Last week, the main house found themselves on edge when everyone except previous week's power team, Amanda & Zach, were up for elimination... but once again, the art of burning a vote as a throwaway came back to haunt the teams: a three-way tie saw Da'Vonne & Jozea get voted in by Thor & the Pop-Off Queen, and they choose Kam & Kayleigh to go in. Both teams then endured what, so far, is the toughest elimination battle of this summer: both teams found themselves tortured but Kam & Kay won sending the BB duo back to Redemption.
There, the Double Cross awaited Redemption, but in the end it went to Da'Vonne & Jozea, and this week they get an instant opportunity to regain their spot in the house.... again. Meanwhile, one guy who had plenty of moments in Hawaii gets an opportunity to utilize his skills of politicking to head back to the main house. And no Challenge season is complete without an eating challenge... and while a man who now finds himself in some baby drama has certainly thrived in those, this time there are stakes added to it this time around: whoever finishes last goes to Redemption.

And after the diary, we'll have a tribute to Mac Miller, as a friend of our shares her experience of meeting the now-departed rap star.

Two years ago, we had our newest Teen Mom, Cheyenne, and Devin become the luckiest players in Challenge land on Rivals III... this time, the title goes to Day & Jozea when they lose a brutal elimination, pull the Double Cross, win Redemption for a second time over Natalie & Paulie in a rematch of the first Apocalypse and return to the house. And in an eating contest that favored Tony going in, he & Bananas finish in the Top 3 but behind this week's winners, Ashley & Hunter - who himself excelled in this very challenge in Redemption last year on Dirty 30. And if the midseason peek ahead promises anything, we should be in for quite a ride.

Those of you who visit this website regularly know of Kaitlyn Macisco: she has the featured subject of two DC FORUM specials covering the reunions she went to for Real World and The Challenge, and we've also featured here in other posts too. But while she was a student at Eastern Connecticut State University where she went to school, she worked behind the scenes helping to bring Mac to their college.
