As your weekend is now winding down, it's time for us here at DCBLOG to bring you the main event of this packed week in the MTV Trifecta. It was back on December 8th of last year that the ride began for the 22 newest members of Team MTV (in reality, it began for them in filming last fall), and now just on this, the last full day of winter, we head into spring with the 'Pulse of the Finale of Season 5 of Are You The One?.
   Last week in the Dominican Republic, the house finally got a chance to relax and party up after gaining much needed momentum in getting out of the four-beam zone, but a fight between Derrick and Michael saw the end to the ladder's relationship with Kathryn. In trying to follow in what happened with Carolina & Hayden, the group began to focus more on the game and looked to a house strategy to bring together new couples, even if it took for them to accept the trade-in offer and seeing Shannon follow their heart. In a way, they succeeded: nine beams at the week's matchup.
   This week, it's week 10 and the last chance this house who has been desperate all season long have at love and to win money or to face the harshness of being the first cast ever to lose it all. For one couple who connected early on, Kathryn and Ozzy find sparks yet again, while the man who has dominated challenges all season long, Joey is tasked with being the one who could have the game in his hands. For Hannah, the house tries to open their eyes to the reality of her relationship. And of course, it all comes down to one last matchup ceremony for a chance at the cash.
   Coming up, all the action, reaction and interaction of this final AYTO Wednesday, the Finale itself, the Reunion and all the day-after aftermath. And stick around after the diary, as ExtraTime will bring you the emotional homecoming of a member of the Second Chances cast as he flies halfway around the world to surprise his biggest and most important fan... you'll want to have those tissues ready.

Well, just unbelievable. What can you say? Not much after all of that... More on this shocking last chapter on the WRAP coming up on Tuesday.  Now, to something a bit more uplifting.

MOM & SON REUNITED

Family... it's something we all have and something we should all value. And something we have heard many times is to take advantage of whatever time we have with them because we never know what could happen next. Well, as AYTO Second Chances now awaits us in just a few days from now, we have a brief slice of life on one of those who we'll be seeing in Australia come this Wednesday which will sure touch your heart.
   In the space of a few years, native Israeli Asaf Goren has taken his talents from Tel Aviv all the way to Los Angeles and onto the stage of the FOX summer series So You Think You Can Dance?, which he did on Season 12 back in 2015. Last summer, he crossed over to the MTV world as one of those twenty looking for love and money on Are You The One? Season 4 and fell in love with fellow musician Francesca. And as we showed you here last fall, he walked up and down the runway at New York Fashion Week with his fellow AYTO castmates.
   And now, he and perfect match Kaylen are headed to Melbourne, Australia for Second Chances which debuts on Wednesday. But even with a career with multiple talents that not only includes break dancing and reality TV but also music, appearing in videos for Britney Spears and Maroon 5, modeling and even painting on the side, there is one thing that towers above all else. Asaf has a close bond with his family, including his sisters Noam and Omer.
   But the most important person in his life is the one who gave birth to him more than two decades ago. In an interview with New York magazine Get Out, he discussed his biggest fan: "My Mother is super proud of all my accomplishments that I've accomplished, which motivates me to keep going. I want to make a better life for her and my family back in Israel."
   In many of his tweets and his posts on his social media platforms, Asaf has expressed his love for his mom, Rachel Goren, a dance teacher who saw him master his choreography in their living room when he was a 12 year-old. And for proof of how loyal he is to the most important fan, friend and person in his life, just recently he decided to surprise her by going the long way and taking a 16-hour flight from the West Coast of the U.S. back home to the Middle East to surprise her at the dance studio of an elementary school where she works. And the moment she saw his son with balloons and flowers in his hands, she burst into tears. The video of that emotional homecoming is embedded below.

That is the final 'Pulse of Are You The One? Season 5, but needless to say we have a lot to bring you on the WRAP as it'll be AYTO centric.    In the meantime, DCNOW at @DC408DxNow had planned to do live tweeting of some of the action from the first & second rounds of NCAA March Madness. But due of this weekend's extensive blog slate, later tonight DCNOW will recap the first week of the tournament, which after two stunning upsets - Wisconsin over defending champions & overall #1 seed Villanova, and today in Rick Pitino's Louisville being ousted by Michigan - has now made it anyone's game. We'll have all of that coming up later tonight.
