Last week, the saga that was Camila & Tony came to an unfortunate end when their late night fight led host TJ Lavin to tell them to pack up and head out, just after the competitors were warned about violence in the house. Then came another twist when the competitors found themselves shell-shocked by the show's first ever last-minute, surprise challenge and a rare nighttime mission that tested their patience and knowledge while also being forced to stay up all night and see all sorts of oddities take place in front of their eyes.
And that's where this week's episode begins as the teams robbed of sleep and being mentally tired try to put together nearly 12 hours' worth of knowledge for a chance to not only become power team but also win themselves a day trip and cash too. Plus, the house begins to experience a divide as teams begin to band together to plot against others as it centers around the two remaining big-name veterans in Mexico. And considering the summer of soccer we've had the past three years, it also plays a part in a big elimination battle.
We'll have all of the cast's reaction and interaction to the action of Episode 9, as well as the Survival Guide with fan favorites and day-after reaction to this week's AYTO. And in ExtraTime that follows, we'll re-introduce you to a previous champion from a Challenge past as she gets her second chance at the big bucks in a new digital-only reality show many years in the making.

So, as I wrote here last week, the players had to rely on their inner Phil, Alan, Stu and Doug to figure out the all-night challenge that deprived them of sleep. Once again, Bananas & Sarah take the win, while Wes & Nany finished last to go into elimination, where before all that the house begins to plot against one another as we head towards the business end of this season. And in their take on the world game, and taking a cue from a variant of the sport whose very version of this will be at the Rio Paralympics in late August, we saw Nany & Wes take on KellyAnne & Sarah and given that ginger is a passionate Sporting KC supporter, he took the win to knock off the defending champ. And we can't forget about Devin once again escaping the jungle, and perhaps Johnny Portland can pass over that luck of the Irish he had to Big D if he keeps this run going. We'll have more on this episode and the latest episode of AYTO on DC WRAP in the coming day or so.

ASHLEY'S BACK (The Back to San Diego One, That Is)
Someone who was much more even-keeled than the guys on her team (and being the mom of the group in being the oldest of her B2SD castmates) was Ashley Kelsey. When we met her on her Real World five years ago (her and Sam actually acknowledged the anniversary of them moving into the San Diego seaside mansion just a few weeks ago), she was a recent UConn graduate who came to Cali for her first time living with someone other than her mom, and had ambitious dreams beyond her CT roots. Being beautiful and athletic, she became a promotional model and bartender, as well in liking her men big, tall and athletic which, for someone who didn't date much, she goes for when the time comes.
On that Real World season, it was those attributes that got her attracted to pro football player Zach the second week they were in San Diego, and just like what we've seen with a few of the couples on AYTO and recent RW seasons, they never let go. But the pair also isolated themselves from the rest of the group, from trips to the gun range to spa trips, and Hurricane Frank would argue with them over not opening up to them that much, especially when they were on vacation in Mexico. Zashley, as they were affectionately named, stayed together for some time after that RW before he went on to Jonna, Ashlee and Jenna afterwards, but the two found themselves on BOTS 2 over a year later. We didn't see Ashley much that season, but she and Frank were sent into the last pre-final elimination battle against Team Cancun and after a close battle San Diego prevailed and went on to win.
Since then, Ashley has moved out of the MTV spotlight and to L.A. to focus on her modeling career and her newfound love of CrossFit. She also became close friends with Diem Brown from when she joined the MTV family right up until her passing two years ago. But the opportunity to return to TV and to add to her winnings ($62,500 was her winnings on BOTS) was too great for her to pass up when she found about a new digital-only series called The Runner - created by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon and airing on Verizon's Go90 mobile entertainment platform. She has brought along her friend, former Playboy model (February 2010) Heather Rae Young, to this game with the affectionate nickname and hashtag, #SweetNSavage.
Sixteen years after plans for the show was first announced (it was bought by ABC in 2000 back when the network had Millionaire before 9/11 pulled all plans, then was passed on to Yahoo in 2006 but also didn't go past the development stage), it has finally gotten under the ground with the first episodes airing over this holiday weekend. The Runner will dare one individual to make it across America unnoticed for 30 days as the rest of the country will work diligently to locate and capture him. Should the Runner go all the way to the end without getting apprehended while following their itinerary and checkpoints, they will win $1 million.
Ashley and Heather are one of those five teams of "Chasers" who'll have a shot to earn money for catching the Runner as they are equipped with mobile devices who also get clues, track the runner and attempt to capture them before they escape from their view. As this game is unfolding live in Big Brother style, Verizon Wireless users who provide tips, sightings and evidence of his location can also cash in on cash rewards too when they play this game in real-time. On Friday though, Sweet N Savage got off to a slow start when they were the last to find the keys to the car that will take them coast to coast in pursuit of the runner and the bounty of cash that awaits them.
