As most of you return to work & school after the MLK holiday weekend, we bring you an abbreviated edition of DC WRAP for The Challenge Bloodlines and Episode 8. As mentioned in the 'Pulse for this episode yesterday, I'll be forgoing the Things to Know episode review for EP8 and move it to next week (perhaps even later) as I'll be devoting energies to my special DC Sports series on the NFL and football as we head towards Super Bowl 50. The first of those DC Big Game posts will come your way this weekend along with the EP9 posts as well.
As for last week, we had another one of Bananas' favorite ways of doing things on these Challenges as well as a chance to throw a Challenge go awry. And there was another elimination win for a girl who's the early favorite to win my Breakout Performer award once we reach season's end. But all attention was on a tribute to the late Diem Brown in her sister Faith, and the great CT, joining them at the week's challenge. Of course, we'll have reaction from you, the fans, on this week's events plus Winners of the Night as well.
We'll also cover have the launch of the Real World season as well, as the moment this season's champion is determined all eyes will shift to Las Vegas and its March debut. And fitting for Sin City, it's Go Big or Go Home as the thrills just keep on coming. All that, plus a Team MTV reunion after the jump.

- Jenna: To win three eliminations in one single season is always one of the great feats any competitor can have on The Challenge. And after what we saw with Adam & Brittany accomplishing that feat on Exes 2, now another name joins them in doing that trifecta. And just as it was for that duo last year in taking care of Dustin and then Jemmye, Jenna eliminated two past finalists from this season: her beating Larissa knocked Camila very early, and now with her beating early favorite KellyAnne seeing the Sydney vet's first elimination loss this far out (only other one was losing last Dome in The Island). The game might not be the best - it will obviously make those who try it get dizzy, but in taking out Kell and notching this 3-0 record as well overcoming early difficulties with Brianna, plus trivia and clever commentary, it certainly makes Jenna early favorite to take my Breakout Performer award at the end.

In paying homage to a show that once formed part of the MTV Trifecta over a decade ago in Road Rules, it promises to inject great energy to this reality pioneer in Real World. And of course, where better to put this twist on display than in Las Vegas. And imagine this... the premiere date will be a red letter date. Not only is March 17th Real World premiere day, it's also St. Patrick's Day and it's the first full day of action of the 2016 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. Is it time perhaps to ask for legislation to declare this an unofficial holiday and let everybody a day or two to enjoy hoops and a new Real World as well. Again, DCBLOG will preview this season down the road once we get down to business on Bloodlines.
Of course, we saw Christina & Dario on Bloodlines and though they were eliminated near the halfway point, obviously they made their mark. There was Team Eleven's hookup with Tony, and then Dario & Raphy making their presence felt in the rookie alliance that fell short, and Drio getting close with KellyAnne. If things are right on the grapevine, this won't be the only time we will be seeing them on our screens this year...stay tuned of course.
The Boston twins have now settled into new home quarters in Las Vegas, which is also home base for Brandon, who we saw with Team Eleven all during that season last year and had dominated those weekly challenges as well...perhaps he can translate that success into a future Challenge. And just over a week ago, they had the chance to play host to the one who held that final key to the $1 million with one bold move that got everyone talking at the 10th and last match-up ceremony.
If you saw AYTO Season 2, then you saw former football player Layton. During that season, we saw him with several girls and got into it with Anthony the same week their parents came to town and suffered that 2nd no-light MC. At the last MC, when having the last choice among those in the house after the rest of those five non-Truth Booth matches had made their choices, Layton had to choose between Christina or Tyler after they had 8 lights the previous round. After being aligned to Tyler, he went with the blonde girl, which put everyone in for a loop and scared the living daylights of everyone in putting their payday in jeopardy, but it didn't matter as they won the cash.
There above in Vegas while on a weekend trip there, Layton got to hang out with Dario and with Brandon. And considering how dramatic that house was that season in Puerto Rico, it's all good now in looking back on that experience. And again, if things are right on the talk in the drumbeat, we could be seeing them in the future. Stay tuned.

WINNERS OF THE NIGHT
Aside from CT & Diem Brown's sister Faith, for which they're honored at the bottom of yesterday's 'Pulse post, there's only one Winner of the Night for Episode 8.- Jenna: To win three eliminations in one single season is always one of the great feats any competitor can have on The Challenge. And after what we saw with Adam & Brittany accomplishing that feat on Exes 2, now another name joins them in doing that trifecta. And just as it was for that duo last year in taking care of Dustin and then Jemmye, Jenna eliminated two past finalists from this season: her beating Larissa knocked Camila very early, and now with her beating early favorite KellyAnne seeing the Sydney vet's first elimination loss this far out (only other one was losing last Dome in The Island). The game might not be the best - it will obviously make those who try it get dizzy, but in taking out Kell and notching this 3-0 record as well overcoming early difficulties with Brianna, plus trivia and clever commentary, it certainly makes Jenna early favorite to take my Breakout Performer award at the end.

The other big news in the realm of the MTV Trifecta came on Challenge Wednesday as well. The great folks at Entertainment Weekly revealed, as part of their winter/spring 25 Scoops series, the theme, the twist and the cast for Season 31 of Real World. The show (and my first love in the reality TV world) will return to Las Vegas for the third time as yet another twist will bring a totally new element to this television pioneer. We'll dissect all that in a season preview post as we near its premiere on St. Patrick's Day, but for now here's a 'Pulse Extra.

In paying homage to a show that once formed part of the MTV Trifecta over a decade ago in Road Rules, it promises to inject great energy to this reality pioneer in Real World. And of course, where better to put this twist on display than in Las Vegas. And imagine this... the premiere date will be a red letter date. Not only is March 17th Real World premiere day, it's also St. Patrick's Day and it's the first full day of action of the 2016 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. Is it time perhaps to ask for legislation to declare this an unofficial holiday and let everybody a day or two to enjoy hoops and a new Real World as well. Again, DCBLOG will preview this season down the road once we get down to business on Bloodlines.

A TEAM 21 VEGAS REUNION
A brief ExtraTime for you here, and there's a picture for us to share with you here. And as we begin the two-month countdown to March 17th and Real World: Go Big or Go Home, recently Las Vegas played host to three guys of the Trifecta whose biggest moment came in Puerto Rico over a year ago.
What we saw on Season 3 of Are You The One? of the cast playing a bad game for the first nine tries and then pulling off an unlikely 10th round comeback was something incredible. But while Team Ohana scrapped their way to the cash, the Season 2 cast also came from behind as well to win in that final round. But for Team 21, they suffered two no-light blackouts but found a way to win by relying on the Truth Booth. And it was there that they got three of their five perfect matches down the stretch that earned them the 7-figure payday.

The Boston twins have now settled into new home quarters in Las Vegas, which is also home base for Brandon, who we saw with Team Eleven all during that season last year and had dominated those weekly challenges as well...perhaps he can translate that success into a future Challenge. And just over a week ago, they had the chance to play host to the one who held that final key to the $1 million with one bold move that got everyone talking at the 10th and last match-up ceremony.

There above in Vegas while on a weekend trip there, Layton got to hang out with Dario and with Brandon. And considering how dramatic that house was that season in Puerto Rico, it's all good now in looking back on that experience. And again, if things are right on the talk in the drumbeat, we could be seeing them in the future. Stay tuned.

● For someone who's emerged as early contender for best webcaster this season, Ashley Weitzel-Hill (@AshleyWeitzel) has been able to snag some BIG guests on her Google+ show by Mulyx Media. Over the weekend, Abram & Michael joined Ashley from the frontier to chat about their Week 6 Pit win, them entering the season midway and of course Cara Maria, among others. And yesterday, Tony rejoined her to, of course, talk about his dramatic early-season stint in Turkey, Madison and so much more. Check out both of those interviews, along with Candice, Shane, Tony's RW Skeletons castmate Violetta and Big Brother's Johnny Mac on MM's YouTube channel.
● Brian Cohen (@BusDriversRoute) and Ali Lasher (@LashsTweets) had plenty to talk about on the EP 8 edition of the MTV RHAP on Rob Has A Podcast. They got to discuss the Diem tribute, that thrown challenge attempt and the elimination spin-o-rama.
