Last week saw yet another roommate pack their bags and head home as Tyara found out that she had a positive reading on her pregnancy test and flew home to deal with it personally. Anna and Katrina's volatile relationship and growing tension saw their mom fly out to try and remedy the situation. And her coming in came at a most intense time when Peter went off on Jenn for hanging out with the sisters, just after he found out about the sisters' suspicious web search on his abusive behavior.
This week, it's the roommates' final week in the Pacific Northwest as they live it up, party it up and are hopeful of ending their stay in the Crescent City on a positive note. For some, they do exactly that -- Anika & Will for example, but it's not the case for others. After what happened to them last week, Anna and Katrina decide to stand up to Peter for his controlling and angry behavior towards Jenn. And after yet another big blowup and the show's fifth straight fight in a season finale, it leaves her with a big decision on her plate that may make or break their relationship.

A BANANAS SIGHTING
On Thanksgiving, DCBLOG brought you the touching and inspirational story of Challenge GOAT Johnny Bananas and the bond he has with his biggest fan, cancer survivor Kasey Harvey. Thanks to the exposure he gave me in tweeting that link and complementing me in saying "Thank you for this" (and thank you very much if you happen to be checking out this site), I was able to bring that poignant article to all of you out there. I can look at that post as my favorite of the 140 posts I got to do in 2016, and take pride in bringing these great stories on this site, a keystone of this site's Trifecta coverage.
I've often cited another post as a reason for me for getting into blogging and ultimately devoting most of my posts to the Trifecta -- and that would be a Forum post I did on the Real World Portland reunion in summer 2013, one of my first MTV-related posts here. If you're in the know of this reality TV world, you sometimes hear about how unique attending a reunion for any one show is, and I did one for each of the three shows early in my time blogging. The broad exposure of those posts and acclaim I received got me to earn my stripes among those who cover this passion on a regular basis.

In the photo caption to the picture we feature to your right, Kaitlyn wrote, "When you hang out with @realjohnnybananas for the night." Last month while in the New York City area attending to business and hanging out with Kenny, Evan and fellow Challenge friends there as well, Johnny hosted one of those parties for school students to celebrate the holidays. Kaitlyn got to attend that event at a club in her home state of Connecticut, which added him to the list of those she's gotten to meet over over the years. Aside from the Portland cast, she's mingled with pop star Aaron Carter, comedians from Guy Code and others too.
