Just after the bomb that was of TJ Lavin walking into the house to give Fessy his marching orders for that Pizza-Gate fight, last week (and provided that you got to watch after what happened across the TV dial which we'll explain here in due course) saw the first real move by the Rookie players to try and break up the alliance of the Veterans who have been in the driver's seat from the beginning. The week's daily, "Dive Bomb," fittingly served as a code name for British Love Islander Priscilla to go from being in the Casa to being in charge of the first-timers' plan to finally gain an upper hand for a change, which eventually came true, just after drama involving Berna and Amber in the nomination room.
In the end, Berna & Hughie faced Priscilla & Jeremiah and the Islanders came away victorious... and her bold move of having every veteran be paired with a rookie signaled the end of one game and the start of another, and this week marks what, the Challenge Mania duo of Derrick and birthday boy Scott Yager feel, is the beginning of Spies, Lies & Allies as it was originally intended. This week, the reset button gets pushed in a way as the vets now have to go back from scratch to devise new strategies as they find themselves having to see who's loyal to one another after weeks of letting the rookies take the lair stage. For one who now has a member of the Hype House as part of his fandom, he may find himself in trouble with the rest of the house, just as they get down and dirty with playing some mudball and try to figure out who is playing dirty, as the game as we knew it then now becomes totally different.

A Road Rules legend in Rachel from Campus Crawl of almost two decades providing us with the last word on what was, in a way, the beginning to the second season within a season: Bettina taking the lead with Cory in taking down Amber B. & Jeremiah just after Logan & Nany benefited from Nelly's misdoings to be power team.
But we are all in a state of speculation of sorts of what could be TJ's latest Teej-bomb to drop on the players: with no players being stolen at the end of that, could we be going to an individual game, this becoming a team game with those nine rookies going up against the nine vets, or something only the host knows? Only time will tell.
And that premise is also true as the teaser I gave in the very first post above about the possibility that I may be going to Challenge Mania and its second visit to the Bay Area to come the week before Christmas. Saturday, December 18th is when Derrick and the one who had a birthday this past week, Scott Yager, will bring Bay Area champ Darrell and his Campus Crawl champ Kendal, and other yet to be announced guests, to San Francisco for the live show... one of the first to take place post-pandemic after the birthday boy got to mark a belated birthday today in Tampa Bay with Tony (pinch-hitting for the Bulldog), Fessy, Amber, Corey and Michela.
I got to join CM's Patreon platform last week at its most affordable level -- $1 a month, but it still allows me to get some of the benefits that come with being a Maniac of the unofficial podcast of record to Challenge Nation. As of right now, I've not purchased my ticket as of yet as I will wait for a vote of confidence that would allow me to venture up to the City from where I am based in the Silicon Valley and during what we hope are the last days of the pandemic. But I'm hopeful that one of the most sacred items on my bucket list -- meeting an MTV personality -- may be crossed off, and do be sure to stay tuned to see if I get to join all of you who are coming to Challenge Mania Bay Area #2.
As for now, as we're in the midst of a 3-day weekend for many of you (that includes my dad who worked at NASA and got that Monday off along with the post office and banks), we have got plenty still to come here: the 'Pulse of Floribama Shore comes your way for your Sunday ahead as the animals take center stage for their first day of school in the month of October. But as you saw up top, after this week's episode aired the trailer dropped for Real World Homecoming: Los Angeles which debuts Thanksgiving Eve... and that is part of a busy time ahead here as we will introduce you to the crew that made the biggest reality TV story of the summer, among other things.
