Yesterday on here (a result of various factors), we at DCBLOG brought you the 'Pulse of the premiere: thirty-four competitors in all began the competition in the heat and ended as seventeen pairs of American & international agents. But one of them would not make it to that night's elimination as Nam was deemed unfit to continue and was replaced... and another one, Michaela of the same Survivor season that gave us Jay S., brought out a list -- and that proved to be her undoing in the game as she was the first one eliminated in an all-rookie battle with her & Renan going home to Corey L. & Michele.
That one who replaced Nam is Ed of The Circle, and as a replacement who came to this game late he will have to get his bearings straight, but also brings with him the kind of exuberant energy this game needs. And this week, he and the competitors are taking to an airport tarmac for a heist-style challenge -- but they don't know that someone else is accompanying TJ Lavin to join in on the festivities. There's also some love in the air as a love triangle stirs up some feelings in the house and at the club, and could a choice be a crack in the veterans' alliance at the elimination chamber?
Just ahead, our opening weekend doubleheader continues with all the reaction to Week 2 of Spies, Lies & Allies... and after the diary, some bad news for a Challenge finalist who had eyes on joining fellow Champs vs. Stars alumni at next year's Winter Olympics. Thanks for joining us again...

Well, now after so much hard work was put together into training for this moment, that possibility for the ladder to join Lolo and CVP alumni Gus Kenworthy and Lindsay Jacobellis in China next February will unfortunately not come to fruition.
The competitor on Final Reckoning and both War of the Worlds seasons, Big Brother 18 alum and original castmate of the first Ex On The Beach season revealed on Friday on his Instagram that, after over a year of training, was not chosen to be part of the pool of pushers on the 2021-22 U.S. national team after the pandemic that caused Tokyo's postponement crashed into his hopes -- and it was caused by the same thing that cost U.S. Open champions Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm their spots in the Olympic golf tournament. "I appreciate all the support everyone has shown me in this Olympic journey. Unfortunately I have not made it to the next round of National Team selection. I tested positive for Covid prior to the National Push Championships. Due to this I wasn’t able to compete and therefore not allowed to move forward in the selection processA huge thank you to the Coaches and USA Bobsled for allowing me to see it through and get my times. I’m a huge proponent on seeing something through to the end even if success isn’t guaranteed. That way you can hold your head high regardless of the results. These athletes and this team are a bunch of animals and I’ll be supporting them the whole way.As for me, I’m going to take care of my body and build towards getting back on the ice in October. I’ve invested too much time to just walk away on that note as I’ve truly fell in love with the sport and the commitment these athletes bring day in and day out. After October, who knows what’s next. I can promise that this isn’t the end of me competing. It’s not the outcome I wanted and I can own that and keep moving forward.I also want to thank all the athletes that helped me along the way and all the people in my corner. There’s so many to thank on that the list but I’ll save it until there’s something to celebrate.Much love, Paulie"

But any weaker person would have just stopped at the first one. Ive never seen anyone push as hard as you. Even when things get thrown at you or don’t go how you want, you keep your chin up and your eye on the prize. You never ever quit and you never ever stop. I have seen first hand how much you have put into this. No one will know everything you have done. I have seen it. It’s the sexiest most admirable trait I could want in a partner.
