Last week in Hawaii, Asia found herself getting backstabbed when she found out what her close friend and her crush got to do behind her back, while recurring habits in romance got in the way of the budding romance of Cali and Brett. And while the group remained stuck at three beams through this year's first three matchups, they did receive some very good news: Maria & Shamoy were put into the Truth Booth, and tied Mikala & Cameron from Season 4 for having the shortest stint in the house, as they were a perfect match... for a moment, the Fate Button does work.
Earlier this year, our 50th state was the venue for the first U.S. incarnation of MTV's international franchise Ex On The Beach, and it offers the setting for this week's drama, with the annual visit from the exes of the singles. Not only that, AYTO is taking a cue from The Challenge of having an all-nighter as the house goes through an overnight relationship rehab. When you have the past invading the show, things always get intense for everyone... and this season is certainly no exception, with perhaps a changed dynamic by night's end.

So, for the first time in series history, we don't have either a Truth Booth or a Matchup in an AYTO episode. But just as we got to see a lot of on Ex On The Beach - for which next season's occupants are en route to the house right about now (and you may see some familiar faces when we and Romeo get together again in the new year), we have a good idea of where everyone has come from in their love lives after we saw the exes arrive into Relationship Rehab, or AYTO's own Couples Therapy. And after we saw there with those five exes who came by, we're glad that they got out of harm's way, especially what we saw with Kayla's ex... and from what we saw with Tevin now turning his attention to Jasmine, things are getting more steamy through this first month in paradise.
Tomorrow, the cycle begins again with what promises to be the most emotion-packed episode yet of Floribama Shore. But before that goes down, we'll be focusing on a person that this year's AYTO cast weren't around to watch when he made his MTV debut, but one who lays claim to the spot of the first of its kind.
