Last week, in the wake of the secret nominations, Shane did what he can to manipulate it to his advantage, but he also met his match in Da'Vonne as they get into a late night argument after that vote... but as it turns out, it's only the start to the latest version of what he does best. Also, we saw Kam add more to being not just a queen of the elimination chamber, but prove her worth in the house: an elaborate plan to test the house's loyalty to her, and in the end it left everyone shook and left a member of her Dolphin Squad in tears... which might qualify Sylvia for an Oscar.
However, no one was prepared for the latest trick to come from TJ Lavin's top hat, and at the end of last week he dropped a massive, game-changing twist. And this week we find out if the new & improved Mercenaries twist will indeed turn the game upside down, with a champ and a breakout competitor from last year ready to go at it. For the man who's taken on the role of ladies man in the house, it's what happens this week that may prove why he may unseat a ladies man turned daddy as resident player. And the king of shadiness does his job yet again... this time with greater heights.
All the action, reaction and interaction of Episode 8 of this twisted Challenge season is coming up, along with a sophomore and a freshman getting into it, and a challenger making an additional mark when their music becomes part of this episode. And music also plays a part in the ExtraTime story that follows the diary, as we'll look at when one member of Team MTV deciding to hold up the rush hour traffic to do the Shiggy.

So, things change quite a bit with Ashley and Hunter not only winning their elimination battle against two rookies who've certainly made a good impression this season, Angela & Faith, but also take their spot in the house - something we didn't see last season. But the headline of the second half is Shane: him throwing this week's challenge, and being the target of his whole team which may make him an easy target for the field to perhaps put into the coming elimination. All in all, quite a night.

THE #ShiggyChallenge W/ SWIFT
The man who started the trend was online star The Shiggster, who got to hang out with Kailah and Ashley Kelsey during ESPY Week in Los Angeles. This week, he had his big moment in the spotlight when he got to perform the dance that started a craze at New York's Madison Square Garden as part of the arena tour put on by Canada's great musical export.
As we were browsing through Instagram this week, we happened to stumble upon a member of Team MTV deciding to do the Shiggy: Swift from Marie's Real World St. Thomas cast and The Challenge Free Agents back in 2014. In the video below, Swift decides to do something that's considered dangerous in other countries: pop out of his car when "In My Feelings" came on and do the Shiggy. He captioned below, "When they think you won’t pop out and hold up NYC traffic even more 😏"
