Happy Memorial Day to you from all of us... and we hope you are enjoying this Monday off as we honor those who have served and those who have kept us safe in this time. And as we turn the page to summer 2021, matters in the fifth major pro sport in this first half of this year are about to come at a climax once again as we at DCBLOG now bring you the back-end of The Challenge: All-Stars finale in Argentina.

Back on Friday night when we brought you part 1 of it on here, the field of twelve who made their way though a deep field made it to the start line of the $500,000 final challenge: Alton, Aneesa, Big Easy, Darrell, Derrick, Jemmye, Jisela, Jonna, KellyAnne, Mark, Ruthie and Yes. As in past finals on the regular show - something only two have been through, it's a demanding two-day affair with several checkpoints along the way on day 1, the players being partnered up, and all of them being pushed physically and mentally if they want to make that run at the cash, for which the winner gets all of it.

At the end of part 1, Derrick shockingly crashed out when the boat he & Jisela were on made a wrong turn away from shore which cost them advancement in the final, as everyone else hiked their way through the wilderness doing everything we're accustomed to when money is on the line. And as we return to South America, the race continues as the OG's battle to get over a hot pepper that they had before going on that hike in the woods, and where they must survive a night of sleeping in the cold before embarking on a race to the top that, due of the points system in place for this, means that the one who finishes first may not be hoisting the crown at days end.

After the break, it's the second season finale in Challenge Nation of the year, as we bring you the SocialPulse of Week 2 of The Challenge All-Stars finale. And thanks for spending part of your holiday with the blog... we're glad you've joined us.

We welcome you back on Sunday of this long holiday weekend... the summer is just starting up as we mark the rite of the year's hottest season of Memorial Day weekend in America. But things are wrapping up -- at least right now -- for the Bam of MTV's Floribama Shore as Season 4 has reached its midseason finish line at the end of springtime.

This season is wrapping up on the midseason side of things with just six of them joining Jersey Shore OG's Snooki and J-Woww in person in the studio. Nilsa is the only one who cannot be with Aimee, Codi, Candace, Gus, Kirk and Jeremiah, not only because of the impending arrival of her new baby (which we will delve into in a little bit on here), but also because of her having to quarantine back home in Florida after she tested positive for COVID.

There's been a lot going down so far in the first half of the reunion, from her and Gus 1.0 getting into it a bit to Candace's friend Betheny joining in on the fun. Now, the second half of the Floribama reunion will see more brought up to the surface, including Codi getting his own spot in the weekly calendar. That and more ahead on the DCBLOG MTV SocialPulse...

As summer begins in America this long holiday weekend, this country is marking the return of the old normal for the first time since the outbreak of the pandemic, and the first full-fledged season of sorts since winter of last year. Millions of people who've been given their vaccination shots are enjoying the first of those times of that we have been longing for in two years, and they are catching up on a year's worth of lost time in recreation, travel and with family & friends by the pool and at the picnic table.

But on this Memorial Day Weekend, we're again reminded of the true meaning of why we have these few days off at the end of this month of May. At some point during these four days, it's likely you'll have a chance to have a moment of reflection to remember those who have served America in times of war, and the soldiers who have given their lives in combat abroad to defend our freedoms and way of life. As it was last year, this holiday sees not only us saying thank you to those who have served in uniform, but again to also send our appreciation to the millions of essential workers who've kept us safe and healthy in this time as we finally near the light at the end of that dark tunnel of the COVID pandemic.

For the cast of MTV's Siesta Key, there is one person who knows what it has been like to find himself in the heat of battle while wearing the Stars and Stripes. Before heading home to Florida for Seasons 2 and 3 and making that infamous trip to the house of his vendetta to crash his birthday party, Jared Kelderman served a tour of duty in the U.S. Navy as a crewman and drone operator out in California, and who also opened up about his battles with post-traumatic stress syndrome ("PTSD") after he returned following his tour. And for another member of this cast, the lockdown that caused all of us to stay home in the past fourteen months afforded Amanda Miller to explore something that radiates some fifty years after the fact: her dad taking part in one of the most tense events and periods of the 20th century.

As the Memorial Day weekend rages on here, there is a group of people from the South who are used to having the opportunity to spend their summers and spring breaks going crazy. But for the crew of MTV's Floribama Shore, Season 4 has seen them spend at least part of this year's craziness outside of their familiar surroundings of the state of Florida.

The pandemic and the current state of the union saw Aimee, Candace, Codi, Jeremiah, Kirk, Nilsa and Gus fly out west and much cooler weather than they're used to, but the drama also came along for the plane ride over to the state of Montana and then down south to Arizona. In both instances, plenty of drama went down as the failed bromance clouded over matters, but there was also the joy of them enjoying time in the snow before getting a resort all to themselves... and there was also the first steps towards parenthood for Nilsa. But it all came to an end when production shut down prematurely in the wake of some of the crew returning positive tests while in the Valley of the Sun.

And now, all that's left before Thursday nights in the summer shift over to their OG counterparts is a 2-part Floribama reunion, hosted by Snooki & J-Woww before we count down to the former's big return for Jersey Shore heads to the Poconos. And we'll have all of the embedded highlights coming up on the DCBLOG 'Pulse from the Shore...

MTV Reality WRAP: Siesta Key - Prenups, a Party, and a Yacht Video

BY DC CUEVA

It is the Memorial Day weekend -- the spiritual start of summer in the United States and the first weekend of the old normal in over a year. And in the Floridian town of Sarasota, the weather is not only getting up there into the 90's, but thunder and rain will also sadly spoil many barbecues. But, we are the cure for your summertime blues if you happen to be rained out there as we bring you into its suburb beach town of Siesta Key as Season 4 of the titular MTV show is underway.

As it was for Season 3 a year ago, last week's second episode saw a housewarming involving Juliette... but it's a far cry from when she and Kelsey opened their new house to everyone and the drama that came out of that ill-fated party. But here, it was her new man Sam christening his new millionaire's crib, but the choice of his girlfriend inviting over Kels added more to their growing feud. There was also more tension simmering with her and Chloe (and with others in the clique) after a relapse in spreading rumors about the model as she has been pledging to better herself. Also at that housewarming, Brandon got to meet Camilla after what he went through last year... but the object of the biggest affection came when Sam invited his ex Jordana to commission a portrait painting of Jules that cost just pocket change: $10,000.

Now, the focus turns to the one who is starting the process of readying herself for the biggest day of her life, and there's also a new music video featuring her ex. We'll have those and more ahead as DCBLOG wraps up Episode 3 of Siesta Key with talk of a prenup and a party on the boat just to come here...

Inside MTV Reality: Match Me If You Can

Right now, the most-eagerly anticipated summer in recent memory is underway as this Memorial Day Weekend has commenced the first full-fledged season of pleasure in twenty-four months. As vaccination has been on the minds of millions of Americans this spring, the much-desired and sought-after return to normalcy has come quicker than we all have thought, and we are in for quite a summer ahead on many fronts with live events returning, stadiums and arenas being filled to a big summer of sports, and lots more in store.

For those who are into the world of reality TV, summertime feels almost like Christmas as the schedules on the major networks are now making room for the genre's biggest hits: America's Got Talent, American Ninja Warrior, Big Brother, Love Island in both America and the U.K., The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, and Jersey Shore. And those are just some of the many reality-based series that will take to our screens on broadcast, streaming and cable in the 104 days from right now on this Friday night of this long weekend until Labor Day Monday brings this all to a close in September.

It's with this in mind that the folks at Pepsi are contributing their part to help usher in the Summer of 2021 and the first romantic reality dating show produced by MTV since the start of the panic that has plagued the past year. Starting with when it debuted during the season finale of The Challenge: Double Agents and continuing into this month of May, they and the branded content marketing arm of MTV's parent, ViacomCBS' Velocity, teamed up to create the spring's must-watch romantic show -- and provide a launchpad to the first new Pepsi flavor in five years. And some of your favorite reality stars including those familiar to us here are front and center for the experiment that is Match Me If You Can.

And so after all this time we've been at home and away from our loved ones, we have finally made it to the start of the summer of 2021 - and you can all breathe a sigh of relief like us in saying that. And as we kick off Memorial Day Weekend and the biggest summer in America in a long time we begin with its fifth major pro sport, and the beginning of the second final challenge of the spring as MTV's The Challenge: All-Stars on Paramount+ wraps up.

There's a reason why those of you who have longed for the originals to return to the screen for this all-star packed season of the show you love, and there have been plenty of good things to discuss about this Challenge that it wouldn't even fit this opening monologue. And the last time we were with the OG's in Argentina, it was Semifinal Week - our definition for the last pre-final regular challenge and elimination, and the players got to go big on a dusty highway doing what their counterparts on the regular show have been doing. And before she went into an arena that she would ultimately win, Jisela had it out with former friend Aneesa, which proves that even long friendships are not immune from this spinoff.

Her win with Big Easy over Kendal & Nehemiah solidified the the field of a dozen that also consists of not only her old friend, but also Alton, Darrell, Derrick, Jemmye, Jonna, KellyAnne, Mark, Ruthie and Yes. And they are about to embark on something that all but two of them have gone through before: a punishing two-day final with only the winner getting the entire prize pool at stake of $500,000. There are several checkpoints along the route in the Argentinean wilderness as they will be pushed to both their physical and mental limits and have to rely on relationships they've forged during this stay in South America as they try to make it to the end... but not everyone will do so as the starting horn goes off.

After the jump, DCBLOG brings you to the peaks of Argentina for the SocialPulse of the first day of The Challenge: All-Stars Finale as the quest for a half-million commences... and welcome to the weekend and this Summer to Remember.

DC ExtraTime Follow-Up: More Dirty Little Secrets from the Truth Booth...

BY DC CUEVA
 @DC408DXTR  @ IG/YT/SC/TB/TK

In the summer of 2015, Lifetime premiered the first of a four-season scripted drama series that took viewers into what really goes on behind the scenes of a romantic reality television show. Unreal was conceived by a former producer of The Bachelor as a young reality TV producer was pushed by her dishonest boss to try and jazz up an otherwise run of the mill reality dating show with plenty of lustful drama and even manipulating the contestants to make it as outrageous as any on the dial.

However, the genre of reality dating shows have been in the news a lot in the showbiz industry lately for similar reasons behind the scenes, none bigger than what's happened to the show Unreal producer Sarah Gertrude Shapiro once worked on. In the past year, Bachelor Nation has found itself embroiled in behind-the-scenes drama surrounding race despite making inroads having Tanisha Adams and Matt James as their most recent leads, and host Chris Harrison stepping away from Katie Thurston's upcoming Bachelorette season next month after he also got caught in the crossfire of racial controversy over a contestant on Matt's season when he talked to Rachel Lindsay, herself Matt and Tanisha's predecessor as the franchise's first lead and as co-host of MTV's Catfish spinoff Ghosted.

Over at MTV, one of its contributions to the dating genre has also been under fire in the past month when Gianna Hammer from Season 5 of Are You The One? brought forth the same kind of charges that was leveled at Bachelor spinoff Bachelor in Paradise. There, she brought out into the open that she was sexually assaulted in an off-camera incident when she was drunk one night during her stay in the Caribbean. The show's producers in Lighthearted Entertainment are already under investigation as the production and casting process for Season 9 has been paused due to this rather disturbing matter, along with her season also being taken off of streaming platforms following the emergence of these charges.

Now, things have gotten even worse: even more dirty little secrets from the Truth Booth have now been exposed, where race was once again at the heart of matters as well as the single biggest moment of Gianna's season. And perhaps, we are now getting deep into witnessing the real-life version of Unreal unfolding inside the most controversial season ever of AYTO.

MTV Reality WRAP: Siesta Key - Rumors Are Abound at a Painting Party...

BY DC CUEVA
 @DC408DXTR  @ IG/YT/SC/TB/TK

In one week from now, we will be kicking off what promises to be the biggest summer we've ever had in the lifetimes of you and most of us, with plenty on offer after more than a full year in lockdown. But if you're looking for a head start on Memorial Day Weekend, the summer is already in full swing down in Florida and in that beachy suburb outside of Tampa Bay known as Siesta Key, as Season 4 of the MTV show of the same name is well underway as the weather heats up.

Last week saw us return to paradise once again as we caught up with a group that's changed a bit from when we left them at the end of last summer: Brandon getting used to being a changed man in a way of being a father, while Chloe set off on a journey to change herself from spreading gossip to being a better person spiritually, and Amanda pursuing her ambitions of being a well-known filmmaker. And it was a screening party for the new castmate's first short film that Kelsey and Juliette met up and where a visit to the ladder's house by a friend of the former in Joe that set off things with them once again.

Week 2 last year saw those two co-host a housewarming that quite literally became a fight night... but how will the effects of that blowup radiate around town? We'll have that and a peek at a painting that will make you want to look at your stimulus check and think of what you can with that when we bring you our Siesta Key WRAP just ahead here. And welcome to the weekend...

DC SocialPulse: Floribama Shore - The Season 4 Spring Finale

We are knocking on the door of a summer unlike any other we have had in recent years, and now as we inch ever closer to Memorial Day Weekend kicking off in two weeks' time our spring break for our favorite Southerners, the cast of Floribama Shore, is about to come to an end... a season unlike those we've had in the four years we've been enjoying their company on MTV.

It all began with the group taking on something a bit different than what they've been accustomed to: a trip outside the state of Florida and into a state much cooler than the Sunshine State around winter time - Montana. Then, they exchanged snow for sandals as they've been spending the past few weeks in Arizona and Lake Havasu on the AZ/California border. And last week, the Bam finally got a break from the drama as Gus began to co-exist more with Jeremiah, while Nilsa dealt with having to not having to celebrate her coming gender reveal with her military-serving boyfriend in the Desert.

If you've riding with the Bam ever since this began, you know that the temperature will rise whenever he or someone else mentions Jeremiah's brother, and we've seen Josh make out with Nilsa, him in that stars & stripes outfit and a bunch of other things when he has visited the house. Well this week he is back once again, and he is joined by mutual friend Lenns as the latest saga of Josh & Floribama takes place, along with that vehicle that you see when there's bags of clubs and balls around at the park. But a wake-up call will then surprise the group to show how surreal we are in a time as twisted as this.

After the jump, we bring you the 'Pulse of the Season 4 midseason finale of Floribama Shore as their spring break in Arizona comes to an end... and we'll also begin to iron out what we have planned on here during the next several months. Dive in...

DC SocialPulse: The Challenge All-Stars - Semifinal Week

For sports fans, spring is always a time of decision: with an expanded 20-team field the NBA will tip off the Playoffs tomorrow with its 2nd annual Play-In Tournament, while the NHL has just dropped the puck on the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and European football is in the closing stages of their domestic seasons. And now, our winter & spring with MTV's The Challenge has entered its business end as All-Stars is heading towards its $500,000 final, if you can believe how fast and fun this season has been, even if you can fork over money for Paramount+.

Summer is synonymous with pool season, and last week saw yet another challenge above the water as the OG's had to scramble to solve a puzzle, and that meant another wipeout for Katie after we've seen many of them in her storied career. With the midseason twist of double elimination weeks meaning that everyone is on edge, two people who were against each other during this stay in Argentina got paired up in the arena in Mark and Kendal, and in an all-Road Rules elimination they took out Katie & Laterrian solidifying her as perhaps the bettor's favorite going into this week as Vegas opens back up to 100% capacity.

For those who watch the regular show, we've become accustomed to high-flying & death-defying daily missions as the folks who make this thing possible have upped the ante in the stunt category - one of the bright lights in this modern age. Well as we return to South America, the OG's will see what being in that kind of adrenaline rush is about as they tackle their most intense game yet on a dusty highway - and a few in this group know what that's like. It also doubles as the season's last regular challenge, followed by the last elimination arena that will set that field of finalists... and in between, the nature of what this game is about when things get serious will see a close friendship possibly go by the way side.

After the jump, DCBLOG brings you the 'Pulse of Semifinal Week of The Challenge: All-Stars... and as Baddies ATL made its debut over the weekend with her Ex On The Beach bestie Janelle, the one who reps the Bad Girls Club in Challenge Nation offers her verdict on this season. Thanks for joining us...

MTV Reality WRAP: Siesta Key - The Season 4 Premiere

BY DC CUEVA
 @DC408DXTR  @ IG/YT/SC/TB/TK

We are at the halfway point of the month of May, and we can finally say that things are just about back to normalcy after the tough past 14 months. And after spending our Wednesday nights with The Challenge along with the reunion of the first Real World cast, this week sees the start of a summer of new memories with old friends as MTV celebrates its 40th birthday: Jersey Shore returns when we enter the month of June, a new season of the second generation of Teen Mom, The Challenge All-Stars reaching its homestretch on Paramount+, and The Hills made its return this week after a year & a half's hiatus. And in the hour proceeding that, the drama at midweek kicks off with Siesta Key - a show inspired by the spirit of their Californian predecessors.

Season 3 last year saw things change considerably for the Floridian clique: a former producer becoming boyfriend and then fiancé to Madisson, her ex Brandon's bombshell of him becoming a dad following in the footsteps of Alex, and the love triangle involving BG and Amanda. But as is always the case around here, everything in this town revolves back to Juliette: she found love two times after the breakup with the king - first with Bachelorette Robby and now with billionaire Sam. And she also started last summer rooming with Kelsey, but by the time we flew out of town she had moved out as the two began their plots to take over fashion.

Now, we have returned to paradise for the fifth straight year as we find the group has changed a bit from when we began Season 3 a year & a half ago. And summer 2021 is starting with a bunch of new things happening for the clique, but what happened last year will no doubt carry into what promises to be another sultry season from this suburb of Sarasota. We'll Wrap up the Premiere of Season 4 of Siesta Key just ahead... and welcome back to the beach.

This week marked fourteen months since the start of the biggest health crisis our world has faced in a century, as the COVID pandemic shut down everything in its wake for an entire year. However, the buzz word in America and other nations right now has been vaccines, as millions of people are lining up for immunity shots from the disease and joining so many who have already been vaccinated, as the road to recovery continues on many fronts including Friday's announcement of the relaxation of mask wearing advisories by the Center for Disease Control. But the issue of this ordeal hasn't always been focused on our health, our safety and the impacts it has had on the way of life we're all used to.

A consequence of this has been the effect the pandemic has had on something synonymous with the year's busiest season when it comes to traveling, as we're just two weeks away from the first full-scale summer vacation season in two years. Those who are able to do so will be flying in droves to the destinations of their choosing this Memorial Day weekend, while others will take to the safe comforts of their cars for their travels on the long weekend that begins Summer in America as restrictions ease in cities across this country following the year in lockdown. And as cases have been on the decline, things are looking on the upward towards the much-desired and now eagerly-anticipated return to normalcy in this country.

But there's still a lot to work to be taken care of, as not everyone is hesitant to take to the skies just yet or even to be around large numbers of people as they have not been vaccinated yet. And many nations are still not open to Americans and other residents of nations outside their borders as they try to stop another wave from shutting things down again. It's with the ladder in mind that brings us to this story with roots in what we cover on here: a guy who starred on a largely forgotten MTV Reality show a few years ago is back in the spotlight... not because of him reappearing on a new show, but for a much different reason.

And if you have been seeing his very active Twitter account lately, he has been leading efforts on social media in the past several months to help reopen the borders of a nation that, for the most part, has been closed off to international travel since the beginning of this terrible outbreak. And as the time he and his girlfriend last saw each other in person, Alex Shinder of Winter Break: Hunter Mountain is making his voice heard loud and clear all the way from New Jersey across the Pacific Ocean as he tries to reconnect with his girlfriend as her nation of Australia will shortly enter their winter down under.

Inside MTV Reality: Siesta Key - Return to Paradise

BY DC CUEVA
 @DC408DXTR  @ IG/YT/SC/TB/TK

We are now on the edge of a time that will be unlike any we have gotten to enjoy while we've been alive -- after a year unlike any other we've had in our lives, the pent up anticipation we've had for two full years will finally be let out as summer 2021 is just around the corner. The regular season in TV land will soon wrap up, but there will be plenty of buzzworthy reality shows, big sporting events and more to come during the hottest season of the year as we inch our way towards Memorial Day Weekend.

On the MTV front, we've just crowned worthy champions on The Challenge: Double Agents as the focus has shifted to the All-Stars spinoff on Paramount+ that's brought back the feels of fans of the fifth major pro sport. Teen Mom Tuesdays now belong to the second generation of ladies as their season has just begun again, and the countdown is in full swing for Jersey Shore to take over Thursdays as they head out to the Poconos. And this week, the road trip of the Floribama Shore cast will come to an end as their vacation away from the Sunshine State wraps up in Arizona... and then there is their neighbors.

It's been quite a time for those who call Florida home, and if you can handle the humidity, the heat, the hurricane season that's on the horizon and the madness that's taking place towards what we hope is the end of this pandemic, there's probably no better place in America than there. And for the fifth straight year, MTV is headed down to a paradise that wasn't well known before summer 2017, but now everyone across this country knows what Siesta Key is all about... and it's not just because of the gorgeous beach and its surrounding community located right near Sarasota and a bit aways from the present capital of American sport of Tampa Bay.

It's in this very town that we have followed the lives, the loves and the drama that collide with the sun, the surf, the sand and the sultry heat from the network and the producing duo who made Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari household names. And for this summer, they will share the same night in the middle of the week as their counterparts out in California which, like it and the show that proceeded it in Orange County, set the bar for the genre of the docusoap. The kids of the Key share a trait with those out west with the same drama and dynamic while also being mindful of what people like them are going through and being that much more relatable to us.

After plenty went down in Florida in its first two seasons, last year saw things change considerably here: a musician began to take on that sign that it's time to settle down and raise a new baby. An ex of his scored a romance of her own with someone out of left field and who knows this group just as well as anyone from behind the camera, while another ex dealt with a love triangle involving him. But it all comes back to the young lady who graduated college and scored who she thought was her match... only for that to fall apart as did a friendship with a model from the heartland as she goes about trying to make a name for herself other than being the standout character in this ongoing saga.

Now we have returned to this playground of 7,000 the width of the Las Vegas Strip, and drama awaits once again in Siesta Key: Brandon taking on that challenge of parenthood, Madisson thinking of her upcoming big day, Chloe looking to go beyond being the gossip queen, new things for Garrett and Amanda, and the race to launch new summer outfit lines for Juliette and Kelsey. And those are just the icebreakers: this summer escape will offer us quite a bit in the coming months, as this guilty pleasure will serve as the undercard to the night's main event: the return of the group they got to grow up watching in The Hills.

And after the jump, DCBLOG takes a look back to an eventful Season 3 of Siesta Key, and our first look at what its fourth installment has in store when it premieres tomorrow, and welcome back to paradise.

Inside MTV Reality: The Look Ahead - Are You The One? Heads to Vanderpump Rules?!?

 #DCBLOG  EXCLUSIVE
.
BY DC CUEVA
 @DC408DXTR  @ IG/YT/SC/TB/TK

Back in 2019, this site first zoomed in on the happenings of a popular restaurant located not far from the Sunset Strip and down the street from the headquarters of a firm that's been feeling the heat lately in the organizers of the Golden Globe Awards. SUR is one of the businesses owned by The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Lisa Vanderpump, which is best known as the location for one of the many spinoffs of Bravo's signature reality franchise.

In a way, Vanderpump Rules is perhaps bigger than the parent series itself in that, for eight seasons, it has followed just about everyone who has worked for Lisa at SUR or at the many other restaurants and businesses under either her watch or that of the other cast members, for whom they have such a solid following among reality TV fans and those in the social media realm. That includes Scheana Shay, who last week welcomed her first baby two years after sparking rumors that she would be the first in her cast to become a mom but later revealed that she was freezing her eggs before expecting, and during when she going through a divorce of her fiancé.

Since it aired the finale of its eighth season aired 11 months ago, VPR has gone through a lot: not only has Scheana and the cast welcomed babies to their families and have tied the knot, the obvious situation we're still in because of the pandemic meant that the restaurant was shut down for an entire year... and during SUR's closure the series was also affected by the summer that changed everything in reality TV. And now after the long layoff, filming of Season 9 is now underway down in the Southland, with it to air on the NBC Universal-owned cable channel later this year.

And you might be wondering why we are covering this show in the first place once again after we first featured Scheana on here getting to host Jersey Shore's Ronnie Ortiz and MTV vet Kailah Casillas the night he had that IG live fight with his baby mama Jen Hurley... It's because of a few photos that popped up on the SUR Instagram page in the past week that gives us some wondering that the takeover of alumni of the reality shows we cover solely on here in MTV's lineup may stretch to the show that calls the restaurant its home. For the origin of this, you have to go back to around the time when this show was well into its second season.

Happy Mother's Day to all of you out there from yours truly and my family - including my mom and my sister... and we hope you are enjoying yours too. And while you have this moment from your Sunday festivities, why not join us here at DCBLOG as we bring you a slice of action from Argentina as we get underway with the second half of MTV's The Challenge All-Stars and the Pulse of that on here.

The first half of this Paramount+ version of the reality competition show you love has certainly offered plenty to enjoy that, for a lot of you, is better than the regular show that just wrapped its 36th season and is now underway on its 37th overseas. And last week saw two elements that signal that things are getting serious: a mini-final with endurance and puzzles that saw two Road Rules alums reign supreme. The other was the latest Teej-bomb to drop from the hat of TJ Lavin: the rest of this season will have partnered double elimination rounds until the final, and saw Alton & Aneesa excuse Syrus & Beth.

With that elimination twist now making things that much more tense on everyone, this spinoff has had plenty of challenges take place above the water... and this week it's no different as the OG's must face their worst fears having to solve a puzzle before being dropped into the lake -- and that is not good news for one used to wiping out on this show. Meanwhile, an element of the Rivals seasons of years past and the partnered battles means that two adversaries have to suck it up to try and stay in the game -- and unlike the regular series, that one is taking place as this season is going along.

Join us here after the break as we bring you all the action, reaction and interaction of Week 6 of All-Stars on the DCBLOG Challenge SocialPulse, and you'll also meet an adorable daughter who has some words to say to all of you after what goes down. Thanks for joining us, and Happy Mom's Day...

Hey there... you all have just enjoyed a fine Saturday night as Champs vs. Stars Challenger Michelle Waterson dropped a decision in the UFC octagon, and Canelo Alvarez's fight with Billy Joe Saunders has just ended down in Dallas with the Mexican getting the TKO win. And now, we're about to bring you a little fun to bring this night to a end as DCBLOG brings you the 'Pulse of Floribama Shore and the trip out west now starting to reach its sunset.

After spending most of this Season 4 being snowed in by a winter trip up to Montana with lots going down there, last week the Bam finally got to exchange those layers for some swimwear and warmer weather as they flew down to former MTV Spring Break host town, Lake Havasu in Arizona for the rest of their vacation. And as they returned to familiar settings with the warm desert climate there in the Valley of the Sun and to having a resort to themselves just as the Jersey Shore crew had earlier this year up in Las Vegas, thing did get heated a bit when Gus finally let it out that he and Aimee's cousin got to hunch in the cabin.

This week, their stay in Chateau Floribama rages on as everyone finally gets a much needed break from the drama, as Gus finally feels confident to let what happened in the past finally stay there in the past. As she finally brings this winter to an end, Nilsa will also find herself having to come to grips with how cruel the events of what's gone on the past year can be when it comes to an important part of any new mom's journey to parenthood. And it wouldn't be a season of Floribama without mentioning the one who seems to be joined at the neck of his brother... and he's about to do that again.

After the jump, it's trying to find a cure to the perfect hangover, as Puke and Rally Time returns to the Floribama Shore world and Week 11 of Season 4. But if you are a reality TV fan, you don't want to miss what we got afterwards: a new reality show featuring one of the Bam's biggest fans and one who we saw rule the Ex On The Beach house. Thanks for wrapping your Saturday with us...

Welcome back on this day before Mother's Day... it might feel long ago now considering all that's gone down in our world since, but back on Thanksgiving weekend last year we at DCBLOG published our preview of the thirty-sixth season of MTV's The Challenge. And now as we prepare to mark the eighth birthday of this page early next week as we knock the door on the first normal summer of sorts in two years, we can now officially put the last pieces together on the drama in Iceland with this 23rd and last edition of the Double Agents Challenge SocialPulse.

Just after we saw C.T. join Johnny Bananas and Darrell as four-time champions and partner Amber B. become the first Big Brother alum to become a Challenge champ, the reunion is all that's left to be had before this season goes into the vaults and many of these players jet off for their summer vacation filming the next Challenge. But unlike what was the case last year, pandemic-caused restrictions have lifted a bit to make possible a hybrid studio and virtual reunion with some of the cast joining host Vernon Davis in person and others joining via Zoom.

And this week, it's part two - and there's lots more for the cast to discuss with the former 49er including shady game moves, house happenings and a curtain call for one of the The Challenge's most beloved players. And after the jump, it's the Pulse of Part 2 of the Double Agents reunion and embedded Twitter highlights from the last episode of this season, along with our parting thoughts on the Challenge career of Leroy as he steps away one last time from MTV. And thanks for joining us...

DC ExtraTime: Someone You Should Know - YouTube Prankster RossCreations

BY DC CUEVA

In much of the past decade, MTV fans have become accustomed to Challenge Wednesdays and the fifth major pro sport of The Challenge taking place at the middle of the week -- same goes for the show that introduced America to the art of using a phony online identification to create a love affair, Catfish. But after the end of another exciting season of the show that began the subgenre of reality competition shows, summer 2021 will turn see the focus of MTV Wednesdays shift to drama and two of the shows which represent the legacy of when the channel began a new subgenre: reality soap.

This coming week on Wednesday May 12th, The Hills begins its eighth overall season and the second of the New Beginnings spinoff, almost two decades since its predecessor Laguna Beach began, and for which the visit of Kristin Cavallari will no doubt be a must-see. But in the hour prior to us returning to California again, it's Season 4 of its East Coast counterpart, Siesta Key, as those who grew up watching her, Lauren, Speidi and their power clique provide us with their brand of juicy drama. The past four years in that beach town outside of Sarasota, Florida have provided us with plenty to devour, and all indications are that we should be in for another sultry summer ahead of us.

During Season 3 last year, someone who was a bit player of sorts in its first two summers finally emerged into being a permanent part of the Floridian friend group. Amanda Miller was there for that opening birthday party in Alex Kompo's house and promptly gave the town's authority on elitist gossip, Chloe Trautman, a broken nose when she flirted with musician and resident player Brandon Gomes. But two years later, Amanda would find herself once again in the drama, this time in what is always a mouth-watering prospect in these reality soaps - and any MTV Reality show for that matter: a love triangle which included not just BG but also an ex of hers that came back to try and win her heart again.

That other guy in the triangle was JJ Mizell, who loves anything to get that adrenaline rush of thrills in surfing, wakeboarding, snowboarding and motorcycling. He also came back into the picture as Amanda's ex, and there were plenty of moments involving the two exes last year: them and Brandon sharing the same boat along with Jared Kelderman (the one who sparked that brawl with Alex to begin Season 2 and flirted with Kelsey Owens), JJ melting down at his own birthday party that took place at Amanda's house, and them finally ending things for good at the Friendsgiving dinner get-together by the beach on Thanksgiving night. And who can forget them kissing outside at a night of country line dancing at everyone's favorite watering hole: the local hometown saloon.

We won't be seeing JJ or Jared when we reconvene for this year's trip down to Siesta Key when we return to Florida next week... but if you're one of those who loves to go on YouTube for the sake of getting that much needed comic relief during these times, than you might be seeing them in the background of videos created by the guy who, outside of Florida's most chill friend group, just might be the most famous figure in all of the Sarasota area. And it's here that, in this installment of Someone You Should Know, we'd thought we'd like you to meet one of their friends: the local prankster with millions of followers and who goes by a variation of his last name: RossCreations... and for someone who's not on the show, his life of making us laugh just might be fascinating enough to be a soap opera itself.

Hello friends, we've made it to the second weekend of May... and that means it's time to think about what things to get for the most important women of your lives: your mothers. But for a moment, let's take a moment or two from getting what flowers or cards to get for them by reflecting on the season that was of MTV's The Challenge Double Agents.

The thirty-sixth regular season of the fifth major pro sport began back on December 9th as, once again, it was the only professional sport that took place at midweek outside of the NFL and before the start of the soon-to-end regular seasons in the NBA and NHL. This time, experienced veterans, new generation challengers and first-time rookies from even pro sport and the Olympics came to Iceland for a season that had many players withdraw outside of elimination, along with the usual array of twists and turns, plenty of betrayals (with a few from the latest villain to come from the Big Brother fam), and lots of high flying action that befits the theme of this winter & spring: a spy movie thriller inspired by the likes of James Bond.

When we were with you last, eight agents had more than proved themselves worthy of making the sixth final challenge to boast a $1 million prize pool, and it represented the last dance for Leroy after a decade on MTV before he devotes full time to being a barber with his girlfriend Kam. But his dream to make the last chapter of his Challenge career one of becoming a champ was thwarted by the superhuman efforts of Big Brother alum Amber B., who became the first from her show to win a Challenge final alongside C.T., who after waiting a decade for his first title is now a four-time titlist... though many fans scored a win of sorts when Fessy and Kaycee got eliminated at the halfway point.

All that remains from this long season -- but one that still entertained us a bit also -- is for them, fellow finalists Cory and Nany, and some of the cast to join up with Vernon Davis to debrief everything that went down in Iceland -- ruthless moves, snakes, love and more. But unlike what was the cast last year, those are able to are joining the former NFL wideout back in MTV's Times Square studio, with others joining in on the discussion from their homes via Zoom. We'll have all the social chatter on the first half of the last act of this Challenge season coming up... and welcome to the weekend.

Three years ago, The Challenge stretched its wings to include those from outside the U.S. making their American television debuts from around the MTV family, ultimately encompassing the entire world of reality TV. And those who came our way from Britain to begin this global invasion have made an instant impact in every season since they first appeared on Vendettas in 2018, with finals appearances on there, Final Reckoning, War of the Worlds 1 and 2 and Total Madness, and one title during that span.

When the second wave of British imports came across the pond and to Namibia for War of the Worlds in 2019, much of the attention was one of the UK's biggest reality stars and his relationship with an alum of its summer guilty pleasure Love Island while one of her fellow Islanders went on to finish 2nd in what is seen as the toughest final challenge ever contested. But there was also some focus on the man from the East Midlands who nurtured his career on the football pitch playing for Coventry City in the second tier of the English Football League Championship and in clubs below the Premier League.

Ashley Cain became much more well known in Britain as part of two series of MTV's global dating franchise Ex On The Beach, being the man in the middle of a love triangle with Melissa Reeves and Kayleigh Morris - two of the original five who went from being on MTV UK to The Challenge. He came to War of the Worlds and got paired with the leader of the latest generation of female challengers, Kam Williams, and they flew under the radar in making it to halfway through the season before succumbing in elimination - one of the handful of times that Killa Kam has fallen short of a final.

However in the time since he left that Challenge season, it was just during this past year that Ash became more well known in the UK as he took on the task of becoming a dad to his first kid. But little did he know when he welcomed her into his world that he would say farewell less than a year later.
