Earlier today, we picked things back up in our coverage of Ride or Dies with Week 8... and we saw everyone celebrate Johnny Bananas' 40th birthday and then take to the tarmac for a ride aboard some 18-wheelers. But the big figure of the week was one Nelson Thomas: if he thought that just choosing perfect matches on his very first MTV show in Season 3 of Are You The One? was tough, then that experience didn't prepare him for the choice he had to make in holding the choice of whether to stay loyal to Fessy or to save his crush Olivia... he opted for the former, but she stayed in the game anyway as she & Horacio took out the hat trick in their third elimination win, taking down Jay & Michele.
It has become a fact of life around here that something explosive will happen whenever we get to the halfway point of any Challenge season... that is the case as we return to Argentina -- and here, it's two instances. First, there is the true test of which teams are best capable of handling those two days of hell known as the last Challenge... and a mini-final will see the teams carry weight and endure endurance in the middle of nowhere. There's also both good and bad news: no one will be eliminated this week... but this is also the last week that the pairs will be together -- and whoever wins in this daily will be front and center in a midseason draft to determine who will be on two teams opposing each other. And there's also the latest episode in the saga that is #Torgan... another Challenge joining in on that soap opera.

- Kailah & Sam: Not only were we deprived of the most authentic ride or die team the first episode, we were deprived of the most entertaining duo. We all know K is a great challenger;competition & drama wise) but I was really excited to see Sam play bc he’s very smart & sneaky.
- Turbo & Tamara: For my own safety, Im not going to speak on this man but girl blink twice if you need help. Honestly, thank God this team left early bc i really think his behavior towards her would have made all of us nervous & uncomfortable. 10/10 recommend therapy for this duo
- Johnny & Raven: This man has never had a genuine friendship with a girl in life so in order for him to have a partner he had to ask a girl who was in his ig dms. I did like them on the show but it was giving fraud vibes as far as their friendship legitimacy went.
- Analyse & Tommy: Their friendship is legit/real bc if it wasn’t she would have cursed this man out multiple times for the shit he was doing. I do feel like production could have found a better ride or die BB team but either way at least these two were genuine ride or dies..
- Colleen & Kim: I don’t know a single thing about this team but I kinda liked them bc they BOTh looked liked my girl Khalessi & I will never talk bad about the Targaryen bloodline.
- Laurel & Jakk: Production got this one right. Every duo cast should have been as authentic as them. I also did the show they met on(peak of something I forgot the name) & these two really do have a real ass bond/friendship. They are in my top 3 best ride or dies duos of the szn.
- Darrel & Veronica: The definition of ride or die. THIS is the type of duo we as fans deserved to see on this szn. Truly the blueprint of not only the theme of this season but the entire franchise. Imagine how iconic the szn would have been with more pairing like this one.
- Jay & Michelle: umm I don’t really know how real their friendship is IRL but I don’t trust a team that’s made up of 2 survivor players so I’m just gonna say they had plenty of opportunities to play the game & instead, they chose to play themselves so yeah it’s not for me..
- @JustJem24: Ok so let’s finish with the remaining teams in order of I like least to most. 👇🏼
-- Kaycee & Kenny: If production is going to continue to force kaycee down our throats then they should have paired her with Nany to give her an opportunity to actually have a storyline. Kenny might be setting a record for the most irrelevant person to ever be cast on the challenge
-- Messy Fessy & Moriah: like Johnny, this man is walking 🚩 with no real life girlfriends so he recruited Moriah from the local planet fitness. I actually do like her she just really needed a vet girlfriend in the house to teach her the game. Rule #1, stay away from 🍌…
-- Tori and Devin: Wasn’t she just cheering against him LAST season when he was in an elimination? Roll the tapes. Yup. That happened. But I mean.. Are we really shocked two opportunist decided to form a friendship in order to get an opportunity? No we aren’t so moving on.
-- Jordan and Anessa: These two and production are NEVER seeing heaven for faking this shit. Honestly the audacity of everybody involved to try to sell this fuckin fraud shit to us as viewers is truly embarrassing.
-- Nany & 🍌: I don’t hate them as duo bc they have been legit friends for years but I would rather have seen her with kaycee & Johnny with…well I guess nany is the only girl from the franchise that likes him enough to call him her ride or die so I see why production did this.
-- Nelson & Nury: all I think about with these two is how he snuck her into his hotel in 2017 when we were all staying at a hotel in NYC b4 flying to Spain to film vendettas. She was dead ass in his hotel room waiting on him while we(the cast) were getting drunk at the hotel bar
-- Amber & Chauncey: as far as ride or dies go, this is the most LEGITIMATE duo left so I’m rooting for them hard. A real ass couple. And they both seem to be as pretty on the inside as they are on the outside. Solid casting decision.
-- Olivia & Horacio: not to be dramatic but I would die for olivia. Both of them are the rookies of the year. I love seeing them play the game as a team but i also love watching her navigate her social game. She has terrible taste in men thou, she needs to improve that b4 next szn
- @Hockeypal85: @JustJem24 I hope they an old school mtv vs new school shows before it's too late. Real world, road rules and Fresh Meat vs big brother, survivor and AYTO. War of the worlds style. Would be epic before all the old cast members get too old.

Mini-Final and the Draft
And below, the mini-final that saw Fessy & Moriah take to power, and them playing the draft with him leading one team and her fronting the opposition.
As you saw above in our Last Call section, as the midseason draft was taking place over on MTV there was a verdict being handed down on CBS as we determined our winners on The Amazing Race... and when we have the chance, we'll reconnect with DX from The Challenge USA and his Big Brother girlfriend Claire coming up here, before we kick off coverage of the second half of this Challenge.
As for us here, we are beginning the business end of this year's proceedings as the teams are now set to go at it heads-up en route to the $1 million final. And that comes your way for your Monday. We'll see you then, and Merry Christmas.
