Good evening... we're less than 24 hours from a new episode of The Challenge: War of the Worlds as things get down to the nitty gritty. As far as DCBLOG is concerned, we're not at THAT point in the season yet as, as is custom, we're falling behind a bit in timeliness of our episode coverage for the interest of our binge-worthy audience who prefer to watch the episodes later. The influx of episodes airing without definitive conclusions are the reason why we're dropping back our Pulse posts to after it airs... hence, we're at Episode 12, one week behind.
As for what we have here ahead, we'll delve into it at the end of this... but for now, enjoy the in-between interaction for Week 12 of War of the Worlds which we have specially compiled for you below after the jump. Last month, an MTV fan turned 6-year podcast vet Brian Cohen (@CohenBrian_, aka "Bus Drivers Route") had the chance to add a notable figure to those he's met in the reality world... and those who followed him in his early days saw him attend and later blog on reunions of The Challenge and Real World, getting to meet Bananas, Leroy, Nany and CT in person, all after interviewing so many of them in audio land before joining Ali Lasher for Rob Has A Podcast's MTV Reality coverage. But for the latest figure he's gotten to meet up, it's someone from #PumpRules.
Nastassia Bianca Schroeder, better known as Stassi, grew up in New Orleans to an architect dad and a jewelry designer mom, and as one of four children who grew up by the Bayou. In elementary school, she was already taking theater classes and once she turned 18, Stassi went off to Hollywood to not only pursue that showbiz dream but also go to Loyola Marymount University and graduated with an English writing Bachelor's degree... all while also doing modeling work on the side.
In 2005, Stassi joined her dad Mark, step-mom Char and brother Hunter on season 8 of The Amazing Race, a family installment of the series where the Schroeder family was eliminated earlier on. But after filming that season, their New Orleans house was one of the many that got washed away by Hurricane Katrina, and another family from that season hosted them in their house while the rebuilding process was ongoing back home.
For Stassi, Amazing Race was the start of her reality TV journey, as she then appeared on 2008 Oxygen series Queen Bee. But those two appearances there set the table for the big one: in 2010, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Lisa Vanderpump hired her to work at her SUR restaurant and sister property Villa Blanca... and in turn, she's become a prominent figure on Vanderpump Rules as one of the show's main characters for its entire run.
Among Stassi's most notable moments include her season 1 Vegas birthday party and a split birthday bash being apart from her twin in season 6, her turbulent relationship with Jax in those first few seasons and subsequent move to New York; a season 4 scandal involving her making her own sex tape, her clashes with Scheana and others in the group, and a new romance she's had during the season that just ended over a week ago.
On the side of her TV and model work, Stassi has become a podcast host, a fashion fashion blogger and a New York Times Best Selling author. And it's with the last title in mind that Brian joined hundreds of #PumpRules fans for a signing event at Barnes & Noble's 5th Avenue bookstore in New York City for her new book, Next Level Basic: The Definitive Basic Bitch Handbook. And Brian got to do what I got to do with Linkin Park fifteen years ago: waiting all day to meet up with his favorite castmate from Bravo's most buzzworthy series.
Someone who knows this soon-to-be new husband better than anyone one else on this planet is someone who is a superfan of all things reality television and practically anything that airs on Bravo: his mom Sue Cohen (@PlainViewSue). She and her son posted the picture below on their Twitter accounts, where he got to call Stassi his "New BFF." Wondering what the soon-to-be Mrs. Cohen or Ali might be thinking about...
