On the day after Christmas - Boxing Day fittingly in much of the world, the Shore housemates got to join with the rest of the Tampa Bay community to celebrate Pride Week and the LGBT community which made plenty of positive strides in 2019. But in addition to that, Gus got to introduce his group to one who he got to know quite well last year, as Party Down South alumnus Mattie met up with them months after she and him got to compete on The Challenge: War of the Worlds. And she helped to bring that sense of fun to the group just after all the drama of the summer's first month.
But at the end of her first night, Mattie had a breakdown in the house... and as we rejoin them here she will decide if this is just a weekend's visit or if she will take up an extended residency in SPB. Meantime, a sport that was thrust into the spotlight many years ago by way of Will Farrell's cult favorite movie takes center stage, and even a friendly game of that may respark the JeriGus fires of a few weeks ago. And Aimee is preparing to meet the judge to settle last year's scrap that got her on the front pages, and the roommates rally behind her as only they can.

So after a week or two of fun in the sun, the feud between Gus and Jeremiah has fired up once again: this time, a friendly game of dodgeball involving the former bromance partners and them being on opposite teams led to the losing team with Gus having to pay the tab, and him loading up on the sushi on the postgame dinner has led to more bickering between them. It's not gonna ever be the same with those two ever again, that's for sure.
Now, as we speak to you on this Tuesday night January 7th, tonight is a big night for reality TV fans, for that on the night after Peter's Bachelor campaign took off a new season kicks off on Vanderpump Rules and most especially out in Siesta Key - and understandably there's a lot of buzz surrounding Floribama's newest neighbors just a drive's away. Well after some thought about it - and the fact that the definitive weekly episode recaps won't be up this season on Cosmopolitan.com with fan Spencer Pratt of The Hills, we've decided that we will now be adding our own WRAP's of Siesta Key Season 3 to our weekly coverage, our first time covering the reality soap regularly on here.
Now there's a twist to this: usually we'd provide all the social reaction to the episodes as you've seen above... but we'll be taking a page from our past MTV posts to doing our Siesta recaps in the traditional write-up manner with the Things to Know top moments, and some social reaction from Jules, Robby and friends - embedded into our posts instead of diary style... we may even bring a fan of the show to get their thoughts on it as well. This will allow us to now add the Key to our weekly content, while not diluting the rest of what we got planned here this winter.
But as is tradition for us - and with the cord-cutting viewers in mind, the Siesta WRAP will appear Friday night right here to begin our weekly blog wave. We're looking forward to it, of course. But first things first: Floribama and Ex on Thursday. Enjoy that and see you soon...
