Hi again everyone, welcome again to SocialPulse and our continuing coverage of Real World Ex-Plosion. We've already seen plenty of drama through four episodes, and last week we saw the budding relationship between Jamie and Thomas encounter its first bump in the road, while Jay was caught in the act of dancing with girls while trying to be loyal to his girl back home, Jenna. And at the very end of the episode, we got our first glimpse at the exes as they finally made the flight to the City, moved into the house and got set to turn 20+ years of Real World tradition upside down as they moved in to join the seven strangers.

   And with last week's show ending at the very instant the exes moved in and the roommates being shocked by all this after a weekend retreat up north, today we'll be on top of episode 5, fittingly titled "Ex-Plosion" and the season's 2nd after show. This week's episode sees the exes officially move into the house in the Polk Gulch district, learn much more about the relationships the original strangers have with their exes, and see the tension rise among the now 11 total roommates who occupy that loft (the previous best for a full RW season was 8 - on Brooklyn, Cancun, D.C. & Back to NOLA). And after we show you how twitter saw this episode, we'll be explaining more about a very busy time coming here on the 'Blog, both Real World-wise and what begins today over in Russia.

Now, a little earlier than usual, a few closing notes...

- First, with the Sochi Olympics about to take much of my attention away from the Real World for the next two weeks, and aside from taking a break to watch the next episode around Feb. 19 (either live or a day later), I won't be writing my own episode wrap for this or the next episode after our SocialPulse diary. So to not worry about getting sidetracked by Sochi, I'll be tabling my write-up on this & the next episode to after the Games, so expect a dedicated, non DCSP post the week of Feb. 24-28. But I'll be posting a SocialPulse diary of that next episode, the Thursday after the episode on the 20th.

- Second: in our first 2014 post, we promised to involve fans more in the Real World/Challenge conversation here. Along with posting fans' & mine's tweets in our SocialPulse diaries and covering the reunion as we have done for RWPDX & Rivals II, DC Blog will expand our fan input to include the RW Ex-Plosion After Shows, including the one we saw last night and today as they're taping the next two. I've lined up two SoCal'ers to get their POV on the two after shows we've seen so far, expect the first 2014 edition of Fan's View to come your way middle of next week during the show's week off.

- And third, our usual reminders of upcoming Real World webcasts, and there's a doubleheader on Saturday. First, Andrew Kirk (@CSUAKirk) will be chatting on SpreeCast with Jamie about what has transpired in these first five episodes and much more - that's Saturday at 5pm ET/4CT/2PT on www.spreecast.com (and btw thanks AK for the S/O on your BTR show last week). Then at 9pm ET, RW San Diego alum (and Challenge vet) Robin will host her first podcast and will be joined by Jenny to talk Ex-Plosion and all things RW, along with Shady Sykes. Some people say these two compare to one another, should be a fun podcast Saturday on www.blogtalkradio.com/getreallol.
