In the past few weeks, the Bam has celebrated the birthdays of the former bromance but without any incident compared to what happened last time, and they have also ventured out of the house and into the woods in Northern Georgia for a camping retreat -- save for Nilsa as she went home to visit her now husband Gus 2.0. And when we last with them, Camp Peach continued on for the rest of them before making their way back home for a backyard Mardi Gras party when Kirk's friends -- including Jasmine from Season 8 of Are You The One? -- made their way there. It also represented a most testy test of temptation for one-time playboy Gus, as he now will try to make sure to stay loyal to his girl when two girls with the same name are courting for his attention.
Partying is what the Bam does best... and they've had ample times to do that in Florida the first three seasons. At the end of that first Floribama summer four years ago, the Bam were joined by members of their families at the original Shore house in Panama City Beach, including Nilsa's late dad. But that little get-together was a quaint one compared to what we had on Season 3 last year, and while we had little idea that it would be one of the few of these we either got to watch on our couch or experience during that lost 2020, it felt like the party of the century. Well, when Kirk's friends and Jasmine head on back to Atlanta, the families will take over to continue this party mood... and there's a reason for that: it's Nilsa's baby shower, and Gus 1.0's sister Hannah will also make that long-awaited visit.

Very soon once Spies, Lies and Allies determines its victors, the MTV Reality focus -- both here when there's just one Challenge season airing and the Florida side of things -- will shift to the goings on for the cool cousins of Siesta Key. We at DCBLOG still have a Season 4 summer finale to write on, and our recap of that will appear before the second half of this latest batch of sultry drama under the sun kicks off in the wintertime. And when we do arrive back in Sarasota, we will be witness to Madisson & Ish tying the knot among other things... and soon, the newlyweds (and Nilsa & Gus 2.0 too) will be joined in the category of wearing rings by two others in the clique.

Something that Chloe has chosen to keep out of the camera's reach has been of her relationship with her boyfriend, Chris. And earlier this month once filming of what's known in production circles as Season 4-B wrapped up, they took a plane ride out west, went on a long 8-mile hike at a canyon in Utah that brought them to a trail that is, fittingly enough, called Fairyland. Her Instagram caption below tells the rest of the story: "As I was standing at the overlook reflecting over all the emotions I felt throughout this hike, I heard Chris say my name and I turned around and there he was down on one knee. We both kind of blacked out and I remember breaking down in tears and saying how crazy this is! He asked me to marry him and I said YES!"
Chloe added the magic 4-letter word to that caption: "LOVE is the most powerful force on the planet! When you lead with love anything is possible. Emeralds are associated with the heart chakra and hold many metaphysical properties some which include compassion, balance, wisdom, patience and universal love. Okay, so their relationship doesn't have the drama that surrounds everybody else in the Siesta clique, and that is a sign that things are just about fine in their world. And it wasn't a surprise at all when, to begin this very long weekend, Garrett and Makenna flew out to Eastern Tennessee and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park... and he, too, also popped out the ring and posed the question to her. And the rest is history -- Garrett is now Siesta Key's first husband-to-be.
He writes to what is his girlfriend and now fiancé in his own caption, "I promised you that I'd be with you & only you till the day I ask you to marry me. Well today is that day where I asked you to be my forever n ever. We've been through so much together which has made it feel like a lifetime already but guess what that's exactly what we get to do. I truly love every single thing about you & never could imagine life without you. You make me a better person every single day bringing out the best version of myself. I thank you for that Kenna. I can’t wait to make you my wife next but for now I'm blessed & excited for this next chapter that we get to create so many more memories together."
Our congrats go out to Chloe and Garrett, and also to Madisson & Ish... a sure sign that the new year in Siesta Key will be here before we know it. And that doesn't include a collab with the musician of this crew and the queen of music video cameos as well as a night one of their friends got to step into the ring, and we will tell those two stories as we lead up to our return to not only the beaches of America's most beautiful sands, but also Ex On The Beach and Season 5 with familiar faces. And of course, we'll be covering the drama of both shows as we enter both the Winter cycle and 2022 Inside MTV Reality.
As for what is ahead right now, our focus shifts back to America's fifth major sport and the matter of determining who goes home first on Season 2 of The Challenge All-Stars... and a moment that some are already calling the biggest one of 2021 in Challenge Nation.
