Last week in a two-hour premiere, the season began with the usual "Get To Know You" vibe of an old-school Real World season as excitement, anticipation and optimism took over our new group of seven strangers. In addition, we had a fight between Mike and Robbie after a family game night intended to bring the group together didn't turn out that way, and Maserobbiee had a meltdown that saw him in tears. We also saw the relative outsider of the house, Tyara, get close with Theo from the very beginning as they became the first in the house to hook up. And we got to scratch the surface of the backgrounds these roommates have which has brought them here for one reason.
This week, it's Episode 3 and the attention turns to learning more about the histories that these original seven roommates have with seven people who know a thing or two about them. It's the broken relationships they have that put them on edge when they have inklings that people from their pasts may visit the house very soon. And as it turns out, they are right: down the way in Portland, the seven new roommates gather up for the first time to believe that they are going on a new show, only that they are the twist to the season and embark on a Road Rules-style road trip full of fun and adventure... all ahead of the collision that's about to happen.

So, we have now met the new group of seven people that will be moving into the house come next week, as the Bad Blood group arrived in Portland and been given word that they will be crashing the party that is Real World Seattle. We have been given a greater understanding of the histories of these exes, estranged family members and rivals. And now, we have some time to grab some popcorn and let the drama take place. Tomorrow, we'll have the results of the DC Forum Polls, and again as stated above, the episode recap for this week will be on next week's Wrap.

GOING "DTLV" WITH DEAN (Studio Version)

During the season, one of the housemates and perhaps the only one spared from all the madness as the one who grew the most in Vegas was Sabrina. One of her two personal missions (the other was an emotional reunion meeting her biological mom for the first time in the finale) was to write and record a song, and of course being a singer she made it look very easy. She's now focused on her musical career and last weekend she took the main stage at Boston's Oktoberfest celebrations and met up with fellow Trifecta alum Brittany from AYTO Season 1 & Exes 2.
Sabrina's musical mission (which was also shared with Jenna who also does music too) gave the three guy roommates at the time (Dylan joined the cast shortly after) -- Dean, Chris and Dione -- an idea: create an original track themselves. While in the streets of Vegas one day - and inspired by the mission the girls were given, the three came up with a track that was entitled "DTLV," which you think might mean for Downtown Las Vegas, but because of the PG-13 nature of this site it's best that we just keep the song's actual title without initials up to the imagination, if you know what we mean.
On an After Show, the guys performed that track which became one of the most hilarious moments we've had on the show, which you can check out uncensored at MTV.com. And by popular demand, last month Dean released the finished studio version of the track of DTLV with just himself only. Okay, so it's not "Closer" by The Chainsmokers and Halsey, but Dean did get praise from one user on SoundCloud who wrote, "DEAN lol this is hilarious and great."
Of course, a caution to readers that it does include sexual content in its explicit lyrics, so if you got kids hanging around and the speakers are up, be sure to just put headphones on to hear the track so the kids won't hear the naughty stuff. ;-)
On a serious matter, as we told you here back in August Dean became friends a few years back with 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick when we spotlighted Trifecta alums meeting NFL quarterbacks, and featured their photo here. We posted that ExtraTime piece right before the controversy emerged during the preseason of the QB kneeling down during the Star Spangled Banner in protest of police brutality that has swirled around him, and well after Dean first met him. It's inspired a national conversation that have become a source of negative press for the NFL in seeing its traditionally solid TV viewership see a well-publicized slide this season in response to many urging fans to boycott the league in the wake of Kaepernick's actions - joined by several other key NFL players electing not to stand for the national anthem.
We also hinted to you there in that post that Kaepernick isn't the only person of significance Dean has gotten to cross paths with prior to coming onto The Real World: also a couple years back that icon of comedic genius and someone who a few years back became a national celebrity of sorts for his meltdown after being booted from Two & A Half Men, Charlie Sheen. The two met while they were filming a 2014 episode of his FX sitcom Anger Management when Dean played a baseball player, and to the left is their picture from his IG (which has since been deleted but we saved that & posted it to you here). Like Charlie, Dean had to go through a divorce after a failed marriage & relationship, and as we saw during last season he celebrated his new freedom by having a "divorce party" at the Palms Hotel's basketball suite and becoming a king of sorts...only in Vegas, of course.
On an After Show, the guys performed that track which became one of the most hilarious moments we've had on the show, which you can check out uncensored at MTV.com. And by popular demand, last month Dean released the finished studio version of the track of DTLV with just himself only. Okay, so it's not "Closer" by The Chainsmokers and Halsey, but Dean did get praise from one user on SoundCloud who wrote, "DEAN lol this is hilarious and great."
On a serious matter, as we told you here back in August Dean became friends a few years back with 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick when we spotlighted Trifecta alums meeting NFL quarterbacks, and featured their photo here. We posted that ExtraTime piece right before the controversy emerged during the preseason of the QB kneeling down during the Star Spangled Banner in protest of police brutality that has swirled around him, and well after Dean first met him. It's inspired a national conversation that have become a source of negative press for the NFL in seeing its traditionally solid TV viewership see a well-publicized slide this season in response to many urging fans to boycott the league in the wake of Kaepernick's actions - joined by several other key NFL players electing not to stand for the national anthem.
