Hi, hello, what's up and welcome back to DCBLOG's continuing chronicle of All Things MTV. It's been a very long while, hasn't it? It sure has and it's been so long, but we hope you enjoyed your summer and we're glad you've came as we kick off a new season right here of what's better known to me as the MTV Trifecta, and as they say good things come in threes. So, here we go...
Five months have past since our last post related to this world surrounding the channel I love and its people, but we're glad to be back covering the principal thing this blog devotes its focus to here. Of course, that would be of the three MTV reality TV shows that I gravitate the most attention to: Are You The One?, The Challenge and Real World. They're no doubt considered on here the main event in terms of interest, coverage depth and web traffic - not surprising for shows I love so much. We're obviously looking forward to covering these three shows wire-to-wire, every step of the way on here once again, taking you from when the buzz begins for the first one right now a month before their season premiere until the final act in several months from now. The same will apply for season 27 of The Challenge later on, and the 31st season of Real World down the road as well.

In the last Trifecta cycle which began at this time last year, the AYTO Season 2 cast came to Puerto Rico looking to match the bar set high by the Originals, but after experiencing two no-light matchup blackouts they came roaring back down the stretch to take the cash in their 10th & last try. On season 30 of Real World, the seven strangers were welcomed to Chicago with the usual pomp & circumstance but found themselves with a rude awakening as people from their past visited them in the house, but as it turned out two of them became a perfect match. And on season 26 of The Challenge, fourteen sets of exes came together and saw a girl snake bitten by past failures win the final. But there was poignancy to all that as the deaths of Diem Brown and Ryan Knight in the span of two weeks last November put a damper on that season and were especially remembered when it aired.
We'll look back at that last cycle on a special edition of DC FORUM coming up here during our month-long countdown with yours truly. But as the summer comes to a close and while I've been focusing both here and on DCNOW on a memorable Summer of Sports, the attention turns to what has been anticipated for some time now in how a show I only gotten interested just weeks before its season 1 debut can top what it did there and then in season 2.
Are You The One? will enter its junior campaign with lofty expectations as it welcomes its third set of girls & guys unlucky in love looking for love and money, and of course drama aplenty. From an tattooed Texas entrepreneur to hot girls from New York City, they've come to the Big Island of Hawaii, not far from where the Season 1 Originals made their mark, to try their luck at landing the person of their dreams and a share of $1 million. And considering both the Originals having the only perfect match that's stayed together and the late run Team 21 put on to win last year, anything is possible.
We are now into the month-long countdown to premiere night of Thursday, September 24th, which will be exactly 6 months to the day of when the last cycle ended, as well as almost exactly 18 months since the original AYTO cast won the cash in Kauai. And ahead here, we'll be looking ahead at Season 3 of AYTO with a full preview and introduction to all of the 20 girls & guys, plus a look at what we can expect this season. This includes another game-changing twist that could perhaps be even more shocking than what we had last year. Plus, as this is our first MTV post since March, we'll also update you on what some of your favorites from AYTO and the RW/Challenge franchise have been up to over the offseason, which includes plenty of talk of babies and relationships.
So as the slogan of my DCNOW live twitter hub likes to say, "Join In" after the jump as DCBLOG kicks off our coverage of the new campaign of the MTV Trifecta and start into motion the build-up to Season 3 of Are You The One?.
SINCE YOU'VE BEEN GONE...
First, before we preview AYTO 3, since there hasn't been on-air activity in the Trifecta since Sarah & Jordan won Exes 2 back on March 24, we thought it would be nice to begin by bringing you up to date with how some of your favorite castmates from the Trifecta spent this offseason. This doesn't include filming of Challenge 27, which comes your way a bit later on; or Real World 31, still casting ahead of filming this fall with a 2016 air date. But, the big news comes with those who won't be with us on upcoming Challenges in the foreseeable future, but now have great challenges ahead of raising new babies, plus two settling down with their soulmates.
To take the words of one of Kelly Clarkson's biggest hits, and also the title from the premiere episode of season 2 of what was once a guilty pleasure of mine in Laguna Beach, here's what been happening to the people of the MTV Trifecta "Since You've Been Gone..."
> Tadison: From Chicago, with Love...and a Baby
First, there's the couple from Real World Skeletons, who now have something to look forward as they mark one year together this summer. Tony and Madison clicked from the instant they met each other in Chicago that first night and through thick & thin have remained boyfriend & girlfriend. Both share common pasts of a difficult adolescence (her history with drugs and his late dad being a drug addict), and on that season survived both of his skeleton ex-girlfriends visiting the Windy City, her getting into a fight with the girls, his bad night at the club, and everything else to get to where they are.
With both being based in the southeast, they don't have to deal with the long distance problems most other MTV romances have dealt with one or the other moving cross county with their significant other, where Tadison have just a short hop between Baton Rouge, LA and Austin, TX to deal with to visit family & friends. They've now lasted longer than, among others, the Ex-Plosion couple of Jamie & Thomas and the Portland couple of Averey & Johnny. But that's not all...the story gets even better.
With both being based in the southeast, they don't have to deal with the long distance problems most other MTV romances have dealt with one or the other moving cross county with their significant other, where Tadison have just a short hop between Baton Rouge, LA and Austin, TX to deal with to visit family & friends. They've now lasted longer than, among others, the Ex-Plosion couple of Jamie & Thomas and the Portland couple of Averey & Johnny. But that's not all...the story gets even better.
Of course, there was the happy news that broke on August 10th, when Maddy announced the news on Instagram that she is becoming a new mom when she posted a picture of a sonogram of the new peanut. There's no pending birth date for the new munchkin set for right now, neither do we know if it's a boy or girl. But we do know that they're the second & third members from their Skeletons cast to become parents, just after what we saw with Jason during their season.
The outgrowing wave from support from social media land and Team MTV that came afterwards (4500 IG comments in her baby post) confirms the popularity of Tony and Madison as the latest sweethearts of the Real World/Challenge franchise. For the second year in a row, an MTV Trifecta show has found a perfect match, and just as it was with Amber & Ethan, now there's a baby as part of their family.
> Babies: From Rivals to New Moms
It was four years ago this summer that they got into words in Costa Rica, and led one of them to go all in on a mirror on The Challenge: Rivals, which was the most notable moment of one of our favorite Trifecta alter egos of Rasheeda. Now, in addition to having been paired on Rivals II two years later - and now both enjoying new lives off camera, Theresa and Jasmine now have another thing in common: both have babies headed their way this holiday season.
First, after earning a unexpected & belated but deserved 2nd shot at making a Challenge final when she beat frenemy Nany and then teamed with Leroy to finish 2nd, T.Time got not one, but two pieces of life-changing news to go along with that $35,000 paycheck. First, she got engaged to Detroit Lions wideout TJ Jones, who immediately gave this Packers fan a Lions jersey...it'll sure be an uneasy scenario for those two NFC North divisional games. And then before Mother's Day, Theresa revealed on IG that she has a baby coming up in the fall, with a pic of the sonogram to boot.

Ironically, the two babies are expected to be born over the holidays: Baby Gonzalez will be born on Thanksgiving just as her fiancΓ© plays the Eagles in Detroit's traditional NFL game that same last Thursday in November. And Jasmine's baby is projected for a Dec. 24 arrival...it's a safe bet Baby Reynaud will be the best Christmas present she will ever have. Now this brings this old rivalry to a happy ending with new playmates who may be the next dynamic Challenge duo down the road.

Unlike Team Green, we likely won't see this lady on a Challenge, but she did get a happily ever after moment after what we saw from her in San Francisco last year. On Real World Ex-Plosion, Jenny found herself at the heart of one of the two love triangles that formed in the City: her in between of former boyfriend Brian and fellow roommate Cory. After the buzz over the bropocalypse subsided - karate moves, knives and punches included, she moved from LA back home to Kansas City to be closer to her ex, and they immediately made up.
Back in March, an IG post of him kissing her tummy in the snow announced Jenny's pregnancy, and before the Exes 2 finale revealed that it will be a girl. And on the first weekend of August earlier this month, Violet Marie Williams was welcomed to the world in the company of Brian and Mommy Delich. Challenger Zach gave the new parents on Twitter a kind courtesy: "Now the hard part: making sure she never googles her parents!" They've come full circle after what they've been through.
A few months earlier, after a creative IG announcement last fall, longtime Challenge staple Katie Cooley also became a mom when, in June, she & husband Cory welcomed Avery Ryan Cooley to bring a sense of happiness to the one-time fiesty veteran's post-Challenge life. And we can't forget about fellow stalwart Paula Beckert, who after getting married following her Rivals II swan song, will soon have a 2nd mini Walnut in her life later this year to join 1-year-old Atlas; as will FM2 winner/RW XXV "local girl" Carley Johnson and RW Hollywood's Kimberly Alexander, also new moms too.
But the ladies aren't alone...a member of the first Are You The One cast is also expecting too. The last time we saw Chris T., he was in a whole different world when we saw him at Ethan & Amber's baby shower. But now the guy who was in a popular relationship with Shanley and also saved a man from a burning car will have to man up a bit, and also give the first couple some company as well. In early July, he and his new girlfriend of a few months, Jamie, found out that they will become parents to a new baby as well. Baby Tolleson will arrive in February of next year, which means plenty of time of chillin' yes, but also lots of time to help nurture the new kid.
> Relationships: One Old, One New, and a Foursome(!)
Something all three shows have in common is relationships, and this past cycle saw a few of them. Besides Tadison, the other most notable couple that has stayed together in the past year comes to us by way of Exes 2, and both have relationship histories as well. In Costa Rica, we saw the love square of Jenna, Zach, Jonna & Jay; and all of them have mingled with those in Team MTV off camera. Jenna may have been part of the duo that got scolded for quitting the Exes 2 final along with her ex Jay, but she did land a nice consolation prize in the man who was twitter's whipping boy during the season and also had relationships with both Ashley from B2SD and Ashlee from NOLA2. She began commuting back & forth with Zach after the season, and a year later are still together.
While none of the 10 matches from AYTO2 stayed together, there's now a romance brewing a year after, and it's a game-changer too. In Puerto Rico, Curtis was a romance with Briana, then after they weren't a match in the first of the two blackouts, was sent in the truth booth with Shelby and emerged a match much to her surprise. After he graduated college over this past spring, Mr. Do What You Love headed cross country from San Diego to Minneapolis and started becoming close with Shelby's close friend Jenni. She's also visited him in SoCal as well, and they have now become official though they continue to reside in their respective states. Curtis' and Jenni's IG hubs provide proof of this unexpected post-season perfect match.
And it's clear that the best friendship among Team 21 has lasted longer than all of the other perfect matches, aside of course from Amber & Ethan. The Goon Squad of Briana, Christina, Jessica and Ellie all reunited in Bri's San Diego digs earlier this year, and they've become the epitome of a great tight-knit friendship that comes when random people are casted for these shows, form a great bond during the show and become lifelong friends after the buzz subsides. Some of their fellow AYTO castmates, as well as a few from in & outside Team MTV, have hung out with the Squad in Surf City, and remain one of MTV's most popular cast members, proof being their hilarious Snapchat posts.
> Sarah: Challenge Champ, College Grad, and a Newlywed
Finally, there's the one whose gutsy move of going all in on The Challenge's biggest name led her to the Exes 2 winners circle in Norway. It's safe to say that Sarah has had the time of her life in the past year: breaking an alliance with 5-time champ Johnny Bananas, putting the Ex-Plosion rookies in to succumb in Norway to make things easy for her, and teaming with Jordan to finally get that monkey off her back. All those years of falling short time after time with weak partners and bad luck motivated Sarah and now she has a great future ahead outside of Challenge world.
After flying home from Scandinavia last year at a night in a Hollywood social club, her boyfriend Landon Patterson proposed to her and she uttered "yes." In May, Sarah and Landon tied the knot in Palm Springs with fellow Brooklynites Chet and Baya, Theresa and Challenge best friend Susie Meister, among others, all being witness to them tying the knot and her going from Ms. Rice to Mrs. Patterson. Then they flew back to where she had her first Challenge and did traveling after what was her last early exit (on Rivals 2), Thailand, for their honeymoon, and that trip took the newlyweds not only to Asia, but also to Italy as well. This only adds to a fantastic summer for Sarah, as she also graduated from CSU Long Beach as well.
ARE YOU THE ONE? - SEASON 3
Now after that update, the focus turns to the present, and the countdown to Season 3 of Are You The One?. The show began in January 2014 as one of those shows, along with Catfish and currently by the acclaimed series One Bad Choice, that landed the coveted spot of following MTV's most highly-scrutinized foursome of Chelsea, Jenelle, Kailyn & Leah, and captivated viewers who stayed up after Teen Mom with a new kind of show that changed the game of dating shows. It gave people a whole new definition to mixing romance with reality TV, cash with love, and drama with finding the one of their dreams. And for this RW/Challenge fan and others, the hybrid of those two shows and a dating format along the lines of my mom's favorite show The Bachelor gave me a third MTV show to rally around to of course create the Trifecta.
For the Season 1 Originals, they went through a roller-coaster with triangles, broken hearts and drama plenty on the island of Kauai. But, from several big romances to dynamic personalities, they were the perfect group to get things started. And they disposed of their $1 million mission in only nine tries and saw its only perfect match to stay together afterwards, Amber & Ethan, get engaged, married and become parents to a new baby girl. For Team 21 in Season 2, they were all over the place early on in Puerto Rico and were burned with not one, but two no-light matchup blackouts - along with the twist of 11th girl Christina. But they came roaring back down the stretch to notch three truth booth matches, and even sweated out Layton choosing the 11th girl over Bostonian Tyler at the last matchup, to complete the remarkable comeback and snatch the $1 million in their 10th & last try.
In case you're new to the show, here's how Are You The One? works: 20 singles - 10 each from the girls and guys side - have been picked on the premise that they've not had long-term dating success. They're put in a comprehensive matchmaking process - interviews, questionnaires, compatibility tests and all - to help find their significant other. All of them will live together in a large mansion where somewhere inside, their perfect match is living with them, but of course the results are kept secret to them and it's up to the house and the castmates to find who they're matched up with.
AYTO features weekly getaway challenges of various forms - athletic and causal - that help determine which pairs win a date outside the house with the person they choose. The winners' reward is a luxurious, adventurous and fun date around their surroundings, while those we don't win will decide who to vote into the truth booth, which is the only way that a perfect match is validated. If that's the case and the lasers have their way, they will move into the Honeymoon Suites to enjoy time away from the drama and party atmosphere of the house, not to mention getting a piece of that puzzle.
Finally, there's the Matchup Ceremony, where they join host Ryan Devlin on the patio to choose who they think is their perfect match by locking into a match machine. It's here in the Theater of Dreams that 10 light beams will determine the group's fate each week. It can be of despair as what happened to Season 2 or when there's no change. It can be of optimism in having a decent amount of matches or any increase from the previous week. Or, of course, there's the ultimate one: 10 lights lit out of 10, and the cast walks off $1 million richer, $50K per person. They've got 10 tries to do just that.
#DCSocialPulse EXTRA: THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS
After the popularity of the beloved original Season 1 cast and the eclectic group of Season 2 last year, it's obviously no easy task for the new cast of Season 3 to come in with the always unenviable task of following in the footsteps of their predecessors. But of course, they're ready, eager and willing to live up to the task set down for them by the first two AYTO casts.
The new kids on the block were chosen from all over the U.S., as well as for the very first time from Canada, for a shot at finding their one and winning their cut of the jackpot that awaits them should they run the table. It's another diverse group that ranges from a slew of singles from the New York tri-state area to a girl from Virginia who's friends with Mr. Hulk from Season 1. But of course, the thread that ties them together is that they have not been successful in the romantic world and have come to Hawaii hoping those bad habits were left behind in the quest for their perfect match.
To mark their entry to Team MTV, here's the first edition of DC SocialPulse with the buzz from when the Season 3 cast was revealed on August 20th. I would always liken the launch of any season to the holiday excitement beginning on Thanksgiving Day and culminating with the premiere which feels like Christmas Day. This one was no different, as MTV's Snapchat hub introduced our new set of singles through 3 minutes of all 20 of them officially joining the family in 10-second snaps. We'll offer a one-by-one look at all of them after this 'Pulse Extra.

And before proceeding, a reminder that I've taken greater steps to prevent instances of what happened to me with some of last season's cast from ever happening again, which was frankly explained on here last year (and to those who if you know who you are, I sincerely apologize to those who shall remain nameless who I unfortunately and inadvertently offended during that rare rant I went on but do hope that we can mend fences in the future).With that now out of the way, now to our first look at the Season 3 cast, and we'll be going through the entire roster in alphabetical order, A to Z. Also note that their names are also linked to their Twitter accounts so you can give them a follow there (or as always, follow me @DC408Dxtr for my weekly Follow Friday sweeps of the entire cast).
- Alec: He was once the big man on campus for his huge weight in high school, but Alec has driven himself dramatically to lose the fat and make a huge transformation into a great physical specimen. With the cast's most inspiring backstory, the ladies can't get their eyes off of the new Alec and he likes the attention. Now the focus for this Philly Latino is to look beyond just the looks and physical appearances of the ladies and look for the one with the right personality to go along with it.
- Amanda: Amanda from outside Denver has the looks, the smarts and lots of confidence. But that hasn't turned into luck in the relationship department, with past flings leaving her insecure and settling for sub-par guys. She's typically been the heartbreaker rather than play the role of the heartbroken, which is why she's quick to dump a guy rather than wait for him to move on. Now the question here will be if she finds that one who can stick around a while.
- Austin: From north of Dallas and now calling the namesake Texas state capital home, Austin no doubt enjoys living the luxurious life. This former Army member has the tattoos & nice looks, yes; but he's also an entrepreneur with a slew of marketing endeavors, a solid focus and exceptional standards; think AYTO's version of Wes of The Challenge. But that hasn't translated much in Austin's resume when it comes to romance and he's aiming to change that in Hawaii. One thing's for sure: with his suits & watches, there's no doubt who the frontrunner is for best-dressed at the matchups.
- Britni: From Augusta, GA (best known as home of golf's Masters Tournament), Britni is a Southern sweetheart and has an appetite for the wild side. The beauty queen is aware of her best assets and isn't afraid to use them to her advantage as a devoted girlfriend. But Britni has a habit of falling for guys who are insecure of her flirtatious nature, and now her mission is to look for that perfect match who is perfect the way she is.
- Chuck: A Hawaiian transplant by way of Michigan, Chuck will enjoy home field advantage this season. He has the swag, looks and charm of a bad boy, yet he's friendly, sincere and generous. But the problem is not getting those girls but the girls he picks, and Chuck admits to be attracted to crazy but then it becomes to hot to handle and aims to balance wants and needs. He's also a scuba instructor who enjoys our friends in the sea and if he wins a getaway date is eager to show his visitors the ocean he calls his second home.

Chel is able to anything for her man, but when that passion turns to possession she often scares him off. Now it's a matter of if Chelsey will get someone who can last very long with her.
- Cheyenne: Smart, ambitious, nice-looking and a frequent traveler, Cheyenne considers herself the total package. When it comes to dating guys, the LA resident expects her man to live up to her high standards, which is a tall task to get her "Mr. Right." That explains why her dating history hasn't lived up to the strong caliber of her total resume...Cheyenne is looking for the one in Hawaii. And oh, she's got a nice clothing line that's dropping along with this season too.
- Connor: From outside Chicago, Connor is truly the one from the city of big shoulders as a 6'8" gentle giant. After seeing his mom not find true love until she turned 50, Connor became motivated to find his soulmate ASAP knowing well that life is too short to spend it all alone. However, his high energy and huge ambitions haven't translated into long term romantic success. Now his mission is to slow down a bit to let his perfect match catch up with him.
- Devin: If you've seen his Twitter, Devin has been the spark to getting things going, but then again that's the Boston way for this New England native. But deep down inside, Big D loves living life to its fullest as the life of the party who loves adventure. That has influenced him in his recent dating life by getting girls at the club to organize threesomes via Tinder, among other things in his dating quest. At heart, he's looking for a deeper connection than what his dating habits suggest. His motto heading to Hawaii: "Never give up on love"...let's hope that's the case.

His mission is to heal those wounds and find the one.

However the attention she gives to him can be too much for them to handle, and now she must learn to balance offering everything in a guy and holding some back too. And Kirsten also has friendly company: she's very good friends with Adam from Season 1.
- Melanie: A dancer from Long Island, NY who has a flair for the dramatic, Melanie is very passionate in every aspect of her life. But when it comes to love, that passion can be overbearing to the guys she sees. Mel has a history of trust issues, a dose of paranoia and her hot temper, which of course means a few volatile relationships are guaranteed. As she heads to Hawaii, her goal is to trust her guy all the way and not let her fears take over.
- Mike: To some, he's just Mike, but to the ladies who see him at the strip clubs on Long Island, he's known as Magic Mike. Yep, he's a stripper and turns the girls on. But as far as relationships go, he only has his eyes set on turning on the lady that he's with. Though he's very loyal to his girls, most of the girls he's date can't see past his profession to find out he is, and the ones who do give him a shot are actually crazy strippers themselves, if you can believe it. Now that he's in Hawaii, he's finally able to open up to find a girl who can steal his heart.
- Nelson: From San Marcos, TX, home to one of the girls from last season, Nelson is that guy's guy who's athletic and loves the girls. With his great drive and ambition, he wants everything and is able to devote time and energy needed to make it happen. However when it comes to girls, Nelly's strong focus becomes the obstacle in his quest for a girl. Another issue is that he doesn't have much time to fit in seeing a lady between school, sports and hanging out with the fellas. Now a priority is to try and juggle those three things with finding his match.
- Rashida: Rashida describes herself as a alpha female who's smart, ambitious, gives extra effort into all that she does and always comes up a winner. She takes a similar approach when it comes to dating men, but the guys she finds in her Columbia, SC hometown always add cheating on her to their resumes. To make things more sketchy, Rashida has a habit of quite literally dating the same guys again & again, often going back to the last one rather than finding somebody fresh. Her goal is to break the habit and find someone new in her life here.
- Stacey: Stacey is your typical New Yorker: brash and opinionated, but this Staten Islander from a Ukranian family has a softer side as a sweetheart too. It's easy to see why the guys in the Tri-State fall so quickly for her, but she's not quick to fall back on them. Being very picky and easily bored, Stacey never lets the guys hang around for that long, but for those who do stick around are bad boys who hurt her reputation and her heart. She's looking to change her ways and find that match to be someone who can stick around for the long haul.
- Melanie: A dancer from Long Island, NY who has a flair for the dramatic, Melanie is very passionate in every aspect of her life. But when it comes to love, that passion can be overbearing to the guys she sees. Mel has a history of trust issues, a dose of paranoia and her hot temper, which of course means a few volatile relationships are guaranteed. As she heads to Hawaii, her goal is to trust her guy all the way and not let her fears take over.

But the thing that has grabbed some attention is why is Tyler living awkwardly with the ex-girlfriend who cheated on him? Yep, Tyler got played. Something will have to change for him to find love.
- Zak: Finally, Zak is AYTO's first Canadian (actually #2 if you count Phoenix girl & B.C. native Paige from S1), but it almost looks as if he came all the way to Hawaii straight from Milan instead of Toronto...it's not surprising he's Italian-Canadian. When it comes to meeting women, he's got game in being outgoing, smooth and driven. He's got no problem in that but when he wants to meet a woman he can spend more time with, that's obviously another story. Now will Zak follow his heart and look for more in a lady than just looks?

THE TWIST
Now, the big twist, which was teased about by R-Dev on Talk Nerdy to Us just before the buzz for this season began, which you can read here. Last fall, it was Christina that dominated the buzz as the 11th girl twist saw several guys, most notably Brandon, go into the truth booth only for the "no match" message to pop up. And there was Layton choosing her in the very last matchup that was all for naught since they had won the cash anyway with the right switch up. This time, there isn't a double match for any of the perfect matches, but the twist that will make this game more intense and interesting than both that; and certainly makes Season 1's easy path to the cash look like child's play.
In Puerto Rico, a huge storyline was what happened to Team 21 not one but two times during the season. That was where the group experienced the despair of not making at least one true match at the matchup ceremonies, known as a "blackout." It occurred after Pratt & Paris became the 1st perfect match, and then after Layton & Anthony got into words following a visit from the casts' parents. And the blackouts also broke up the aforementioned Bri & Curtis and Ellie & Anthony, among others.
Those two moments serve as the basis for this season's twist, where if at any point the singles get a blackout at the matchups, they will be penalized with a $250,000 loss from their $1 million jackpot should they go 10 for 10. This means that if the group gets four blackouts, the money will be gone in a heartbeat even if they get the sweep. Had this twist occurred on Season 2, then Team 21 would've earned $550,000 ($25K/person) instead of $1.05 million that they pocketed when they won last year.
So, the onus is on this season's cast to choose with their hearts and not with their heads if they want love and money. As we saw with Simone & others on Season 1 and Ant being the mastermind to taking apart the truth booth last year, strategizing that all-important road map to the million will take on an even more important role this year. That's something to keep a huge eye out for as Season 3 looks to give AYTO's first three casts a three-peat.

Finally, a word to the cast and if you haven't read the message from me on my social platforms, then "Welcome to Team MTV." You all got to film the season back in late spring and have had ample time for some R&R after you flew home from our 50th state. But now as the countdown to Sept. 24 is now in full swing - which I always compare to the holidays and the excitement of being a kid counting down the days until opening those presents on Christmas morning, you are all ready to get this train going, and now we're full steam towards that momentous evening.
I'm sure the anticipation you have for this season to begin is unlike anything you've experienced in your lives, and all the month's worth of talk, hype and buzz will all culminate with premiere day. And now it's time for the real show to begin: the promos to debut during this VMA week, the episodes being fine-tuned for air, the promotion & publicity machine helping bring this baby to life, and the opportunity for fans like me to talk to you. Obviously, I'm looking forward to talking to all 20 of you in the social world as this season rolls along, and as was the case with the first two seasons, in being able to interact a great deal with a lot of you in this build-up, we're well on our way to have an awesome time in the next few months.
But although I'm one of AYTO's biggest fans (a fact acknowledged by some of the castmates from seasons 1 & 2 who follow me on Twitter), I'm not the only one in the large network of fans who supports this show; you'll be interacting with them also during this countdown and the season itself.
