Last week saw arguably this season's strongest players, Louise & Casper, get sent into elimination to face off against the weakest players left, Jozea & Selita, and despite them giving their very best effort the Olympian and the dancer as expected took out the win and vaulted to the top of the money table. They were also part of some good old controversy when her foot moved when it wasn't supposed to be in a Twister-like endurance challenge which caught the ire of one Shane, as three teams were sent packing by night's end in this season's Purge.
This week, it's the last challenge before the final - and in a preview of what the players should expect in a few days, it's multiple parts: on the beach, speed, solving puzzles, and pop culture all mixed in to dare the pairs who are left to have it all together. Those who finish first not only get dibs on who to put into the last elimination, but also claim their spot in the final, claim $3,000 for charity and receive a all-expense-paid trip. And if one of the dads left in this race has his way, he might have something up his sleeve.
We'll have all the action, reaction and interaction of semifinal week of Champs vs. Stars ahead, along with paying ode to the late great Diem Brown. And afterwards, we'll step into the Strategy Room to analyze this game before it reaches its climax, and on ExtraTime we'll tell you which star from many years ago is on the side of one of the competitors making his way to Final Reckoning.

So, CT & Tony entered the pairs phase as leaders in the money table, and now will enter the final in that very same position atop the leaderboard in winning the last challenge before the final. Wes & Booby will join them there in seeing the two most notable Champs of this season's veteran class make it to the end, and they'll be joined by either the only all-Stars pair in Louise & Casper or by an unlikely pair in Kailah & Drake. That brings us to....
STRATEGY ROOM
THE CHOICES...
Now - as is custom for whenever an episode ends without resolution, we won't be doing an actual recap for this episode until after the finale. But we do have predictions on who we think has a shot at winning. So without any explanation, our analysis...
FINALISTS ALREADY IN...
We will go on a limb and say that CT & Tony have, by far, the strongest chance to win by way of what we have seen from Tony during the season and his partner being the defending champ. They have dominated most of this season, and Tony's performance continued right off of Vendettas. It's hard to think of a different result than those two winning, and you can't think of anything better than CT winning a third final in 14 months and Tony's long road to getting the recognition he deserves as a Challenger being confirmed in the confetti.
It's not to discount Wes & Booby, but it would be no surprise if Team Good Guys overtake the Dad Bods to take the win, especially with Wes being the only member of the inaugural Champs vs. Pros guys' field to not win either this spinoff or a regular Challenge since. That should be in Ginger's mind going into Tuesday, and he would love to give Booby that special status of a Star being an MVP.
FINALISTS IN WAITING...
With Louise & Casper, they have taken on the status of Team to Beat since the players were paired up. Winning the first elimination after the changeover and the challenge after that certainly stamped them as favorites. Things are now getting tense with them in this battle with Drake & Kailah, but I believe that with their strength the lone all-Stars team should be able to take out the win, and provide this third spinoff season with its strongest final to date, and Louise & Casper providing the two Champs and the daddy with strong competition.
Kailah knows how to take advantage of late-season momentum to go from being the weakest player on Vendettas for most of the season to converting a final Purge exit on Dirty 30 into a finals visit the next season. She is now in that spot with Drake here on CVS, and should they be able to upset Louise & Casper, they might make the final a done deal for the Dad Bods.

As expected, Jozea & Selita may have lost their battle to Louise & Casper for the spot in the last pre-final challenge, but as we now know it won't be the last time we see him on MTV. Of course, he is the latest Big Brother houseguest to cross the Viacom corporate lines to The Challenge and will join Natalie, Paulie and the person who is Jozea's partner on Final Reckoning - Da'Vonne. We'll look at how they got here when we preview Season 32 over the 4th of July weekend along with our intro to them in our traditional Who Are These Newbies? post afterwards. But there is at least one notable celebrity who is on Team Jozea...
He and Kam attended L.A. Pride weekend events last week and they ran into someone who, back when I was young, I remember me and my sister listening to his music... and who would then become the husband of the late Whitney Houston. That would be, of course, Bobby Brown. Their picture is below.
