Last week in Melbourne, the pairs were given the task to throw something they're familiar with from their original AYTO seasons: throwing a party by the beach. For a pair we affectionately call the Originals, Shanley and Adam experienced a roller coaster of emotions that saw them finally get back on track in becoming power couple but dissipated over trying to communicate well enough. For the man they call Big D, he reveals a devious plan with his partner Rashida as the possibility of stealing still looms. And for another perfect match, Cameron & Mikala is further drifting apart.
This week is the last week before the final, and in a twist of fate, we still have those three couples and Tori & Morgan by way of yet another blind choice. Here, tempers will no doubt flare when the last regular season mission quite literally sends the matches over the edge as they try to earn their spot in the final. For one perfect match, their relationship no doubt hangs on in the edge, while for another, they take their relationship to another level after what has transpired in the past.
All the action, reaction and interaction from this week is ahead here, plus heartache for the first couple of Season 5. And after the diary, a week after Mother's Day we'll share you some moments of Team MTV saying "Thank You Mom."

However on the other side of this, as it was for Jay from RW Explosion, there was an emptiness this Mother's Day for another member of Team MTV. For Dustin from Real World Back to Las Vegas, part of his backstory heading into that season was of his turbulent relationship with his parents, including his mom. But this past spring, Carla Boudreaux passed away unexpectedly down in his home state of Louisiana.
He revealed this loss for the first time on Mother's Day and as he now a New York resident, Dustin went to the city's place for calmness and reflection, Central Park, to enjoy the day with other families spending that Sunday Funday there and be with her in spirit. The caption to a video he posted on Facebook wrote, "I lost my mom this year on March 24th and I knew this Mothers Day would be a tough one so I decided to spend the day in the park reminiscing memories of my Mom," and there he got to tell of how he dealt with the news and even choked up a little bit. And he followed in Jay's lead in reminding people, "Hug your mom a little tighter today. Tell her what she means to you."
One person who saw that video was our ExtraTime subject, and Dustin's ex Heather, who tweeted to him afterwards, "she was a kind & loving soul. Glad to see you celebrating her in your own unique way, as always."

You're not alone: my mom helps to takes care of yours truly every day, and my sister is a mom herself to two kids as well.
