The second time around was no surprise when it was announced in October of last year, but Cory and Taylor Selfridge had to adjust to having to give birth to and raise their new kid Mila Mae during the midst of this unprecedented pandemic, just as so many others both in the MTV inner circle and out have had to grapple with during this crazy time. But we never forget that first one, which brought into focus the brief relationship he had with Are You The One Season 3's Cheyenne Floyd on The Challenge: Rivals III in 2016, and helped to bring the flag of Challenge Nation into uncharted waters: joining the Teen Mom OG sorority when Ryder K. was still a 1-year-old. Of course, this gave reason for the MTV King to be given have a channel logo as a tattoo for being on four different series.
In seeing Chey's Instagram photos in the last few months gave her followers and the Teen Mom fans some idea or hints of what might be happening, but last week saw it be confirmed in a social post. And last Thursday and almost three years to the day of Cory's daddy reveal, she posted the following:
Cheyenne captioned in the above picture, "We are extremely blessed and honored that this little one has chosen us as parents. We prayed for this moment and wanted to hold on to it as long as we could. The past few months have been life changing in the best ways possible. Ryder is so excited to be a big sister again and is already super protective over my bump. She prays for the baby every night and kisses my belly every morning. Zach, you have been nothing but supportive and there every step of the way. Thinking about how young we were when we first met and how far we have come, I could not be more proud of us today. My heart is so full. Let the next adventure began❤️."
And she also clarified the baby rumors in making sure to be safe before making the big reveal: "Our pregnancy was never some huge secret like many of you have assumed and exposed over and over again. Many women wait for their first trimester before they announce. I showed a lot quicker this pregnancy. I have been getting asked and told I was pregnant for the past two years. Any sign of weight gain and I was being told I was pregnant. Please do better and respect women, their bodies and do your best not to diagnose them over a picture. You never know what is going on behind closed doors - health issues, fertility problems etc. We waited till we were in a safe zone and got all the testing back. I wish I didn't have to address this, but we have to do better as women."
As much as this is a big stepping stone for Cheyenne, we can't forget that there is another person sharing in this joy. Zach Davis has been her boyfriend for the past few years, and he wrote below the feeling that Cory's had two times before as he's about to become a dad for the first time: "Baby Davis is coming soon❤️ Cheyenne and I are excited to welcome our newest addition into our lives. This has been the biggest blessing in the smallest package. If you know me, you know my life revolves around family. I am beyond excited to start my own with the woman I love. Chey, I love watching you with Ryder... you are nothing but an amazing mother. Ryder is the best little girl anyone can ask for and I look forward to seeing her become a big sister (again). I love you both.... I'm a f_____ father!!"
As always this news of Cheyenne's second kid radiated instantly around the MTV community, as everyone else sent their congrats to her & Zach... and we do likewise.
