Last week, seven people remained on the island after the double-elimination of Michael and Ashley, and tensions began to to rise. As stormy weather arrived onshore, Makani decided to go against her former friends, while the rest of the group began to struggle against the elements. Another temptation awaited Alonzo when he found a nice bed & bathroom setup in addition to food, but refused to give in, but the rest of the group began to again binge-buy. But it became too much for Chris, and at episode's end yet another flare gun goes off in him heading home.
This week, six people remain on the island, and the gulf between a now two-person alliance and a strong Core Four person alliance only increases. With Alonzo struggling to keep himself afloat and threatening to make this a 5-person island, Alex does whatever he cant to keep his fragile alliance together. An item worth $30,000 becomes the key item of interest in the battle for power of the game, and the man who "thrives" on this game finds someone new who's joined his side.

Well, with our focus on offering a full review of the AYTO Season 5 finale and our just-posted preview of Second Chances last night, we'll be skipping our Things to Know wrap for this week here. But to review episode 4 in Cliff Notes form, the plot thickens for the whole game, as both Team Alex and Team Cody exchange buying things. We got to Alex's alliance deciding to buy food and supplies for everyone but Cody & Makani, and Team MaCody firing back by getting food of their own at their temptation station. Given we've lost four of the original ten contestants from when this game began, we also get the first reward challenge of the season where everyone gets paired up, and in the end it's Team MaCody who take the win in filling their bucket of water to the top and earning sleeping gear and soap. And, we almost had another one quit in Alonzo, which luckily he did not this week, and next week will begin like this week with six still stranded. Speaking of 'Zoe...

INTRODUCING ZOE WHITE
We've showcased here before the musical talents of Francesca of AYTO Season 4 and Second Chances, Challenge veteran Camila and a few others along the line. And thanks to having to scour the likes of YouTube and SoundCloud, among other sites, we've found one from this Stranded cast who has a musical side to him as well.
Alonzo previously served in the armed forces, who we nearly saw become the fifth person to give it all up in Fiji. He also calls Buffalo, NY his home, which is also home to Joey from Are You The One? Season 5, and Challenge veteran and Real World Back to Las Vegas fan favorite Nany. And as we saw in his casting video and in his confessionals, he is playing this game for his mom and is determined to make it to the end and use his prize money to help her out.
But something that wasn't even mentioned in that bio MTV gave of him is that he is also a hip-hop artist who went by the names Zolo and Lucky Roses, until just before this season began when he changed his nickname of Zoe White. Whatever the name, Alonzo has devoted much of his energies to his music, and the deep devotion he has to his mom is similar to a member of the cast of the 2013 MTV show Washington Heights, where the leader of that uptown New York City clique, JP/"Audubon", had a similar tight-knit bond with his mom and is a hip-hop artist as well.
Alonzo is active on YouTube where he posts all of his music which you can check out on his YT Channel, which also includes his latest music video for the joint, "Forever," which we have embedded below. His most-viewed video by far, however, is actually an audition tape he sent in to BET's 106th and Park when they were searching for a new host of the now-defunct daily hip-hop countdown show which gave the world AYTO Aftermatch host Terrence J. And 'Zoe has also a SoundCloud channel with all of his music posted there as well too. Perhaps, he is one of those artists on the rise and may become one of the next big things in hip-hop...stay tuned.

That's our look at Stranded, but the weekend is already warming up around here.
