Welcome again to DC SocialPulse as we bring you the Action, Reaction and Interaction of the 7th edition of Double Shot Tuesday here on this Oscar Sunday. This past Tuesday saw us meet family members of three Real World'ers, Bruno get mad, Challengers face trivia and a double elimination.

   Last week on EP9 of Real World Skeletons, Nicole got a warm welcome from her "skeletons", her sisters from back home in Staten Island, while Bruno's temper over food of all things becomes a big issue. This week, he is the one who faces the music as his skeleton, an estranged brother he hadn't spoken since a huge blowup three years earlier, arrives in Chicago. This isn't the only family affair in the house as both Tony's brother from Baton Rouge and Violetta's friends from Florida also visit the house, which leads to fights with the guys with the former and a birthday boat party for the ladder.

   Episode 6 of Exes 2 last Tuesday saw the toughest mission so far as the competitors had to endure, which led to huge tempers getting the most of many of the competitors. We also had a close elimination that included Dome destroyers vs. a couple in peril that ended with a cliffhanger, and that's where Episode 7 picks up. We then have the kind of challenge TJ Lavin always relishes: a trivia contest that tests everyone's brains. What's shocking about this week is who wins, and it's their decision of who they put into the Dome that's even more shocking, making perhaps some enemies.

   Following all the tweets during and surrounding the episodes, this MEGA edition will have a special expanded Triple Crush edition of theWRAP that will cover not just this week's dramatic Real World, but also because of the "to be continued" from EP6 - both last week's & this week's Exes 2 episodes. Then on DC ExtraTime, we'll have a new DC LIST with some close Challenge elimination battles, along with one alum's successful mission.

@IWantMyEmTV: It's funny you know. My personal experiences on #thechallenge were always fun. I was never an athlete but what I got from it was I tried my hardest and I was always up "for the challenge." It may have terrified me but I did it. Maybe I wasn't the best at it but I could say I tried. And I always left happy and satisfied.. Then I watched the show and saw these people ripping me apart because I couldn't punch through a wall ... Or run fast enough... Or finish a puzzle in a timely matter (despite solving the puzzle) Maybe the show is about winning money, but for me it was about building confidence in knowing even despite failing, I tried it and learned I'm capable of staring fear in the face. That's what I went for and that's what I left with. It was never about the money or the air time 👍 my advice is only be yourself and don't let anyone steal your shine. So, we saw Bruno's raging temper reach the breaking point in mayhem in the house after getting a visit from his estranged brother. It's also that brother, Briah, who unexpectedly becomes close to another brother of another roommate, Tony, when his bro Shane visited him from Louisiana at the same time Violetta's friends came in to celebrate her birthday.
   And in Panama, the long wait saw Johnny & Averey take out Adam & Brittany in the first of a double elimination. The latest edition of TJ's Trivia Test sees the teams' confidence go heywire, with lots of brains and him losing it to. The new power couple, Jay & Jenna, make one of those rookie miscues in taking a risky move in nominations, gaining enemies in Nia & Leroy.
   Now, as we mentioned above, because of the EP6 TBC cliffhanger on Exes 2, we decided to move that portion of theWRAP to this week. Thus, what you're about to read after sifting through all of those tweets above is a special Triple Crush Edition of Things to Know and it's not the Five things to know as we usually do here (or in the case of last week, Three), it's the TEN THINGS TO KNOW!

TEN THINGS TO KNOW - Special Triple Crush Edition

- 1. Bruno & Briah: Their story is something you know by now if you're been to this site: the brothers had a huge falling out when they got into a fight over a tuna sandwich, which then led to Briah wishing Bruno would've died in that car accident that nearly killed Bruno. When Briah came in the door, they almost immediately talked things out and Briah apologizes and Bruno reluctantly accepting it. Adding more to this, their grandfather passed away while the brother is out in Chicago visiting and it's their mom who is taking it hard.

- 2. Bruno's Temper: This was the week's overarching story: the behavior we saw from Bruno. What we saw above, and also earlier in the season, was what many suspect of him of turning something small into a big deal. When they are in the van returning from a day out, Bruno suddenly loses it when he accidently calls V Sylvia. Syl yells & hits him, leading Bruno to go out of his mind by screaming at her and then to everyone in the van. Tony then tries to stick up to Syl by giving him a chill pill and pointing the finger at him. Then Bruno punches the ceiling, gets in Syl's face, jumps ut of the van and Nicole follows him to help calm him. Then after some time outside, Bruno runs back into the house, goes through four people, yells at Tony again and it feels like he is Hulk. Finally, the tornado gets separated as Bruno locks himself in the confessional. Drama at its best, so much so that there were over 300+ comments left on an MTV News post on the episode, much of it were negative towards Bruno.

- 3. Family Affair: Besides Briah, we saw some family and friends come up to Chicago this week to add some fun to an otherwise dark episode. We saw Violetta celebrate her birthday in the city on a party boat, and some of her friends took the long route by driving 19 hours from Florida up to Chicago. And there was the hilarious moment of V calling the batphone to ask if she wanted strippers in the house. But it was Tony's brother that grabbed the biggest attention...Shane shares some attributes to his now-famous brother, except those manicured eyebrows.
- 4. The Shiah Show: While we saw Tony & Madison survive one week together, the oddest couple that we've had in some time happened here with the young brothers. When they were at the club and then at the house, Shane instantly found comfort in Briah, who like him happen to be openly gay: Shane has been out of the closet since high school, while Briah's homo-revelation was rather recently. Just as their older brothers are at each other's throats & ultimately makeup somewhat at the end, Shiah eventually hookup and sleep in the same bed. Crazy, isn't it?

- 5. The Toughest Mission Yet: We begin our Exes 2 wrap with last week, and the puzzle mission that saw everyone buckle under the pressure. There were shades of Logged Out on BOTS2 that tested everyone's nerves in Turkey, and it wasn't anything different in Panama. The guys used a rope to lift a door, while the girls had to memorize and recreate it on the board. Something that was predictable was who won: Wes & Theresa were calm and collected and won again. Despite misplacing puzzle pieces and throwing up on the hill, Leroy & Nia and Sarah & Jordan joined them on the podium with respective 2nd and 3rd place finishes.

- 6. Tempers Flare: When you have a puzzle and a long run, things can get more tense than usual. Yes, it was the tempers of some that was the headline; none moreso than what we saw with Thor. With shades of what happened with him and Sam on BOTS2, it was deja vu all over again when Zach verbally abused Jonna rather than encourage her, which led her to contemplate quitting. And when it came to nominate who would face last-place team Bradam, Wes & Theresa telling Averey of their plans to vote her & Johnny in simply because of his house connections led to a greater divide in the duo, leading to an argument on the stairs.

- 7. Dome Battle: The dome sees Johnny & Averey take on Adam & Brittany; a team who won their first elimination against a duo who won their first 3 Domes. The task was to pule milk cartons on top of one another while the guys had to balance themselves on top of the stack. Bradam's stack fell, but quickly they rebuilt that totem pole and somehow they caught up with Javerey. The teams were neck and neck, and after that long 7-day wait, it was Adam slipping in the carts and in spite of him being taller than Johnny, Team Portland jumped up, rang the bell and took out the latest remaining AYTO duo.

- 8. AYTO Trivia: TJ always likes it when brains, not brawn, are the order of the day. This week, we saw a trivia challenge, fittingly titled "Are You The One?," that tested the knowledge of all the contestants. We all know how Sarah relishes these trivia contests and, considering that Brooklynite Devyn won trivia last year, I totally thought it would be a Brooklyn day again. From Facebook to spelling, I always think how many teachers & students watch this to see how their students have forgotten since 5th grade. As expected, Sarah & Jordan make it to heads up, but something we didn't expect was Jay & Jenna being the other team. But Sarah getting the question wrong and we had the most unlikely mission winners in some time.

- 9. Backstabbing! : Yes...it's obviously something they don't like in the house but we viewers love it when there's backstabbing. Once Explosion became PC, the question became who Jay & Jenna would put in the dome against Johnny & Averey? It seemed a fit for Jordan & Sarah to go in, but during that trivia, Jay made a deal with Jordan on the spot. But the Portlander showed loyalty to Johnny and after some talk and him & Sarah going into damage control and Explosion made up with them. But this also left Nia & Leroy as the only team to put in and when he found out about it, Lean Body feels Jordan & Sarah are not friends and forming an alliance with J/J will be a big focus later on.

- 10. Leroy/Nia Payback: The second Dome of the night saw players having to hook their opponent to mountain climbing hooks and being launched to the top of the dome; those who win the best-of-3 stays in the house. The guys go first and Leroy takes the first battle, and in the 2nd dome that would've represented a huge showdown considering what happened in Portland a few years ago became no less a different story this time, Nia takes care of Averey and they sweep the series 2-0.

WINNERS OF THE NIGHT

- Leroy & Nia: We talked about this before here, if you achieve a double and win two eliminations in one season, you will have earned more than your stripes. For Leroy & Nia in earning this win, and especially with when they were surprisingly thrown in, it was a huge step. When I asked Brian & Ali on their podcast of who their sleeper pick could be, this was the team (even in spite of Brian's hate for the Hurricane). And now with Leroy & Nia taking out another team with finals experience in their CV now makes them a legit threat to possibly sneak into the final if there's a crack in the door in the stretch run. Leroy has been itching for success since that stellar Rivals run, and Nia's investments in being more fit are now paying off.

- Jay & Jenna: Of all the teams left going into this week's mission, a lot of us didn't even have Jay & Jenna as those who could go deep in the game, much less win. But sometimes, just as we've seen with Johnny on Free Agents and Devyn as well, the presence of luck can get you success in the most unexpected way. Obviously, you can look at what happened in episode 2 with Jenna not knowing much about geography or other things and we can all laugh. But with them taking random guesses and seeing all the other teams go by the wayside brought them into heads up, and ultimately won this week. Again, a person who I didn't expect to win trivia won, and congrats to them. I'm sure Jay's mom will be most proud of her son winning a mission this week just for her.

- Adam & Brittany: They may have lost their 4th Dome elimination, but Adam & Brittany leave with not just their heads high but also a more than respectable rookie showing in, what is really their sophomore season after being part of a dream team in Hawaii. Them winning those 3 eliminations is something to hang your hat on, and them being able to communicate more & more after what we saw a year ago this time now sees them on speaking terms more. Sure, Team Bradam along with Simone & JJ, were rookies who were also outcasts from a show separate from the MTV/BMP ecosystem. But they represented Are You The One so well this season that I'm safe here to say that Team AYTO did better than expected for a first go, and don't be surprised if those any of the S1 Originals and the S2 Team21 go for a chance to add to that treasure chest.

- Johnny & Averey: The one team who's all Team Portland in a season with five from the last non-twist Real World season also leave after going 1-1 in a double elimination week, but it's not bad especially when you consider all the obstacles they went through. Obviously, the wounds from their breakup are still fresh and it may not get better, through there's always a hope things could lead back to one another. Nonetheless, for a duo that started this campaign with being one of 4 teams to complete a sky-high trapeze and won an elimination even with not being able to communicate with each other outside the playing field, it's still a respectable showing. They've got a good future ahead, plus in (aside from the obvious story of Diem & Knight being remembered this season) what is my favorite story of Exes 2 which I told on here, she made immediate amends with Nia.

THE DC LIST: ELIMINATION FRENZY

Now, this week the consequence of having a cliffhanger at the end of Episode 6 meant we had not one but two elimination battles in the Dome this week. To boil fans over last week, MTV's Remote Control Show Blog posted an article looking at 7 of the closest elimination battles from the show's history. They were: Brad vs. Landon and Aneesa vs. Tori on Duel II, Aneesa vs. Laurel on Free Agents, Tonya vs. Diem on The Ruins, Paula & Jeff vs. Evelyn & Luke on Fresh Meat 2, Laurel vs. Camila on Cutthroat, and of course Johnny & Tyler vs. Adam & CT on Rivals.

   Looking over it, a number of big elimination battles were left on the cutting room floor. So, for this edition of THE DC LIST, I present my list of three close Challenge elimination battles. And if you're a hardcore Challenge fan who's been watching this forever please don't mind the ones I chose here: most of these eliminations listed here are from recent Challenge seasons, specifically those that I've watched in real-time starting with when I joined this world with Battle of the Seasons II. Here they are in no particular order, starting with three eliminations that share something in common.

- CJ vs. ZACH, BOTS2: I remember watching this epic Hall Brawl battle being on the edge of my seat, and as someone who was solely a Real World fanatic up to then, I can point to this duel as the moment I became a Challenge fan. After CJ swept two close battles in the guys round, a tiebreaker round saw the two go back into combat and went the distance. We saw these two football players go at it in a way that left those watching on the sidelines in awe when it was over. And after four acts that saw just about everything, it was the old wide receiver who had the last word when he barreled over the punter for the win. Obviously, what we've seen from Thor since then has been - to keep it safe here - very unfortunate, but this has to be Zach's finest hour as a Challenger. CJ also won over huge respect too in how he was able to prove himself as a strong competitor.
- LEROY/TY vs. JORDAN/MARLON, Rivals II: What happened the next season in the same exact game matched and perhaps exceeded the intensity of that tussle in Turkey. Just like Zach vs. CJ, TyRoy vs. Portland also went the maximum, and it was in the 3rd heat that brought this double duel into the List. The team of two previous finalists and the Portland rookies - three with previous football experience - fought fiercely in splitting the first two heats. And in the golden tiebreaker, when it appeared that Ty was going to knock the rookies out near his bell, Marlon kept him down and Jordan spun around, broke free from Leroy and the rest was history. This was where Jordan made his name when he crashed into the barrel to take the win, and this along with a 2nd Jungle win and a previous mission win propelled Team Portland into the final. The legend of Jordan was born.

- DUNBAR/TYRIE vs. DEREK/ROBB, Rivals II: Okay, so this duel didn't exactly match the great intensity of the first two battles, but this did have the closest elimination finish ever. We clearly knew who won the first heat in Team Sunshine, but it was the 2nd heat that gained a ticket into this list. We saw Derek and Dunbar sprint their way through Robb and Tyrie and when they touched the bell in that heat, it was unclear who won. By what I, as this Olympic fan, would like to refer it here as a Phelps-ian like time, Speedy Chavez (happy b'day BTW) out-touched Dunbar in the 2nd heat by .01 of a second. It led to the one they call "Dummy Bear" showing his arrogance in being partnered with Tyrie after the big fella was consoled by Gentle Giant Ginger.
- JEMMYE vs. LaTOYA, Free Agents: The first elimination battle on Free Agents saw Balls In featuring a finalist from Rivals II against a rookie who got back from the hospital after dehydration. It was so close all throughout that you couldn't know who would win, but in the end it was 'Toya who would go on to garner my female rookie of the year last season with her taking out Jem.

- CARA MARIA vs. JESSICA, Free Agents: The second time Balls In appeared last season saw another close battle here. This matchup definitely matched what we saw with 'Toya & Jem, and you couldn't think of who could win this. Jess does everything she can, but never scores any baskets and wrestles Cara Maria a few times. The redhead only manages to get 2 balls in, but it's enough to take out the win.

We always enjoy those eliminations that are so close, you have absolutely no idea who could win. These five battles, along with one from a season I might not remember much in Inferno II where Abram and Brad went at it in the same game the girls played in, are among those that live in Challenge lore. Speaking of the Road Rules vet and the winner of that last battle...

"BREAKING POINT" WITH ABE

A girl who is sorely missed on this Challenge is of course everyone's favorite red head. This is the first time since Duel II that Cara Maria hasn't been on a Challenge, and of course that was before she, Theresa, Brandon and the Fresh Meat II group made their debuts in Canada. But during this much-needed break after doing seven straight Challenges (including being a replacement on two of them) and also to fully nurse the shoulder injury she suffered in that battle with Princess Hulk, she does have something that's just as good as winning a Challenge: a great boyfriend in Abram.

   As of late, Abe has been hard at work traveling all over the country doing contractor work, in addition to maintaining a very nice performance space back home in Montana. He was in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex last month for the College Football Playoff Championship and built one of ESPN's studio sets. He helped to build a tent for Cirque de Soleil in Houston and, for the guy they call "Mini Miz," he ran into Mike "The Miz" at a WWE event in Tony's Baton Rouge backyard. He even reposted my Road Rules pic of him and his RR South Pacific cast on the VMA '03 red carpet on his IG @AbramGBoise.
   This week Abe and Cara have been spending a well-deserved vacation out in Hawaii (80* this weekend as those in her Boston hometown have braved a record blizzard), and while we've been watching Exes 2, he also asked fellow Challenge alums and fans to show support for his documentary film, Breaking Point, which was a candidate at the Audience Awards. The video documents him as he makes modern American art in representing the frontier state at an exhibition in Shanghai, China.
   Thanks to all of that support through flooding twitter timelines in asking Team MTV to hop on, it wasn't a surprise that he accomplished that goal and won the contest by over 40 votes over its 2nd place finisher. From fellow Challenge vets Mark Long, Coral and Ruthie to even Ryan from Are You The One (who got to hang out with Abe, Cara and Laurel last summer), they helped spread the word too, and Abe was able to thank them for the support.
   Abram and Cara Maria first met five years ago on Cutthroat and they have become one of the most beloved couples in the MTV community. And with the sole exception of Abe making it to TMZ and them being brought back together again on the first Exes, they have stayed together (or at least, being on friendly terms) through all this and that's a sign of staying power in this world of reality TV couples where couples who meet each other become close but ultimately fade out. Abe & Cara are so perfect together...that's why we all love them.
