The house was still shook by what happened with Fessy & Nelson when, last week, for reasons that would be break our hearts, one competitor was sent home... but in return, TJ Lavin activated a security breach that saw Ashley M. take Natalie's place and be paired with her partner on her first Challenge, Cory. A tense daily challenge saw the teams confront their fear of heights above ground, which saw Big T and CT take power team status in the house, and eventually saw the hosts of the MTV Challenge Podcasts, Tori and Aneesa, face each other in elimination with the veteran taking the win.
As the game calms down a bit from the madness of the past two episodes, this week the focus turns to the challenger who took five years off to start a family with a pro footballer as she finds herself in the middle of a test of loyalty as the only other female challenger to have started her career when vets like her were in their prime. The Agents will find themselves in the first real test to see who can handle the rigors of endurance that's essential to becoming a champ when Smuggle Run exposes cracks in strong teams... and the ensuring elimination will also open up some bad blood.

Tonight's UFC card brought out the fight card in all of us, and we're all likely still jaw-dropped by the result of the main event we've just witnessed -- and there may be a post on one of those coming ahead)/ And one of those interested viewers just happens to be Challenge Mania co-host Derrick Kosinski, who's offered us the definitive podcast in Challenge Nation during this current generation of the fifth major pro sport.
And this week, he had something more to celebrate: on Challenge Wednesday this week, he went into the snow, went down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend with a ring in hand... and she got to say yes. The caption to the Instagram picture below reads, "Ready for the next chapter...I love you." Before we leave you here: things are now getting busy as far as spring activities are concerned in MTV Reality, as two sets of originals are gathering at this point for some special projects coming up as the channel celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. That would be the group of veterans chosen for a special veterans-only spinoff season of The Challenge, and the first of special reunions of past seasons of The Real World. Once we have an idea of who has been picked for the OG's only special attraction as well as details on the ladder as well, we'll be able to share them with you on here in the next edition of The Look Ahead... and we also have more to the postscripts to two of our departed challengers.
