MTV Trifecta: Floribama Shore - The Season 1 Finale

As you all wrap up your Sunday and this first extended weekend of the new year continues along - most especially in both Jacksonville and in Minneapolis, welcome back to this week's ride Inside the MTV Trifecta. And while we got to crown winners on Champs vs. Stars and the Vendettas game becoming more twisted in this week's escape from reality, the week's biggest buzz in the MTV world comes to us by way of Panama City Beach, Florida and the season 1 finale of Floribama Shore.
   Last week, we were all reminded of how sometimes, the unexpected takes place and can happen in the worst possible way -- which was what happened to Codi when his grandpa died unexpectedly and the house did what they can to comfort him. Meanwhile, Jeremiah's friend Josh came by to see Nilsa and that didn't turn out as well as expected, and petty differences and tensions continue to mount as they head towards the end of their summer.
   And as their time in Florida comes to an end - and with the role of family being prevalent with Codi, this week the housemates invite the people who've followed their growth for one last blast of summer: their parents. Fitting for a season that's brought back the Shore franchise in grand style, you won't believe what goes down when people older than them decide to have fun. And as always, them leaving the house brings back memories, trials & tribulations, laughs & lessons of their summer.

Well, this finale began with words brewing with Aimee and Kirk, and things would've ended a bit awkwardly... but fortunately that was overcome just before the most fun part of this season: the parents coming over. But along with bonding time with the people who've watched them grow, things unexpectedly get turned up by the parents becoming one of the housemates for a change, as this ride comes to an end... at least for now. More shenanigans are coming up this summer for this group as MTV announced a renewal of Floribama Shore, in addition to the Jersey Shore Family Vacation too. And on the topic of the ladder...

CATCHING UP WITH...

JERSEY SHORE'S ANGELINA

During the FBS season 1 finale, MTV gave fans the power of where this year's highly anticipated Jersey Shore Family Vacation should take place. One would think that with the weather being the way it is this time of year, then another trip down south to Florida would be an ideal choice, which was the venue for Season 2 of that show in 2010 during the height of GTL mania and when the East Coast went through a major winter storm where snow was just about everywhere. That's also where we segue way to this latest piece of ExtraTime.
   Back in 2014 before Real World Skeletons premiered, a photo we featured here spotted RW 30 roommate Bruno's brother Briah getting to hang out with two members of the Jersey Shore family. One of them was, right up until Ronnie over the holidays, the recent member of this cast to have a life-changing moment: Deena Nicole Cortese, who got married to her longtime boyfriend Chris Buckner in an intimate setting with her castmates watching. The other Jersey Shore girl Briah posed with is the one who Deena replaced in the cast, and is our subject.

Angelina Pivarnick came to that JS house from Staten Island, where almost from the outset she found herself on the outside looking in while the rest of her housemates were clicking. That first summer didn't go as planned for her and was evicted when she didn't even bother working in the Shore Store… and who can forget her having to use a garbage bag for moving around her clothes when she moved in and out of the house?
   'Jolie, as T-shirt shop owner Danny called her, gave it another shot the next season down in Miami, but arguments with Pauly and Snooki saw her fly away permanently and it brought us Deena for the rest of the series. We also saw her do some TNA pro wrestling for a time, and she got to do the first season of VH1's Couples Therapy with Deena too (hence, the pic).
   On Floribama finale night, VH1.com went into the archives to ask what has happened to her since then, all as the originals prepare to go on their vacation this year. As it turns out, Angelina has something in common with another Staten Islander in Real Worlder turned Challenger Nicole Z. -- she is now an EMT more interested in saving the lives of others than thinking about going back to try and make amends.
