co-worker, Kelly, sees a spark with Garrett as he moves on past Cara, while Brandon's search around the bar for Amanda comes away empty as she and ex JJ are outside kissing, and Kelsey and Jake make out on the dance floor in front of Jared, fittingly wearing a Papa Bear shirt.
But as they say - as MTV does below, "Old habits die hard," and all things here keep coming back to the King & Queen. As someone who knows Robby before his time in Bachelor Nation, Alex tells Juliette that her now doomed relationship with the former swimmer hurt him bad, as he adds "It sucked." The two of them say sorry to one another as she says to him that there will always be a spot in her heart for him despite all that's happened in the past... and they share a hug.

In echoing what's happened with their cousins up at Floribama Shore, the last scene of Episode 6 puts into focus the emotional side of Alex, Juliette and the Siesta Key cast. At one time or another in this show's three seasons, each of the castmates have shown that side of them that proves that they are human and genuine like those who watch this show avidly. We seem to always tear up whenever we see things like those, and you'll see reactions from some of the fans here shortly.
The Wednesday after Episode 6 aired last week, Chloe tweeted the following in regards to that last scene, which no doubt had everyone bawling. And no matter if she can be on Jules' side or going against Alex -- and especially after being in that fight with her and her mending things with him on a business level, she will always have respect for two of those who she's known for a long time.

And a site that does a great job of covering Siesta Key from a local angle, Your Observer, and its writer Emma Burke, wrote in the EP6 edition of her always opinionated episode recaps, "This is the first scene where I actually feel like, maybe, just maybe, there were some genuine emotions from the cast ... but this week's episode brought a level of connectivity and emotion that I had been waiting for -- I think one that most viewers can actually relate to for even a split second."

And for more on what went down last week, Juliette, Robby & the cast spoke to Nilsa from Floribama on the Interrogation below. And a reminder that the Pulse of last week's episode of Nilsa's show is held over to this coming week due to the dual-part nature of the season 3 finale.
