Welcome back to DCBLOG and to our coverage of Are You The One? Season 2 with the Episode 8 edition of DC SocialPulse. We are in the midst of the shortest work week for most Americans this year, and we're on the edge of the holiday season. For those people who are fortunate to have just Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to worry about, a four-day weekend is approaching with the Thanksgiving holiday, Black Friday and the first weekend of the holiday season. It also means

Last week in the wake of their 2nd matchup blackout, the group found plenty of reasons to celebrate a new start: they partied on a party bus and then on the beach. They notched their 3rd perfect match when John and Jenni made it out of the truth booth as a match, which turned into major progress in garnering a season-high 6 perfect matches. Plus, we saw Ashley get involved in a love triangle, while Garland found himself in deep trouble in sleeping with another girl.
   This week, a touch of Nickelodeon arrives in Puerto Rico as the latest getaway challenge forces the players to get a bit gooey. The latest love triangle battle gets heated as Dario and Layton go after Ashley. Ellie makes a play for Nathan, but Prime Time feels he is the one for Christina, as she feels the pressure of being the 11th girl. And will Team 21 build on last week's momentum?

Along with covering this week's episode, this expanded edition of DCSP will also be bringing you the buzz surrounding Team 21 gathering in Los Angeles for the taping of their Reunion show, which promises to have some fireworks, just as it was for the Season 1 cast's first reunion. So this week, we saw Dario and Layton turn their attention to Ashley, Ellie takes a chance of Nate, Christina feel the weight of being the 11th girl in the house and a very fun challenge. And if you're Tyler, be lucky you didn't get very messy. And though it's only two steps back, it feels like more as the group didn't get their fourth perfect match when Nate & Christina were sent in, instead of two strong couples in Briana & Brandon and Jess & Anthony, and lost one beam in the matchup.
   As I tweeted, and also taking both sports analogy and my Olympic regimen, it will take the kind of epic comeback and miraculous final burst that we saw when Jason Lezak ran down the French relay team at the Beijing Olympics (and saving Michael Phelps) to pull off the greatest comeback ever.

#DCNOW BIG GAME LIVE: SEAHAWKS VS. 49ERS

Speaking of sports, in a matter of hours we shift our focus to another big milestone and perhaps the biggest event I have been to in a very long time. The recent #DCBDAY I had on November 13th was the 10th straight year that I got to enjoy my birthday with the social media world, and I got a great outpouring of well-wishes from not just family and friends and followers, but also many members of Team MTV. And in July of 2013, I got to enjoy having the first vacation that I was able to experience and share with on social media when I got to travel to Las Vegas.

   Tomorrow night, for the first time I will be experiencing a sports event live in person through social media and having a mobile internet device from the site where it's all happening instead of watching it at home. And what better way to usher in the first live sports event on DCNOW than with a rivalry that's now considered by many the best in the NFL, and it all takes place on Thanksgiving Night, no less, right here in my backyard.

   Twenty-one years ago on Halloween Eve 1993, the first sports event I ever attended in person was an NBA preseason game between the Golden State Warriors and the team that was then known as the Seattle SuperSonics. Now, the first live sports event that I will experience through the realm of social media will again match teams from the Bay Area and the Pacific Northwest. But this time, it's more than just a game, it's an event that pits two great teams and two passionate fan bases.

   Tomorrow, the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers will square off for the first time since meeting in last season's NFC Championship Game, which was also their first postseason matchup. There at CenturyLink Field, it was his tip in the end zone that led to a clinching interception that ultimately sent the 12th Man to a Super Bowl title, and an ensuing postgame interview that introduced America to Richard Sherman. That was the latest chapter in a rivalry whose origins began three years ago when old rival coaches - Pete Carroll and Jim Harbaugh - renewed their PAC-12 rivalry in the NFL.

   Led respectively by young and mobile quarterbacks in Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick, they've guided their teams to not just the top of the NFC West, but to the NFL's pantheon. The Seahawks and Niners have traded NFC West titles since 2010, have been part of the last three NFC Championship Games and both have represented the NFC in the Super Bowl the past two seasons.

   It's because of me being a Niners fan that saw me have the busiest and biggest twitter day I've ever had: Super Bowl XLVII a year ago. Now, I'm ready to take the next step in bringing this fierce rivalry to all of my social media platforms. DCNOW and my Instagram hub @DC408Dxtr will be on-site to bring you the live tweets and visuals, starting with the tailgate atmosphere, continuing throughout the game and right into the post-game reaction.
