Welcome again to DCBLOG's coverage of The Challenge: Free Agents and to DC SocialPulse powered by DCNOW. Last week in Uruguay, the famous friendship known as Team Black saw some erosion, along with balls taking precedent. Plus, a house romance finally sees its end when Cohutta lost in the draw, while a surprise injury Cara Maria suffered put her chances of winning in jeopardy.
This week, it's week 10 as we are two weeks away from the final, and there's a pairs mission this week that involves water, running and puzzles. Those who take the victory this week will then face a tough decision during voting and what happens in the Draw will eventually pit two great females, or frenamies, against each other in elimination.
After we cover this week's episode, we'll have our fans of the week and a couple little tidbits about the cast of a show that's not BMP related but wanted to share with you well after they won money before this season's competitors could even cash in.

> WINNERS OF THE NIGHT
With that dreaded ending (which I actually missed live because I wanted to go to the bathroom and I couldn't keep it in, if you know what I mean), plus this busy sports weekend and my niece celebrating both her 6th birthday & graduation from kindergarten in the same week, we will likewise have to table theWRAP of this week's episode until either next week's SocialPulse, a review/preview post before the finale, or perhaps in our extended finale SP post...stay tuned of course. But I do have some winners of the night to share with you however, and we'll dive straight into it right now, starting with...
- Nany: Often times, The Challenge becomes a game of momentum...winning last elimination to eventually win the final, winning missions to play into a final, winning a bunch in a row, etc. Nany has won the last two challenges and finally she's fulfilling the great potential she's had since BOTS2. On her previous two seasons, Nany lost an elimination very close to the end, first when Alton threw an arena to get out of Turkey and then losing the next-to-last jungle in Thailand. But now that she has won these past two weeks, this finally gives her that dose of confidence that finally she will be in the money. And with one of the two in what's now the first of possibly a double elimination next week, Laurel & Cara Maria, guaranteed to be going home before the final, Nany's chances to make it to the final and perhaps win the whole thing will increase, depending upon what happens next week. I have a good feeling this will be the 4th time in 5 seasons that Vegas XXV will have represented in a Challenge final.
- Johnny: If you thought Team Portland's chances to be present in a Challenge final for a 2nd straight season went down the drain with Jordan and then Jessica losing in the arena, than you'll probably want to watch their Real World season over the summer. For the last one standing in this favorite cast of mine who I've followed since the beginning, Johnny has rode a wave of the luck of the Irish to get to next week safely, and not just because his family has Irish roots too. As Andrew Kirk told me during this EP, he's the luckiest guy in Uruguay now, having to not worry about facing CT in the wall. Eventually, being supposedly the last guy in the totem pole who's not been to a final, and having not been into an elimination up until now, plus knowing that no one should receive a free pass to the final (unless of course he wins the last mission to earn that automatic finals berth), he perhaps may be voted into the last battle to earn his stripes. But for right now, I gotta give it up to JR for making this deep run.
- Other notables: Bananas for finally getting his puzzle jinx extinguished by winning this week, Devyn for her commentary in the Super Fan special & episode, and Cara Maria for staying brave during a very tough episode for her.

Now to our Fan of the Week - which we haven't done in a little bit, and it's two people this week.
- First, someone who I followed just this past week who now everyone knows on here. After this week's episode, the Challenge Mania Super Fan special aired, and interspersed throughout the half hour of memorable moments from the show were questions asked by fans to this season's Free Agents cast. One of them was from Luis Enrique (@ItsLLuna) from Austin, TX. He, like me, is a blogger who also blogs on The Challenge and his wrap-up of earlier episodes from this season was actually featured on the @ChallengeMTV twitter account. And he's also a huge soccer fan and basketball fan who also interned at the local Univision station in town, too. - Second, we featured above a conversation I had with a fella up in New England who even though he might be much older than me is into a franchise that's on a channel catered primarily to teens & young adults (and those who are young at heart of course). Kevin Tocci (@KevinTocci) is a radio & TV host based in the South Shore area of Massachusetts down the way from Boston who, in addition to talking to people from all walks of life including local politicians and beyond, has actually talked to a couple people from the RWC franchise on his Monday Night Talk radio show at WATD-FM in the area, first to Sarah during Rivals II and then with Jenny during RW Ex-Plosion. And as we talked about previously, the New England area is well represented this season and four of them, three natives in CT, Cara Maria and Johnny, are still in the running, and a fourth transplanted in from Detroit, Zach (and at least one of the three guys will be in the final regardless of what happens down the homestretch).

To wrap this post up, to something not related to The Challenge or Real World, but a show that I fell in love with over the winter. A few nights ago before bed, when I actually searched for additional YouTube videos on cast members from the first season of Are You The One?, I found two videos that caught my attention on there.
- First, I do have to admit, I don't that much other reality TV on channels outside MTV, but after finding out about this first one I might want to check it out someplace. I found out that Scali wasn't the only AYTO castmate to try their luck at dating on The Choice a couple years ago, and Brittany also appeared on the show in the week that they had Rob Gronkowski as one of the bachelors. As some of you might also know, Nia was also on that show just before she moved into the Portland house.
- And second, I also happened to scroll upon a casting video that Ryan did that was actually for Real World 29. But Ryan was rejected for what would be RW Ex-Plosion and then he decided to give Are You The One? a try, and the rest is history. He won money before any of this past season's RW cast could even do a Challenge, and had he been picked to go to San Francisco than he would have to live with his ex that we saw in episode 4 in Hawaii. Sometimes you get lucky.

The second season of Are You The One? is now filming over in Puerto Rico with Ryan Devlin again serving as host. I've already transferred some twitter accounts that I don't usually check over to my secondary account to make room for the 20 new cast members that will be on that new season, as well as some other music accounts, fans and new castmates for the next Real World season and other shows I may become interested in. Of course, can't wait to talk to them once they return to social media from filming and look forward to establishing a rapport with them so when the trailer debuts, I'll be ready to go, just as I did for RW Portland and Ex-Plosion before them.
