Last week, that sign came from out of the dark, when TJ Lavin brought on the season's first pair of Mercenaries, Ashley & Hunter, and not only did they win, they took over the spot of the losing pair in their elimination, Angela & Faith, in the main house. But things were ramped up a bit in both houses when Faith finds out that Kyle turned his attention to Ashley, and most especially when Shane decided to play dirty and rig a rugby-themed challenge for his team to lose, and it caused a lot of anger among his side.
At night's end, Amanda & Zach became this season's first three-time challenge winners by way of vote, and this week they get to sit back & relax, as well as cast a power vote, to what goes down this week. The whole house is up for the cut and a trip to Redemption as unlikely competitors form an alliance and the dreaded burn votes cause things to get out of hand in Armageddon. And it's in the elimination chamber that the season's toughest do or die battle takes place in the cold... and when you have a water tank involved, one thing is guaranteed: torture.

So, there's reason to be optimistic for Da'Vonne & Jozea after they lose for a second time in elimination to Killa Kam & Kayleigh as the Queen ups her elimination mark to 5-0 (save for losing to Brooke on Champs vs. Stars II), as the pair pull the Double Cross by default, and have the choice in hand of sending in any pair in the Redemption House - other than Natalie & Paulie with their Big Brother alliance - all as Nat's fellow competitor from last season, Victor, just became a fiance earlier.
As we wrap things up for now, if you live out west and just home early from your Saturday night - in just a bit Johnny Bananas kicks off his season as host of NBC's 1st Look TV as he marks the start of the NFL season - and where kickoff of this season's first Sunday in now ten hours away.
