By DC Cueva
As the bio on some of my social media avenues suggest, I am a people person who's passionate about everything I'm into. From being a big fan of sports and music to being an obsessed fan of MTV's Real World. I've had the opportunity to meet Linkin Park, pose with Lord Stanley's Cup, travel to some great places, and even mingle in twitter world with some TV personalities.
Outside of this (an inner circle which refer to me by my actual name Dexter compared to going by my initials DC on the social media world, I just like it that way), I'm just your typical person who's living life as much as I can. I have a great loving family & relatives who care about me, and I also have a great group of friends who know who I am. Considering the busy life I have, I might not get to go & hang out with those friends as much as I used to when I was in school. But thanks to the technology of social media, I'm now able to once again talk with these people on a daily basis, as well as interact with those I would have never have imagined. Regardless, I'm someone who likes to be friendly with everyone, and is someone who these people can trust & talk to.
And something I haven't really talked about that much, I also have a symptom of autism carried over from when I was born. Although I am more high functioning than most others who have this serious disorder, autism also affects my younger brother, but much more seriously & severe than I am. I would like to try & support causes that help spread awareness of this such as Autism Speaks.
As for the purpose of this, the DC BLOG, I will be using this space to showcase the skill of what I do best: write and speak with the written word. I might not be the best talker - I sometimes mumble & stumble or have difficulty trying to think what I'm about to say when I talk to people. But when it comes to typing things on the computer or even writing on a piece of paper (albeit with my imperfect handwriting), that's where I'm most best at.
I'll be planning to write about some of the great experiences I've had, from that night meeting LP nearly a decade ago, to travelogues of some of my trips to Vegas, New York and more, to the moment that probably tops them all - high school graduation day in summer 2001. For that sports fan in me, I'll tap into some things from the sports world - yes the world. Yes, I'm a huge NBA fan & someone passionate about the Bay Area teams, but I also follow sports beyond the domestic policy. Do you know an LBW in cricket is? Or which athletes to watch for at next year's Sochi Winter Olympics? Chances are I know.
For those of you who are fans of The Real World and The Challenge (yes if you've been to my twitter you know I'm obsessed with that show), I'll also cover that too - from reviewing episodes from my point of view to sharing memories (I've watched at least part of every RW season plus BOTSeasons, my 1st Challenge in several years). And there will also be some other things outside of these that I will be touching upon too.
Again, welcome to my world. Can't wait to share you the thoughts, feelings and experiences that me, DC Cueva, will be sharing with you. Thanks and enjoy.
