Welcome on back... if you happen to be following a sport that usually takes its first pitch here in the springtime, then baseball is back in business if you follow the Chinese leagues as they are back in business after they started their 2020 season over the weekend. For everyone else in the world of competition, it's the fifth major pro sport of The Challenge that is on the minds of them and reality TV fans as we are two episodes into Total Madness and with a new episode in a few hours' time.
Last week, we got to see the after-effects of TJ Lavin's first Teej-bomb of those who compete in the purgatory elimination being eligible to go for the money on full display as another twist almost brought an Amanda/Zach in those who are seemingly safe in the game possibly being dared to go into elimination... that wasn't the case for Dee as she instead opted to play it safe and let a rookie go in during some flirting with her frenemy -- and it saw a dominant rookie from last year take care of things in only a few seconds. But that came after a thrilling challenge of carrying a different kind of crates of last season and target practice from aboard a chopper.
After the jump, our Challenge WRAP has last week's big moments of Total Madness before Episode 3 comes your way tonight. We'll see you shortly.
THINGS TO KNOW
EPISODE 2 ▪ "Sweet Dreams Are Made of Dee"
● AIRBORNE TARGET PRACTICE: We begin our Week 2 WRAP with a challenge that's worthy of being the most exciting as far as thrills go so far this year. The group is split into nine threesomes to move ammo crates along a mile-long path... and the last time we saw these it caused headaches for everyone on War of the Worlds 2. Despite this being the first female cut week, teams that have those ladies be just one in teams with two guys are the top teams, while Josh is forced to carry the load for his team in carrying two crates when Jenn does poorly.
After Jordan, Wes & Jenny make short work of their task of carrying logs with their strong cardio, all indications were that they would just cruise to victory. Instead, miscommunication in executing their targets from aboard the chopper harms them... and the other teams that make the cut take advantage. And in the end, it's the team of Cory, Swaggy C and Dee that go 9-for-9 and win.
● ALL EYES ON ROGAN: What made last year so fascinating on the romance front was of Brits bring the attraction: Georgia and Bear on WOTW1, and then Dee and Rogan on WOTW2. Here, the drama sees Jenn join in on matters when they become attracted to one another at the chess table. But it's when Dee finds out about this that she, not surprisingly, loses her mind. But the champ from Stratford stays calm throughout all of this.
● "GREETINGS EARTHLINGS": Last year, we were going nuts over the possibility of Area 51 being stormed in the middle of the Nevada desert, which it never occurred but added aura to the legend of Las Vegas. As the unlikely holy alliance of Bananas & Wes rages on for a second week, they dare Jenn to try and do what Kam did so brilliantly two years ago: create a speech to persuade the house to not vote her in... what happens next is worth seeing again below.
● EASY MONEY: Last year, Jenny from the U.K. blazed her way through the rookie field before being the victim of Tori in hall brawl. She won the first challenge last week but what happened with Wes & Jordan saw her named to go in by the tribunal this early instead of a rookie. And if that's not enough, TJ reveals that even those who are seemingly safe can volunteer themselves in to try and gain a skull, but Dee opts not to put herself in against Jenn. That seems to be the wise choice with Jenny being the force she is, and she takes care of the Amazing Race alum as quick as Usain Bolt tweets his now viral tweet on social distancing.

We always think of ourselves as a supplement to your favorite podcasts, webcasts and articles that cover MTV Reality, and rightfully so with our Pulse diaries, these short WRAP's and ExtraTime among other goodies. But in the interest of those who want to find out more - and in the spirit of the "Read More About It" PSA's CBS did in conjunction with the Library of Congress from years ago, below are where you can hear and read more about it...
● There's no doubt that Challenge Mania has become THE must-listen podcast for those in Challenge Nation, and Derrick Kosinski & Scott Yager have stayed true to that word in landing the first exit interviews with the two losing combatants in the Purgatory, Jenn and Asaf. The link above has those two chats, plus a slew of other interviews we didn't get to promote at all last year or during most of Final Reckoning... plus they have post-show recaps for Pateron subscribers.
● And for the other angle on the latest in the saga with her & Rogan and her beef with Jenn, Dee got to talk to the Smashing Heads Podcast, while the man who beat Asaf in the first guys elimination, Jay, joined the Rotten Banana Podcast on Hedrich Files.
● And Mr. Puppet Master himself, Devin, has pitched his hat into the podcast ring in Back to Reality, and after he began his pods with Wes and then Josh's BB19 roommate (and Big D's EOTB single) Mark, he invited Kailah to join in on matters last week.
And speaking of Devin, after tonight's episode airs ExtraTime will be hearing from one of his fellow Are You The One? 3'ers on the good deed she is doing during this uncertain time. And last night, those who Mattie lived it up down south took their talents to a new stage... this weekend, we'll take a trip to the Big Apple to join Floribama Shore as they look to impress Nick Cannon on Wild 'N Out.
