Welcome once again to DCBLOG's coverage of the MTV Trifecta as we bring you the 'Pulse of this week in the Bunim-Murray portion of the ecosystem. And as Memorial Day weekend looms in a week from now, we're headed towards the conclusion of a controversial and eventful Real World stay in Las Vegas which we'll delve into later. And on that long weekend, we'll have a preview of what's ahead in Hawaii for Are You The One? Season 4. But in the meantime, so much has already taken place south of the border on The Challenge: Rivals III, and it's only at the first quarter pole.
The consequence of a team being replaced by way of injury becomes the big story of this week as the house gets shaken up and stirred when a pair of replacement Rivals enter the house to replace Averey & Leroy. The teams have to work with their partner in the most intimate and awkward mission that they've ever faced. And after she produced the season's first hook-up, Ashley causes more drama on their first trip to the club, while another fellow fire-starter gets in more drama too.
We have all the action, reaction and interaction from this week in Mexico waiting for you following the jump. And as many of you youngsters are getting ready to go through that rite of summer of marking the end of one chapter and the start of another, on ExtraTime following the diary you'll join with a competitor from this Rivals III season, and a fellow alum, as they graduate college.

So, in Mexico things have gotten more interesting even though the timing of these episodes seems to be somewhat off though. We had Ashley go crazy once again, while Simone also got herself into some more drama as well. The replacements for Averey & Leroy arrived in Amanda & Nelson and they were thrust into an intimate and awkward challenge that, as it turned out, turned up for naught. And a getaway date saw more feelings among the teams emerge. We'll have more on, what Andrew Kirk tweeted to me afterwards, the "Weirdest episode of The Challenge ever," along with this week's Real World, on DC WRAP coming in a few days.

TEAM MTV'S GRADUATION 2016
The weather outside for many of you is now starting to reach the levels you're accustomed to in late spring and summer-like conditions. In fact, here where I call home in the Silicon Valley it reached 90 degrees back on Challenge Wednesday, and it's time for us here in California to bring out those short sleeves and tank tops of summer time and anticipate the influx of travelers arriving in our great state. It also means that for those of you who are in senior year in high school or in college who follow the Trifecta religiously, you are either about to go through, or have just got out of, the greatest day you will experience in your adolescence. Of course, that would be graduation, and that will mean that "Pomp and Circumstance" and a playlist of graduation-related songs will be on your playlist along with those Song of the Summer candidates.
Back in December during the last Challenge, we showed you Cory's sane & hilarious bloodline cousin Mitch and AYTO alums Kiki (Season 3 and Devin's ex) and Anthony (Season 2) become the most recent Team MTV'ers to go through this life-changing experience when they completed those necessary credits to earn their college degree and enter the true Real World. As the spring 2016 semester comes to a close: two more have just gone through that time honored tradition of walking on the stage to pick up their diploma and become the most well-known members of their senior class for the obvious reason of having appeared on MTV, and on the newcomer of the Trifecta.
And while Amanda & Nelson have carried on the mantle of the Season 3 cast vacated by Devin & Cheyenne upon their elimination, it's their castmate Chelsey who has just experienced her great moment. On her season, she was one of two Truth Booth-confirmed matches along with that 6'8" gentle giant Connor (who also celebrates a birthday today as this is being posted), and last week she graduated from the University of Central Florida. Congrats to the both of them, and of course we'll have Season 4 of AYTO covered right here, starting with the season preview next weekend.
