Last week, the competition began for our latest group of ten celebrities and athletes including a returning Pro, a guy from Love & Hip Hop and J-Lo's ex going up against champs CT, Wes, Ashley and champs in their minds for this third installment of the spinoff. We got to see the continuation of the dominance of both the veterans and Tony in the first challenge, but then they were caught red-handed by the twist of Champs and Stars competing together on the same teams. We also saw that pro Louise pick up right where she left off, and that ex Casper Smart win the first elimination taking out who was arguably the strongest athlete going into this season, footballer Arian Foster.
This week, those mixed teams of pros and Joes compete for the first time in what in essence is the Bloodlines format, and a hotter version of a game Canadians love that became America's guiltiest pleasure two months ago comes into focus just as it was on Duel II a decade ago. Meanwhile, a girl who found herself in a love triangle over a year ago with one who happens to be an Ex on Ex on the Beach finds herself in another relationship: this time with a star. And the week that was and is for the hottest girl in the music world right now continues to roll along as her sister decides to bring the club to The Challenge.
All the action, reaction and interaction of Week 2 of Champs vs. Stars is ahead in this reduced diary below, as this show will take on the role of appetizer on this site compared to the main event of Ex on the Beach, whose episode post comes tomorrow. Afterwards, ExtraTime will venture into serious matters when a Challenge champ who went through a lot on TV discusses something that happened recently to her... something very painful.

Well, if you've been watching this show for a long time, you know how first impressions can go away in a heartbeat... that's exactly what we saw with Kam and Booby getting flirtatious before this week's challenge, and then him deciding to put his Stars ahead of her in not only nominating her, but also not giving her a life raft after Brooke gave Killa Kam her first elimination defeat (albeit this exhibition season of sorts). We also saw Tony and Hennessy get caught in the act of touching the ground during this week's challenge, and we saw her also make quite a mark as her big sis Cardi B. continues to dominate the headlines after that big week she had. Those who listen to their podcasts know that there is more to them than their MTV pasts with their discussions of anything and everything in our world, from the social issues they're most passionate about, to the pop culture we all love. And yes, for those who can fork over some money fans can also listen to them talk MTV with their closest friends... from many of whom you know from watching all these Challenges to those the older generation of viewers will know so well.
If you have followed Sarah's entire MTV journey which began a decade ago this summer when she flew to New York to film her Real World season, you can understand that Sarah has been through so much and most of it has not been in her favor... it's so cursed a history that we will spare any of those grim details, nor will we mention the bullying she has had to endure all these years. But this past week, those who listened to the latest episode of their podcast got to hear Sarah open up about something that is perhaps the most painful experience of all for any woman.
On the latest episode of BCP, Sarah and Susie got to discuss the kinds of crazy stories that can get our attention off of a rapper and his erratic behavior of late to something more fun like the shoe selection of Katy Perry, plastic surgery for reality stars and learning about the history of BBQ before your dust off your grill for the Memorial Day weekend party. But also, Sarah had the opportunity to open up for the first time about something that a lot of women have gone through.
Those who listen to their shows know that the ladies love to give surprises, and Sarah had planned on using the podcast to announce to the public for the first time that she is pregnant and expecting her first baby with her husband, Landon Patterson. But when they went to get their first ultrasound after the first trimester of the always excruciating 9-month process, they found that the baby did not have a heartbeat and received the sad news that she had suffered a miscarriage.
For someone who had to endure a lot, both on and off camera, this was undoubtedly the most heartbreaking news she has ever had to take in, and she got to share it in vivid detail with her loyal listeners on Brain Candy, which is embedded below.
