Happy Easter to you and yours from all of us... and what did the Easter Bunny bring with him in his basket to share with all of you this Sunday? He has something very special if you are one of those who has followed MTV's The Challenge from the very beginning. And in the minds of many of you, this will take on the status of being THE marquee attraction of spring 2021 in the world of MTV Reality, even though Double Agents will soon crown a $1 million pair of champions, among other matters.
This week, we commence The Challenge All-Stars with the usual pleasantries that mark the start of any Challenge: players moving into their house, most getting reacquainted with TJ Lavin, and many getting back into game mode after as much as two decades away from competition... though a few of those from the seasons that we have been covering since Rivals II are very familiar. And this will be no ordinary Challenge season or one watered down for the older kids: it begins with a tough underwater challenge, while the politics of the modern game will also test one or a few of the players. And no season of this kind of nostalgia that we've been having lately would be complete without a 90's dance party, too.

Indeed, welcome back OG's... though I'm one who's been watching The Challenge continuously since Jemmye and Jonna made their debuts on Battle of the Seasons 2 alongside Alton, Trishelle and Big Easy, I do have memories of the others from their seasons and when I watched the Challenge casually back then. And no wonder why they hyped this premiere episode so much, with the competition, the party and LT taking the elimination win over Ace... not to mention the returns of most everyone else. Quite an opening act.

But in the spirit of this holiday, we leave you with a treat: this past week's edition of Monday Night Raw featured the man who won and then lost the WWE title this winter, 2-time Challenge champ Mike "The Miz" Mizanin joining up with his tag-team partner John Morrison as, instead of putting on those wrestling singlets and going into the ring two weeks before WrestleMania in Tampa Bay, they debuted a new music video of an Easter version of their ring entrance song entitled, "Hey Hey, Hop Hop"... and yes, the both of them had on bunny outfits.
