As of late, the spotlight has been on the challenger who will soon welcome a third kid to her football family, and last week Theresa's return engagement continued as she & partner Jay found themselves in the line of fire of the house for their play. A former Bucs QB turned NFL analyst had a field day watching last week's daily challenge as ESPN's Dan Orlovsky ripped the guys for not even taking a chance to try moving in a moving chopper above choppy waters, joining TJ Lavin and the fandom in that category. And in an impressive elimination in the fire, Leroy earned a skull taking down Jay becoming the first this season to gamble himself into the crater and come back victorious.
This sports weekend is not only a big one here in America, but also for Lolo Jones - as over in Europe she's competing at the Bobsled World Championships after garnering a World Cup win in Austria as the 3-time Olympian eyes one more run at an elusive medal next year at the Beijing Winter Games. But she's also finding herself in the heart of this week's Challenge drama, as the daily challenge shifts to the mud, and a three-part search for a relic in the pit. And as the number of players start to dwindle, there's only five more skulls left on offer in the elimination crater including just one for the men, as the teams begin to worry about partnerships and alliances as we're just at the halfway point.

Nam certainly put a good effort against CT in proving his worth, but at night's end it's Kam and Kyle who are power team thanks to him notching a second win in pole wrestle against the big man after they were in that three-way battle on War of the Worlds, where he knocked out both the 3-time champ and that Brazilian JP. And finally, there is something to take pride in for the Big Brother champ as Josh takes out the win over Mechie, and he can thank getting that running start at the beginning and surviving that early struggle with the balls to take out Blac Chyna's ex. And below, the finals qualifiers so far...

CONGRATS NEW DADS...
Amidst the daily doses of bad news that we've had to put up with for what is now eleven months since THAT thing began, we always find something to smile about when we get to share this kind of news: more of our MTV favorites becoming parents or getting engaged. And there's two more from this file.

Us getting to see those skulls on Double Agents and Total Madness and before that on Rivals III can harken back to Free Agents, where an image of that was also on the Kill Card: you draw that and you go into elimination. While Jordan infamously drew up all of those one week to go up against Bananas and lost, Johnny Reilly avoided drawing that kill card and he went on to place second in the final. He couldn't match that result in his later two Challenge starts, but those who followed RWPDX remember him for that relationship with Hooters girl Averey.
Now happily married up there in New England, this past week Johnny Portland and his wife found out that they are about to become parents, and they held a socially distant and small family gathering to find out who they'll have later this year. And with him slapping a hockey puck in the winter snow, it shot out pink smoke, emblematic of the incoming arrival of a baby girl.
And those of you who follow this Challenge world might know about Mikey P. -- he was Kailah's boyfriend before she discovered Ex On The Beach and Love Island's Sam Bird, but he also has some MTV experience having appeared on From G's to Gents with Farnsworth Bentley back in the late 2000's, and he's friends with many others in both the MTV community and the broader reality community from Pauly D. to Scheana from Vanderpump Rules - herself about to become a mom too.
And now, there's someone who Mikey can get some advice on how to settle down in that tough challenge of being a parent: also last week, he and his girlfriend announced on social media that he, too, is expecting his first kid. He captioned in the IG photo while wearing Ninja Turtles gear, "I finally found out what the secret of the ooze is 🥷🐢👼🏼 - @thebrandiann is growing a baby ninja!" And everyone from fellow Challengers and Scheana to UFC fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and even Ken Griffey, Jr. sent out their congrats... we do too.
There is more coming your way here this week: on Sunday night on here after the Super Bowl, we'll have more on the big news that took place down in Hollywood involving a fellow castmate from a Double Agent's first MTV show - and it only adds to her incredible journey after being in that house of love. And coming earlier next week - and schedule permitting, we'll slide into Lolo's latest chapter in her quest for gold on the bobsled track, which has just as many twists & turns as the journey itself.
