There has been an influx of news in the MTV Reality community lately with some of your favorite Challengers, and the King of Siesta Key, announcing their entries into parenthood, headlined by Taylor Selfridge welcoming her first kid and Cory Wharton becoming daddy to two girls in addition to Ryder with Cheyenne Floyd. The year of 2020 will sure see us make many congratulatory words to new parents in Team MTV in the coming year, and the first of those came last Friday, adding to a month that's certainly worth a million in the minds of the resident pop-off queen...
Last month, Are You The One? Season 3 alum and six-time Challenger Amanda Garcia held a baby shower for her new kid that also doubled as an engagement party when her boyfriend popped the question and the ring. And last Friday, they welcomed a 6 lbs, 13 oz. baby boy named Av Anthony Reinhardt, for which he captioned on Instagram, "Our family has grown by two feet π£π He’s sooo perfect, thank you babe for giving me the best gift EVER!! #blessed #priceless #familyfirst." And the new baby mom wrote, "✨l o v e a t f i r s t s i g h t ✨."
Amanda's fellow MTV'ers got to send their congrats to the third member of the renowned AYTO3 Ohana to become a parent, with Hunter writing, "So beautiful!!!!!!! Congrats!", while her partner on War of the Worlds, Josh saying, "God bless ππ½❤️". Stacey from AYTO 3 wrote, "I’m so obsessed with him already π❤️❤️❤️❤️. You were made to be a mommy !!! So proud of you," while fellow mom Cheyenne added, "Omg I’m obsessed π π SO PROUD OF YOU SISTER!!" And another one wrote, "Ah he is sooo adorable ! You did it sister!! Sending you soo much love and light on this special day!" -- and speaking of that one...
And over in Tinseltown, someone who was in the same EOTB Season 1 house as Taylor and Cory is also now a new mom. The last time we saw Faith Stowers on our screens, it was her leaving The Challenge: War of the Worlds 2 back last fall, but instead of people going after her for quitting she offset that enigma with the announcement of a pregnancy of her own... and her journey to parenthood began at just about the same time as Amanda. And this takes place while Season 8 of the show she made her TV debut on, Vanderpump Rules on Bravo, is airing, and as Pump Rules' original six haven't yet entered the world of being a parent, Faith beat Scheana, Stassi, Kristen, Katie and the Toms to having a baby first.
This past week, Faith welcomed her new kid without much fanfare, but it was when she wished her boyfriend and baby daddy that we saw the first picture of the new kid on her Instagram. We've chosen not to embed that pic on here, but those who've shared a Challenge house and the first EOTB mansion with her sent Faith congrats including Angela who wrote, "Omg congrats partner!!!π," while Kayla Sessler of Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant added, "Congratulations πππ." Last night, TM viewers watched Kayla welcome new kid, Ariah Jordynn Davis, a day after TM2's Kailyn Lowry found out the gender of her fourth kid, which is the same as the first three: a baby boy. But the news of these new babies pales in comparison with the surprise bombshell of last week...

Camila's seven-year MTV stint began in a Spring Break special mini Challenge during the channel's annual rite of springtime in 2010 when she was chosen to be part of that team season, and was chosen by champ Susie Meister to be on her team. The sight of her puking and collapsing in the scorching Mexican sun and sand after consuming a hot pepper saw her get hospitalized, but it was the beginning to what would be an entertaining seven year run on The Challenge once she was chosen to go onto Cutthroat later that year, the first of ten seasons she would be on along with being on two of the Champs vs. Stars/Pros spinoffs.
Those of us who watched her on those thirteen overall seasons she's been on know Camila is a total firecracker: a competitor who won two Challenge titles and made it to the end of three other seasons, and who handed the mighty Laurel her first elimination defeat on Invasion. But it's the fiery moments we remember the most: who can forget her getting in that late night meltdown on Battle of the Exes, one of the many moments remember the most of the Camilinator. But obviously, it's the bad behavior that happened in the last two appearances of her Challenge career that ended her time on the show, but we don't really want to make mention of it here.
Three years on after what happened on XXX: Dirty 30 and Champs vs. Stars I, Camila has forged on outside the MTV cameras, including working on her mental health and plenty of traveling around the world, including settling in Vancouver, Canada where her mom now resides near where Fresh Meat II took place (and where the 2010 Winter Olympics began ten years ago today, February 12.). And it was last Tuesday that People Magazine broke the news exclusively of Camila being the latest to now take on a greater challenge: parenthood.
She told the outlet, "I am pregnant and bringing a baby into the world in the summer of 2020. Having a child and being a mother is going to help me look at the world with a whole new perspective than ever before, and I cannot wait for it." Camila did not plan on being a mom at this stage in her post-Challenge life and hadn't thought about at all, but she adds that, "This is the best decision I've ever made... I have so much to look forward to and I want to make sure that I'm bringing this baby into the most amazing life and world that I can."

Her MTV colleagues sent congrats to the new mom including Tori, "So happy for you! You’re child is going to be such an amazing free spirit ❤️," while Ashley K. wrote, "What!!!!!! Congratulations love! π€π€π€π€π€π€π€," and Jordan added, "We are so dang proud of you, mama!! ❤️❤️." The one who beat Camila for her second Challenge title before retiring into mom's life, Paula, wrote, "Wait..... whhhaaatttttttt ????? How amazing!!!!," while the one who was beaten by Camila on Invasion Laurel added, "Congrats Camila! π."
In an additional Insta post this week, Camila reminded us the challenges that lay ahead: "In times like these, even though my first instinct is to want to feel better and to fight the emotions, I have learned that the best thing I can do is just let it be... to feel it, release it, and breathe. If you might be going through something, just remember that your are not alone and it is ok to feel, it is ok to be uncertain, it is ok to feel vulnerable... feeling lost does not mean you are lost and not feeling ok does not mean your life is not where it is meant to be it just means you are going through the journey."
