Due to our extensive slate of posts this weekend which began back on Thursday when we had to catch up on the two episodes that took place before last week's, we'll recap not only this week's Challenge but also the past several episodes before that and this coming week's show on here next week. But coming up, a recap of the eventful and fun premiere of Winter Break: Hunter Mountain, plus we'll share a couple photos with you with a few special guests... find out who just ahead.
THINGS TO KNOW
WINTER BREAK: THE PREMIERE
❄️WELCOME TO HUNTER: The first thing to always keep an eye out for in the first episode of any new MTV reality show is of what first impressions the cast might have for each other once they move into their new house. The most impressive entrance belongs to TJ, off of a tour of duty in the Army and anxious to finally make up for lost time here (he even tears up in one of his confessionals and opens up on the porch about his experiences), and his mom drives him to the cabin to drop him off. And like we saw with Candace's parents on the Floribama finale she steals the show by dabbing and getting a hug from the rest of the roomies. Similar to Gus and Jeremiah in PCB, TJ bonds with fellow snowboarder J.Brew at the bar as a bromance is instantly formed. There's the many pieces of luggage Alessandra has brought to the cabin thinking there's more to do than just being in the snow, and Jillian's hair extensions fall victim to what would happen in item #2...
❄️HOT TUBS & STRIPPING: The first night an MTV cast has in their new digs is also a rite of passage that they're in for an unforgettable experience... no surprise here with the Winter Break group, with some beer pong included as well as a new trick of having some ski-shots. Of course, no opening night would be complete without them christening the hot tub, which they do in the bitter cold including a jump into a hill of snow. Fittingly, J-Brew pops open the bubbly to officially get this winter party started, and his bromance with TJ is sealed with them riding a bike in the snow.
Things get a bit messy when J-Brew gets into it with Carissa (who came in wearing furry boots) when she defends Alessandra after she complains that he's being mean to her, and we see our first bit of drunken drama to take over the cabin - though we do see TJ tell him to just chill as it's just the first night. The group then engages in a game of counting and drinking, and stripping down their clothes one by one as if they're playing strip poker, which is more intimate in this 8-person house than what the 22-person AYTO house does each season when a game of Truth or Dare lets them move the needles a bit.
❄️COPS ARE HERE & PASTA: Then, reality sets in when some surprise visitors comes into their driveway: while en route to the house, Alessandra admitted to having an uneasy relationship with her mom. And as they continue to strip down their clothes, two New York State Troopers come up to their front door not to tell them to tone down the noise due to neighbor complaints, but for her to call her mom to just check in via phone and say that she's alright and that nothing's wrong yet. It seems to be the weirdest police visit I've seen, especially with her having just a romper on and no pants.
When most everyone goes to sleep, two of the roomies decide to just be like me doing this blog work and stay up and burn the midnight oil. A guy who had just a fur coat on in strip counting, Sheen, begins to flirt with Carissa, but then while having a drink in his hand he then begins to have to start to stumble after taking a shot. He then pours water in his mouth to try and not get even more drunk, and then Carissa and Alessandra begin to feed him pasta, for which Alessandra says, "I'm like, God, feeding Sheen is like feeding a baby, a big, tattooed, hairy baby," and they put him to bed.
❄️IN 'DA SNOW, & IN 'DA CLUB: Despite the lifts being closed when a few feet of fresh powder drops on their first day, the group nonetheless takes advantage of their first day not getting snowed in but having fun in their new neighborhood. The next day, they finally get the chance to explore this great mountain as they finally snowboard and ski, but unfortunately things might change a bit after a wipeout on their first visit to the slopes.
In between though, the house dresses up to go on their first night out, where sparks fly between two who, earlier on, got to play some ping pong. While Sheen dances with and kisses a local girl in the club, Cali girl Taylar and med student Marc begin to get close to one another just as they did the previous night, especially with her coming here single after breaking up with her ex. The two were attracted to each other the moment they met, and it's no surprise that they are the first two roommates here to lock lips, though Alessandra believes it's not a good idea to hook up right at the outset. When they get home, Marc decides to just save the hook-up in the bed for later on.

WHO'S ON TEAM NELLY T.?
Last year before he competed in the Invasion final and stretching CT to winning by a small margin, we uncovered something you might not have known about Nelson: his first time on national TV was not on Are You The One? Season 3 with Devin, Britni and friends, but the show Baggage on Game Show Network hosted by that politician turned king of daytime, Jerry Springer. And as he finds himself in the drama tomorrow night, two more famous folks have joined Team Nelly T.This coming weekend, hundreds of thousands from around the world will descend upon his Austin, TX digs for the week-long festival of music and all things pop culture: South by Southwest. And the live music capital of the world has been warming up for the throngs to pour into town in droves with a few warmup concerts, including by those Nelly got to see up close.

Steve was born in Miami, grew up in Newport Beach, CA, and was on his high school's badminton team, but for someone whose dad founded the Benihana restaurant chain Steve knew in college that his heart would be in music. He founded his own label at 19 and did some work for underground acts when dance music was then a niche genre. But it was remixing acts as diverse as the Jackson 5, Eminem, All-American Rejects and Linkin Park that would make him mainstream, and his live shows best represent how fun and energetic he is in having cakes, champagne bottles and rafts that eventually put him at the top of the highest grossing dance artists in the U.S. And if you saw him on Rory Kramer's Dare to Live series last year, then you know how awesome Steve really is.
Nelson was backstage when the two artists were in Austin last week -- Desiigner being the opening act to the main event of Steve, and Nelson captioned on Instagram above, "Shout out to @steveaoki, you killed it @stubbsaustin last nite 🎂🎂🎂🎂 I appreciate the love fam @mikeheesoo_handsome 🔌🔌🔌"
RONNIE, KAILAH AND A BABY SHOWER(!)
On April 5th, Jersey Shore Family Vacation will debut on the fittingly titled Jerzday -- the day of Thursday where each of the six seasons of their show aired. So highly anticipated is the return of Snooki, The Situation and friends that two things of great importance will take place: the show will take a cue of what HBO has done with Game of Thrones and premiere the JS gang's seventh season day and date across the entire MTV international network -- 180 countries and 30 channels in all, the first time a series has been given this treatment. And second -- and being very bullish on their investment, last week MTV announced that there will be a second JS Family Vacation to take place just after the first one which has been filming the past month down in Miami. And if that viral teaser of Angelina dropping by the house for a visit is something -- then we are in for something memorable.
On Christmas Day last year, the news broke that Ronnie was going to become the Jersey Shore group's first dad, after Snooki, J-Woww and Deena became moms. And over the weekend, Ronnie gathered some friends in Vegas for his baby shower, including a guy who he's known for this entire MTV run and is an alum of a long-forgotten show himself (in this case, From G's to Gents) and for which his girl is still in the running for the $500K on Vendettas. Kailah and her man, Mikey P., were invited to the party on the outskirts of Las Vegas, and Mikey captioned on Twitter, "Mannnn I’ve known you for almost 10 years now @RealRonnieMagro and i can honestly say that i never thought I’d be going to your baby shower! Last night was awesome, @kailah_casillas and i had fun! Congrats my brotha! 🎉 🍾 #grownups #family"
