Back four years ago here in 2017, we first discovered Andres Rodriguez from Secaucus, New Jersey, who invited a few of his friends to meet competitors from MTV's The Challenge when they marked the show's thirtieth season and the first to dish out $1 million in prize money. The real reason we featured him back then was that he was the creator, producer, editor, host and occasional competitor on his own homemade version of his favorite show made especially for YouTube. Ever since, we have chronicled the entire journey of Dre Media as the man at the heart of this operation has continued to provide all of us with plenty of enjoyable content during this time where we all are in need of an escape.
Though we did that original story in connection to Dirty 30, The Caucus Challenge was the reason we featured Dre in the first place: he's done eleven of those since he first started doing those back when he was going to high school. Something that can be called by a five-letter word or an alternative wording starting with a P had something to do with Season 11, Novice Era, being put on hold for over a year... but during this time he has created a spin-off series that brings Dre's unique brand of YouTube reality to a vacation away from home... and this summer saw the latest chapter of The Life We Live.
As the U.S. has just reopened its borders to international travelers for the first time in over a year and a half, cities that garner a chunk of its local economy from tourism should reap the benefits in the coming months as they try to make up for lost time. One of those regions that relies on those travel dollars in Orlando, Florida -- home to the world's largest theme park complex of the various parks and hotels that make up Walt Disney World, along with Universal Orlando, a SeaWorld park, and the many beaches and golf courses around the Central Florida area.
O-Town is a fitting host town to TLWL 7, and it is also a poignant one as well: this season takes place amidst the annual commemorations of Pride across the country during the month of June that give the LGBTQ+ community reason to celebrate. But this region is also home to the biggest tragedy to impact the gay & lesbian community in over a generation: on an early June night in 2016, the Pulse nightclub was where 49 people were killed in one of the many awful shootings that have cast a dark shadow on this country, and this year Orlando marked the fifth anniversary of that terrible weekend.
But that won't put a damper on what is always an anticipated trip that is wrapped around a season of The Life We Live... and it's with this unique situation in mind that sees just three past castmates return: Andres, Mike from past seasons of this, and Lance from Colorado Springs and Dallas. Those three are joined by an entirely new set of roommates who, despite being from different sections of the country, share one thing in mind: they are part of the LGBT community.

🏳️🌈 DRE • "After a chaotic experience on TLWL: Dallas, Dre once again has gathered a group of individuals to travel and film an experience of a lifetime. Coming into the house he’s ready to mingle and live his best life celebrating PRIDE, making new memories and friends. Dre plans to stay under the radar but everyone knows, with Dre comes Drama."
🏳️🌈 MIKE • "MAGIC MIKE IS BACK! From stirring the pot to blacking out day and night, the party himself is returning to TLWL! Coming in as one of the only OG’s Mike is as excited as ever to travel with The “Tres Amigos.” He says this time around he plans on making more connections with the newbies and partying comes second. Things get spicy when Mike finds himself in an interesting love octagon."
🏳️🌈 LANCE • "From Newbie to one of the best known OG’s, the king himself is returning for his third season of TLWL. Lance has had his fair share of ups and downs in the TLWL houses but this time around he says “No drama for me. This is a drama free season.” Newly single, with a positive mindset and two of his good friends Dre and Mike, what could possibly go wrong? In this house full of newbies Lance has his eye set on a particular piece of candy BUT others may have their eyes on him… what will tempt the King …"
🏳️🌈 TOBIAS • "TLWL’s reunion host Tobias has entered the house! The baddest b*tch is making his long awaited debut. This young, wild, and free spirited babe is here to “have a fun time and maybe get some d*** or whatever..” Nothing is holding him back in Orlando. In fact, Tobias is ready to explore ALL his options."
🏳️🌈 E’DARIUS • "Freshly twenty-one, E’Darius aka Taco is coming on TLWL to celebrate, have a great time, and possibly make a special connection. He has been a loyal supporter of Dre.Media and has his eye on one of the OG’s moving in… This newbie is coming in BOLD and an open book. Things get messy with Taco when his feelings and words, don’t match his actions. Will E’Darius enjoy his stay in the TLWL house and get his love story.. or will he leave with a reality check?"
🏳️🌈 MARCIE • "Marcie is a young, fierce, Latina Transgender woman from Miami who loves to party and have fun! She’s a firecracker and holds back nothing! She says, “I love being the center of attention and being the Star.” Coming into the house she’s ready to make her mark and kiss some lips! In the house she opens up about her struggles and past. Marcie finds herself in a hard place battling her feelings and a friendship."
🏳️🌈 KEVIN • "California’s king has arrived! Coming all the way from the west coast, Kevin is taking on the TLWL experience! Being more of an introvert and never doing something like this, he’s here to have a great time, make real connections, and memories. His good looks and charm are obvious but when living in a house full of strangers, a more raw side of Kevin is awakened."
🏳️🌈 RUTH • "This Caribbean girl is here to party! Ruth is coming into the house ready to outshine past newbies! Coming in with high spirits and positive energy she finds herself eyeing down a fellow newbie.. Tensions between her and others brew when she unapologetically enjoys herself and a certain someone’s company. Ruth is openminded and ready for whatever this trip has to offer her."
🏳️🌈 JOSEY • "This southern man is coming in with ALL the sas! Josey is here to live and breathe the party! His bold personality makes his presence in the house known and he doesn’t take sh*t from anyone! Alongside him is his brother Lance, who is no stranger to drama. Is Josey the calm to the storm or will he be too much to handle? Josey has no shame and is ready to make his mark on TLWL."
🏳️🌈 SUNNI • "Small town country girl Sunni is in the big O! Coming from a very conservative lifestyle where being unique is a shame, Sunni is here to fully embody her true self. Experiencing so many new things and exploring her sexuality, shes here to find herself and her TLWL family! This is a whole new world for her and she’s coming in with open arms!"
🏳️🌈 XAVIER • "Will the baddest city boy stand up.. “I’m here to give you all the juice.” He says. Xavier is single and ready to mingle. Wanting to make the best of this trip, he finds himself making connections in the house and sharing a few kisses. X is from New York and is not here to back down. We all know what happened last time a New Yorker moved into the TLWL house."
Just as it was for the most recent season of MTV's Are You The One?, an all-inclusive LGBTQ+ cast are the stars of this season of The Life We Live. Dre, E'Darius, Josey, Kevin, Lance, Marcie, Mike, Ruth, Sunni, Tobias and Xavier are all about to let loose and to let the drama flow, all while also getting to also share their experiences and stories during the first in-person celebration of pride in over a year.

And there is plenty more in store for Dre this winter and into the new year: a new season of The Caucus Challenge, the twelfth one entitled Rogue Royale, is being slated to drop during Thanksgiving weekend in a couple weeks, followed by the Season 8 of TLWL - and a first for the spinoff.
