But this did not deter much from the annual tradition of all of us getting to celebrate our moms... and in the case of yours truly, me, my mom & our family spent the weekend at our sister's out of town, herself a mommy to two kids. But of course, it's likely you scrolled through your social media feed last Sunday to find endless pictures of your family, friends and those celebrities & athletes you worship sharing their moments with their moms... and Team MTV isn't alone in this category.
Mother's Day 2020 marked the first ones for those like Taylor, Amanda and Faith, as well as a Sunday of celebration for other fellow moms too many to mention who've been on The Challenge, The Real World, Are You The One, Ex On The Beach and elsewhere. And of course, we can't forget about the stars of the Teen Mom universe in the dozens who are part of that franchise, for which Taylor is now part of in the universe surrounding Cheyenne and Cory in the OG iteration.
In short order, these ladies will welcome new members to their sorority when Melissa Reeves of The Challenge & EOTB UK and Alex's Siesta Key girlfriend Alyssa welcome their new kids. And on Mother's Day last Sunday, one other Challenger had the chance to hold something a special version of something's that now a tradition on the road to motherhood... and three others from the love side of MTV Reality chose this day to announce their entry into this big challenge that awaits them.

A few months ago - February 4th to be exact, Camila gave People Magazine a big scoop when she announced that she was several months pregnant with her first child. It was something that came almost right out of the blue for someone who we remember that famous tirade on Exes 1, and becoming a mom was something that she didn't even have in her plans after what happened three years ago after winning Dirty 30.
A modern-day tradition for any expecting parent is the gender reveal, where they find out with family and friends if it's a boy or a girl. But with social distancing regulations and at-home orders in place in most of the country right now, gatherings like this will not happen for a while. But that didn't stop Camila from hosting her own gender reveal party, as she hosted a virtual one on Instagram for her 260,000 followers there, with help from her bloodline sister Lari.
The primitive technology unfortunately gave out right before the big moment, depriving us of finding out at the same time as her of who she will have... but Camila found out that she will have a baby boy coming her way. She wrote in the Instagram picture below, "No words 💙... Thank you ALL for coming. 🙌💫 I apologize for the trouble with the connection, I tried my best. Nonetheless this was a very special day and I am so thankful I got to share it with every single one of you. 🎈🎈 #itsaboy". And Tori Deal commented, "So beautiful!!! So happy for you and you’re new baby boy!!!!💗💗💗," while Ashley Kelsey added, "Yay!!! So happy for you and excited!!! 💙💙💙💙."

January 9th was the day that rocked the world of some of the most awesome people we have met in recent years on MTV. That Thursday morning, Are You The One? Season 6's Alexis Eddy was found dead in West Virginia, the first time that those from MTV's first entry into the current reality dating craze had to come to grips with the death of one of their fellow alumni. But for every tragedy, there is sometimes a silver lining, and Mother's Day saw two of those from Alexis' AYTO season and another alum of the series announce their entry into parenthood in what's been an emotional year.
Three years ago saw both the most infamous moment and the single biggest comeback on back-to-back seasons of AYTO, as the series added an additional guy & girl to the mix, making 11 the new magic number. Spring 2017 saw the heart-wrenching moment of Season 5 leaving the Caribbean dejected & without the cash after their last matchup when they didn't go 11/11. That winter, Season 6 found themselves almost down & out, but a last desperate gamble saw them make up ten lights in the last try, leaving New Orleans $1 million richer.

Them coming to Malibu to deal with their problems seems to have been exactly what Shannon & Anthony needed, as they got back together after leaving the house and are still together now. And there's a coincidence: Mother's Day in 2020 fell on May 10th, which also happens to be Shannon's 25th birthday. And she used this day to announce the biggest birthday gift she has ever received, as detailed on Twitter and the following Instagram messages below...

Four years ago after being on Rivals III, Cheyenne used her 24th birthday to announce her pregnancy to baby Ryder with no idea that she would help bring Challenge Nation and AYTO into the Teen Mom family. And on her Mother's Day birthday, it was Shannon who celebrated the big day with her & Anthony now expecting their first baby come this autumn... and she now joins not only Taylor but also Gianna Hammer as fellow moms in the Season 5 cast (as well as Hayden Weaver, who shares custody of son August Luck with his fellow Midwesterner). But that's not all... there's more to this.

His attraction to both girls led to a fight among them involving bananas in Louisiana, and him being attracted to reality star Maya Benberry in Malibu led the girls to team up against the Drummer, eventually leading to Maya kicking him out around the time of the SRTV New Year's bash. And in the end, he found himself in love with, of all things, an adult entertainer based out of Houston... and on Mother's Day, Malcolm & porn star Barbie (@Everyonelovesbarbie) officially announced their entry into parenthood via Instagram.
Malcolm captioned on Instagram, "You never gave up on me when I gave up on myself. You never judged me for my past or my mistakes. You’ve always accepted me for who I am. I’ve never met someone as loyal and committed as you are.You’ve been by my side through it all. You’ve been kind and patient with me and understand me like no other.
