Nothing like a Saturday, isn't it? Welcome again to DCBLOG and after last night offering dirty moves and a breakout star in the making in Colombia, our look Inside the MTV Trifecta now proceeds into covering Week 4 of Are You The One? Season 6.
   Last week down in the Big Easy, the early good start this season's cast had was set back somewhat when Anthony & Geles were sent into the Truth Booth with high hopes but returned with those being dashed by a "No Match" message. Then, a bad second matchup ceremony saw the group notch only one light at the patio, but felt lucky that they didn't black out and lose $500 grand. We also saw Keyana break up and then make up with Michael, the group going limbo dancing to try and balance an egg from dropping, and the daters going on a trip to meet gators.
   At week's end, the house voted in super player Malcolm and Nurys into the Truth Booth, and after last week showcasing his music on here this week they find out their verdict. Also, frustrations continues to mount for couples who feel they're getting in too deep and singles who are likewise having trouble trying to make connections. And what happens when a game of harmless fun turns into something a little more? One couple finds some heartbreak when something MTV is infamously known for takes place in the AYTO house.

So, very little progress for Team NOLA as they remain 0-3 in the Truth Booth and managed to regain just one of their two lost lights at matchup, though $1 million is still in the jackpot. We saw the players get dusted, the daters go on another bar hop down Bourbon Street, and those at the house going sumo wrestling. And with shades of what happened with Dustin, Mike and Heather on Real World Back to Vegas, a game of dares leads Malcolm to once again lose it. We'll have more on this episode, a Things to Know recap of the past few episodes and where the game stands from inside the Strategy Room tomorrow on the WRAP.

AYTO MEETS UFC's DC

Thirteen days ago tonight, the world watched with horror and grief as the unfortunate events of the deadly shootings in Las Vegas unfolded. A banned weapon located inside a hotel room of the Mandalay Bay on the Strip fired downward at concert goers at an outdoor venue across the street, and fifty-eight people were killed... the worst mass shooting in American history, overtaking the rampage at Pulse Nightclub when 49 people were gunned down sixteen months ago in Orlando.

   Vegas was distraught by the events of 1 October, and Southern Nevada has had plenty of time to heal in the wake of the city's biggest tragedy since the two deadly hotel fires that took place in the early '80s. I was affected in a way by this event as a friend who went to high school with me works as a first responder and he and others got to shine during that dark hour. And Challenge host TJ Lavin offered his thanks to the Metro police department yesterday on his YouTube channel.

As the city is also its hometown, last Saturday night the UFC had the chance to host the first major event held there since the Route 91 Harvest Festival, as the region came to heal but also have a night of MMA to take, at least for some time, people's minds off of the events of the previous seven days. And together with the NHL's Vegas Golden Knights winning their first three games, sports has offered some comfort for a grieving community as Vegas Strong has become the city's rallying cry.

   The UFC card was affected by the nixing of a planned Heavyweight Championship bout between titlist Stipe Miocic and former champ Cain Velasquez, but taking its place was a Flyweight Title bout where champion Demetrious Johnson made history in successfully defending his title for an 11th time, surpassing the great Anderson Silva. And an interim Lightweight belt bout saw Tony Johnson win and then call out Conor McGregor for a chance at him after what happened back in August.

For someone who loves the UFC and who actually stated his intentions to follow in the footsteps of the man who will host next month's Champs vs. Stars - The Miz, Anthony from AYTO Season 2 and The Challenge Invasion spent his birthday weekend in Vegas with some of his friends and went to UFC 207. While gambling the night away up the Strip at The Cosmopolitan (where my mom stays when we go to Vegas), they got to run into Daniel Cormier, who earlier in the night had words for former champion Anthony Johnson, but then apologized.
   Last we saw Cormier in the Octagon, he was getting stopped via TKO in his much anticipated Light Heavyweight Title rematch against Jon Jones back in July. A month after, that bout was declared a no-contest after Bones had tested positive for a banned substance, got suspended yet again and had that title stripped and handed back to Cormier, who gained the title after Jones' dealings with the law saw him being suspended. Below is an Instagram picture Anthony, DC and friends... both Ant and I now have something in common in having spent our birthdays in the great town.

LIFE CHANGER: TIMES THREE

Before we go for now, the following congratulations are in order for three members of the Trifecta...

● First, Austin Sheets - the Season 3 entrepreneur and perfect match to Dirty 30 competitor Britni, announced via Instagram this past week that he is about to become a dad. His new son is slated for an April 2018 arrival, as he becomes the second member of what's now become a legendary cast of sorts to become a parent after Cheyenne announced her pregnancy almost exactly a year ago.

● Second, thru an Instagram story posted by Season 1 house bestie Kayla Lusby, another AYTO alum, Paige Brendel from Season 1 got to say "yes" to the engagement question from her boyfriend on the beach. She's remembered for being part of a Truth Booth that separated her match Chris T. from Shanley and led to a heated fight between Shans and Simone after the result was revealed.
● And third was something that was lost a bit by last month's busy stretch, but late last month Heather Cooke from Real World Back to Las Vegas and runner-up on The Challenge Rivals II, also had her moment of donning an engagement ring when her boyfriend did likewise in the sunset. Our congrats go out to all of them, plus another member of the Trifecta who also has become a dad.
