But this week, all eyes are on the debut of the fourth installment of Floribama Shore, and it's been some time since we've gotten to spend some quality time with our Southern friends. It has just about exactly a year ago this week that we last saw Aimee, Codi, Candace, Gus, Kirk, Nilsa and Jeremiah on our TV's, along with Kortni and Mattie. Needless to say, they had quite a stay in St. Pete Beach outside of Tampa where they had a lot of fun in a different down than the first two summers: a blowout party with parents, celebrating Pride, and a bunch of other things. But there was also plenty of drama as well... none bigger than the fight that ended the JeriGus bromance, which cast a shadow over the entire season.
Now fifty-two weeks later, we begin the fun once again, as the Bam minus the last two people in that aforementioned list are set to reunite after all this time away during quarantine in the midst of a pandemic. But for obvious reasons, they will not be heading to a beachside town this time around, as they will be packing some layers into more heavier luggage than usual for the snow-capped mountains of Montana. And once they arrive there, we will find everyone in a new place: new love interests, different living arrangements than it was a year ago, and some secrets including what happened the last time they were together in public. And of course, there's some surprises including the biggest one yet.

So, quite a first day and night in Montanabama Shore... and it seems that this group just has that same trait their Siesta cousins have: drama following them wherever they go. We featured the Florida casts attending the 2019 VMA's back then, but we didn't know until now of the row of a local Airbnb that's had Jeremiah on the outside with the group. But at night's end, it's Nilsa that brings the group to tears with her revealing that she lost her dad over the summer, and her being become a parent-to-be. We should be in for quite a stay in the Frontier North.
A reminder that we have a good weekend blog wise ahead of here... but one key aspect of this week will not be part of that. If you're expecting our Pulse of this week's episode of The Challenge Double Agents, you'll have to wait for that: the least liked three-word phrase came up at the end of that, and we will not say those words on here. And as is our tradition for any cliffhanger to episodes covered on here - and with our respect given to cord-cutters, we'll table over the SocialPulse for Week 11 in Iceland to NEXT WEEK as part of a special Challenge Pulse doubleheader to come your way next Friday night.
Instead, we'll devote the rest of this weekend to what we have coming up ahead as we'll be previewing MTV's first two entries to the new Paramount+ service to launch in a few days in The Real World: New York Homecoming and The Challenge: All Stars, along with two MTV alums taking over the ring and the talk show stage - and one of those posts will be up in just a bit. And in place of the Challenge Pulse this week, we'll be focusing on an often overlooked but fascinating aspect to CT: the high-profile murder case in New England that took too soon the life of his late brother, Vinnie Tamburello.
Meanwhile, this is not only a big MTV week, but this is also the week that kicks off an unusual but still star-studded time of the year for those in the entertainment industry: Awards Season. The Golden Globes take place tomorrow night at the Beverly Hilton in the Hills and Rockefeller Center in NYC, and be sure to follow my #DCNOW Twitter channel for all the buzz at @DC408DxNow. And in just a bit, join me there for a watch party of this week's juicy episode of The Life We Live in Colorado Springs, for which we'll be covering the latest adventures of Dre & friends coming up next week.
