DC ExtraTime: Welcome to Nicky Showtime

As we go deep into this season of Real World, the Go Big or Go Home cast has a new roommate who has arrived in Sin City. And to be totally honest with you, this blogger thought that someone would not survive that 24-hour ordeal in the Vegas desert, someone would be sent home and a replacement would be thrown in. But the cast treated this thing in essence as a mere camping trip and a simple excursion, and instead we return to the scenario we had for season's 21-24 and Ex-Plosion of a house with 8 or more people living at the same time.
But after everything that's transpired in the time we've had in Las Vegas since St. Patrick's Day, it's pretty much time to spice things up and bring a much-needed dose of fun to this drama-filled group. In walks to the Nevada desert a UNC student in Dylan, all the way from Charlotte by way of New England, and has already made an impact in creating a love triangle in the house with two of the female roommates. In his debut last week, just as Alec did last fall, he went out of the gate with bringing that kiss count up more than we can count. And with last week's mission it didn't take long for him to do what he does best in the club. But that's not all this party animal has in store for us. In fact, he is about to bring a bit of comic relief to this cast.

Dylan has something in common with a member of last year's Are You The One? cast, Zak...Both guys have a passion for making us laugh in the land of web videos, both on YouTube and Instagram. After that Hail Mary win last fall, and as we told you in an ExtraTime bit some time ago, the Italian-Canadian has garnered a large following for his hilarious videos, often featuring his own perfect match Hannah and, now, Season 4 newbie Sam.
For the newbie nicknamed Nicky Showtime, Dylan has been entertaining the students and people on the Tar Heel campus in Chapel Hill, and now out west, with his own brand of humor and knack for making us laugh in pulling pranks and the like. And as you prepare for tonight's explosive episode, we'll be sharing you his web videos, as well as his own Real World audition tape that got him the 8th bed, on this dedicated edition of DC ExtraTime.

If you watched the Meet the Roommates After Show on premiere night back in mid-March, some of you might've gone off on MTV for giving us that scoop of who is awaiting that chance to move into the house later on when they're supposed to be a total secret; obviously it's not the first time this has happened - just ask Nia and the Ex-Plosion exes. But considering how Dylan has made a name for himself in web land and how I've been watching some of his videos before moving into the Gold Spike, personally I've been looking forward to his arrival and seein what kind of crazy he can bring to the table.
For his bio, MTV describes him as: "This fearless party animal loves causing a good ruckus. Boasting that he's incapable of being embarrassed, Dylan relishes in setting up elaborately staged awkward pranks that deliver a good laugh... and a good YouTube video! To get his surge of much needed attention, Dylan moonlighted as a stripper for bachelorette parties under the nickname Nicky Showtime. Ever the scene-stealer, he got his start in a very "Magic Mike" scenario, after being introduced to the right gig by his roommate. Dylan is sure to bring drama, shock and sexual fever to the Real World house. This adrenaline junkie vows to pull even bigger pranks in the RW house!"

First, there's this video that was featured in his intro last week, where at a biology lecture class some two years ago, Dylan decides to strip it all off. This video has garnered over 100,000 YouTube views and got his teacher laughing but came at a price: he was kicked off the track & field team and his honor court, and was forced to do community service.

Next, here's his shot to look for love outside the campus . This has garnered over 90,000 hits but also nearly 350 dislikes.

Then, his love quest continues by mistaking some girls as his Tinder dates.

From getting slapped on the street cto going around town to look for a girl, now to making noise in one of those places where silence is golden. In one of the UNC libraries, Showtime decides to have a snack and after spilling some chips on the carpet he goes and gets a vacuum.

And then at another library on campus, Dylan makes some awkward requests...

The Tar Heels are best known to sports fans as a college basketball powerhouse, but maybe not as much as in football. But that didn't prevent Nicky from, just as the Dude Perfect guys got to do in Brazil for the World Cup two years ago, donning that zebra outfit, becoming a referee and throwing flags at people for social penalties.

And then, no series of prank videos would be complete without trying to get into a fight, when Showtime walked to students to insist they were talking about him on the web and wanted to get into it on campus.

And that is just the gist of the kind of funny videos has on his YouTube channel, which you can check out at this link. And oh, here's a couple other things for you... his Real World audition tapes: one the actual one, the other being his athletic tape for all of you Challenge scouts.

It appears that Dylan has come at the right time to finally bring some sunshine to the stormy skies that have been hovering over the Gold Spike. This house has been full of drama all throughout this season, aside from the missions they've gone on in Southern Nevada. And after making out with both Jenna and Kailah, and joining Dean at the strip club for his first mission, Nicky Showtime has gotten off to a very good start in Las Vegas.
