Last week was the Semifinal as the challengers competed one more time in a regular daily challenge and then made one last visit to the venue of the weekly eliminations, the purgatory. A man who's won more of these than any other player and a Big Brother champ claimed their spots in the final by virtue of excelling in a hybrid of car driving and bowling, while a defending champion and a fellow British sophomore won the last tickets in by plowing their way through Hall Brawl. But it's the gesture of Nelson who won our hearts and our respect in letting his closest ally compete for family, including a second kid which he got to welcome as this season has aired.
Bananas, Bayleigh. Cory, Fessy, Jenny, Kaycee, Kyle, Rogan and Melissa have all earned their way out of the Bunker and into the Final Nine, and they are en route on a nine-hour jaunt to the mountains to contest the $1 million final in the snow. The 2-day affair will test their nerves of handling the freezing cold temperatures and the huge mountain range, and where they will have to dig deep if they want to win their share of the cash, which only goes to the top male and female finisher who will each receive $500,000. So, the players will have to go big or get left out of sharing that treasure chest awaiting them at the summit.

But on this side of the pond, the focus is all about Johnny Bananas and seventh heaven. It was when he took down a longtime nemesis turned ally in elimination that saw him take this game by the throat, and never let go - even if a power move by the resident daddy made him earn his way to the last stage. This might not be as hard as when he plowed through the snow on Exes 2 for #4 or conquered Free Agents for #5, and there's no controversy that surrounded #6, but now with him gaining #7 now firmly locks the door on the argument of who's the Greatest of All Time here.
There will be more for us to dissect and discuss when we bring you our WRAP of the homestretch and the final of Total Madness next week along with covering the reunion. And as we did after his Rivals 3 win, Bananas himself will be the focus of a postseason ExtraTime special after our recap goes to post, and where we'll look at his many adventures as host of NBC's 1st Look.
But before that - as well as The Situation invading A Double Shot at Love in Vegas, be sure to rejoin us later tonight when we shift gears from the snow to the golf course, as a man who also competed in the snow tries his luck on the world's most challenging miniature golf course.
