It's the weekend, and that means we have our look at the MTV Trifecta to share with you on DCBLOG. It's hard to think we're now halfway through Season 32 of Real World, and the Bad Blood group have made a strong impact on the house in Seattle as the various relationships among the fourteen people who call the Pacific Northwest home are heating up in the autumn cool.
   Last week, we learned more about the once-great friendship of Jordan & Orlana and the ladder revealing that she had considered taking her own life after losing her best friend. The feud between Katrina and Anna was amped up further when Peter began to get close with Anna and then went into bed with her. Jennifer went on a date with ex Robbie with intentions to settle things with him while in town, and then she and Peter share a rather scandalous kiss.
   And that hook-up sees big repercussions this week for both Jenn and Peter, with a potential break-up 3,000 miles away, tears and a rebound guy looming. The Million Dollar Maze Runner winner also finds himself in the crossfire of more drama with the sisters. And the budding relationship between two of the originals may find itself on the outs as one of them proves to be their own worst enemy and threatens to bring that all down in flames.
   Coming up, all the action, reaction and interaction from the week that was in the Real World and in the MTV Trifecta, plus remembrances of the late Diem Brown and much more... and someone very familiar might make an appearance in the lead-up tweets, too. So, after the kiss, it's a different world for both Jennifer and Peter as it causes an instant break-up via phone for her and her man back home, while Mike's frenemy instantly clicks with the newly-single bad blood of ex Robbie and also finds himself in the drama yet again with Katrina and Anna when a side remark sparks an argument. Meanwhile, the saga that is Tyara and Theo appears to have hit a speed bump with him friend-zoning her and her moving downstairs from their room upstairs... just another week in Seattle. MUSICAL DOUBLE SHOT

Tonight is the last big musical event of the year: the 2016 American Music Awards taking place down in Los Angeles. Of course, being a big music fanatic it's always been an event I look forward to each year which nowadays takes place now in between both my birthday and around this time of the holidays, and of course DCNOW will be live tweeting that show for you here in a few hours.
   Our original plan here was to do a look at the next generation of music's biggest stars, and though our focus here is on the Trifecta we promise to bring you that look at those artists who made a big impact in 2016 coming up over the holidays. But we do have a couple musical treats to bring you on this week's posts, both here on 'Pulse ExtraTime and then on DC WRAP.

> "ONE THING"  

As we told you here when we profiled Francesca from AYTO Season 4 last summer, the British musical talent showcase The X-Factor has produced a slew of notable alumni. But other than for Fifth Harmony, there's no bigger alums of that show than One Direction, who six years ago auditioned on season 7 as soloists, then were put together as a boy band by Simon Cowell and after placing 3rd started their ascent to the top of the music world. "What Makes You Beautiful" reached #1 in Britain and upon their arrival in America then shut down 30 Rock in New York when their debut album Up All Night dropped in early 2012. That and their next three albums, and their accompanying singles and tours, became massive worldwide successes, earned them a slew of honors and made Niall, Liam, Harry, Louis and Zayn household names.

   Amidst 1D mania in this country in 2012, there was a member of the Trifecta who wasn't afraid to show his affection for the young lads from across the pond. We all know Robb from Real World St. Thomas as that gentle giant ginger who towered over everyone in the house with his 6'6" basketball power forward's frame, found love in Marie while being covered with peanut butter in the kitchen, hit himself on the head with the house phone and then did two Challenges. But, it seems okay these days to put it out there in the open -- including on Instagram in the photo to the right -- that you have a boy band in your playlist...at least he's not alone (AYTO's Connor from season 3 did admit to having them in his playlist during a quote getaway challenge).

   One night while Robb's first Challenge, Battle of the Seasons II was just starting up in fall 2012, Robb and four of his close friends had some late night fun in Philly and decided to pay homage to the One Direction guys by, of course, doing a cover while being somewhat inebriated. The result of that is below, and of course will bring about a laugh or two.

And second, more hilarity from AYTO land. We have featured the resident comedian from Season 1 - John/JJ several times in our ExtraTime bits - lastly when he was a Man on the Street during the 2012 GOP Convention in his Tampa hometown, but believe it or not there's also a musical side to him also. One summer, he and another fellow funny man in the house in Kauai - Dillan, shared quarters and did some comedy videos...produced out of that summer is The John and Dillan Experiment, which you can check out on YouTube as well as JJ's channel also.
   One of those videos is an original track the two wrote and produced -- Dillan's the more musical of the two from having done some of those on his Instagram, and the result is a hilarious song named "Hit It," performed in front of a girl who feels a bit clueless about what the guys are singing about. Check that out below.
