Last week in Panama City Beach, an unresolved issue from last summer came back to bite them when harsh words saw Jeremiah and Codi find themselves at odds yet again. After a prank over the bags saw Nilsa and Kortni get into it, a second prank saw the house be put into a high state of alert over, of all things, Aimee's toothpaste. And by the time our friends returned to the beach house, Nilsa's search for the right guy found itself in the arms of one guy named Gus.
And after that kiss on the ride back home, this week sees whether or not Gus and Nilsa are officially a couple or not. With all of what we've seen with the group going out to party each night in the Panhandle, one of the girls finds themselves in a state of nausea and it could be more than just a simple hangover. And when the birthday festivities for the resident bromance rages on, ...yes, another one of THOSE moments we had a couple times last December takes over them.

Gosh, what an episode, and a first few weeks of this season.

LAGUNA, HILLS, & CALIFORNIA BABIES

Both series featured the beautiful blonde, Lauren Conrad, as she went about her senior year in high school, leaving Stephen Colletti back in San Francisco after being homesick, and ultimately went on to Los Angeles to become a fashion designer. On season 2 of Laguna, she was the third girl to be seen by the resident bad boy of this Orange County beach town, Jason Wahler, as he did what most every guy on Are You The One and Ex On The Beach do nowadays: date or play multiple girls -- he dated Jessica and then moved on to Alex M. before he landed the blonde.
And the LC/Jason story continued up the way to season 1 of The Hills, where we met one of the three new girls who joined her as main characters of the series: Heidi Montag. On season 2, she started dating a good friend of Brody Jenner's, Spencer Pratt -- and so began their much publicized relationship with many twists and turns both on TV and in the tabloids. And it still continues some eight years after The Hills' last episode aired where Kristin Cavallari joined them in Hollywood.
Earlier today, Jason provided those who've stuck around with the Laguna/Hills journey all these years with something special. On Instagram, he posted a picture of having a double date earlier this week with Spencer & Heidi and with his wife, Ashley Stack in the town where this journey began in the mid 2000's. Fittingly enough, the song that became a massive hit thanks to being the show's main titles track, Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten", served as soundtrack to Spencer's Instagram stories.
