We've turned the page into the new month of March, and after letting this blogger take a two weeks' leave to binge-watch the biggest winter festival of them all, we at DCBLOG are back to bring you Inside the MTV Trifecta. And we're starting this week's posts a day earlier than usual to cover not one, but THREE episodes of The Challenge Vendettas over these next few days, starting here & now with Episode 7 from two weeks ago before I joined with millions of other Americans in catching a case of Olympic Fever.
   When we left Spain at the end of the first week of February, the challengers tackled some fright in the shark-infested waters as they swam in a nighttime mission as Tony once again stepped things up in the sea to earn a Troika spot alongside Bananas and Kyle. They then voted in Victor, Shane and Devin into the elimination cut, which also put the former two's budding bromance aside for the sake of this game. But all eyes were on of "Who Wrote The Note?"
   That was the question on everyone's mind and on Episode 7 two weeks ago, that question finally gets answered as the perpetrator is revealed... don't be surprised if THAT is who you think it is. The Troika decides who to put into the guys' elimination against a man who hasn't been in one since all of this season's cast were 10 years younger. And if you thought we've seen everything in the first seven episodes, you ain't seen anything yet as two mega-twists rock the house.

All the action, reaction and interaction of Episode 7 is ahead in the first of a Backtracked Pulse Doubleheader, along with another Twitter beef, Valentine's Day and the MTV community's reaction to the Parkland tragedy. And with the Olympic flame extinguished we'll finally have the opportunity to bring you this diary later than planned, but as they say "better late than never." We'll have a look ahead at what else is coming up after the diary, along with a follow-up to one of our previous stories.
   The Note Writer Revealed, An Elimination and Two Twists... all of that is ahead on the 'Pulse of The Challenge as we begin a busy extended weekend on DCBLOG.

So, we saw Brad turn back the clock in turning back an uneventful rookie in Victor in his first elimination since The Duel II, while a new vendetta of his Sylvia was sent home because of her continuing illness following her impressive elimination win over Melissa. And after a fairly quick challenge that saw CT and Aneesa appear just briefly as puzzle pieces before they were part of a CT special that aired after, the two biggest bombshells yet then dropped on the cast: a double elimination that saw a guy and a girl get eliminated in the same week, and the Mercenaries arriving with recent ExtraTime subjects Jordan and Tori, Dirty 30 runner-up Derrick and the aforementioned Aneesa surprising everyone. And that is just the start... there's more to come.

CAUCUS CHALLENGE: HELP IS NEEDED

One of our most popular posts from our ExtraTime series was our story last fall on The Caucus Challenge, put on by Challenge superfan and aspiring filmmaker Andres Rodriguez. There, we looked at when he translated his love of The Challenge and Big Brother into a web series when he and his high school friends got together to compete in the same competitions that we see on those shows, and it garnered much interest in his inner circle.
   Shortly, he & his friends will be filming Season 8 of this one-of-a-kind series back home in Seacucus, New Jersey, something we are looking forward to watching too. But even for web series like his, it still requires a ton of equipment, both production and competition wise, to make elaborate projects like his possible, and it can only be made possible through the generosity of everyone. And Andres is asking the public -- friends, family, the web community and even Team MTV -- to pitch in our help to provide the funds they need to film that season and future seasons to come.
   His Caucus Challenge website, thecaucuschallenge.weebly.com, has launched a donation page where you can make a donation of any amount that will make possible the best season yet of his series, and of course they are much appreciated.
