Inside MTV Reality: The Siesta Key WRAP - The Season 3 Winter Finale Pt. 2

Welcome back... four long months ago, MTV Reality's Florida Season began in November with the third seasons of two shows that call Tom Brady's newest playground home of the Tampa Bay Area sharing this winter stage, just as they did attending last year's Video Music Awards together. First, the crazy kids of Floribama Shore moved their fun and antics to St. Pete Beach outside St. Petersburg, and then over a month later Siesta Key kicked off a summer full of love and drama down the road near Sarasota.

When we last left the group Tuesday in our time here, the group once again took their talents out of the Key and into Music City USA. Brandon invited them as his support system to Nashville as he performed new music in the clubs there, and everyone got to enjoy going ax-throwing, horse riding and twerking on the line-dancing floor. But as it was for their trip to Georgia the drama bug also followed them from Florida: Garrett & Kelsey kissed in the club leading Jared to give them the bird, while Pauly got in trouble to spreading rumors of a rekindled #JALEX romance.

At night's end there, Amanda got rung up by the girls for siding with the king, and that isn't the only thing on the mind of Alex and Juliette, as well as Madisson. After the break, our WRAP of Part 2 of the Siesta Key winter finale -- including not one but TWO bombshells... plus, the girl at the heart of the drama in Hour #1 speaks out on what went down there in Nash-Vegas.

 THINGS TO KNOW
EPISODE 12

THE HOOKUP: We begin with day 3 of Siesta in Nashville with the girls awakening from a wild night #2, and Juliette reminds us that, "Our hot girl summer was coming to an end. Something about Nashville was making everyone crazy." And as the girls wake up in their hotel the next morning with a box of pineapple pizza (which is my parents' preferred take-out pie BTW), they watch the queen emerge out of her room as she lets them know that she & Alex somehow ended up in bed together.
After what went down, Alex sends a text to the ex asking if they can talk, and Jules and him get together at a bridge to talk what just happened in them sleeping together... and thus, he cheats on his girlfriend Alyssa back in Siesta. He tells the ex, "I still have a heart for you," and Jules puts the blame on her being in love, young and has not gotten over him fully.

DRA-MANDA CONTINUES: As a site that covers The Challenge & AYTO extensively, the name Amanda means "pop-off queen"... and here, Siesta's own Amanda has long been the bad girl of the group. As the group heads out to a fancy restaurant for dinner on their last night in Nashville, she picks up right where she left off the previous night as she once again makes everyone feel awkward as Jared does whatever he can to try and keep the peace, even though they're in separate tables. And this is how it goes down...

A NEW YORK MINUTE: The travels aren't over just yet: the last time the Key went up to New York, Madisson & Kelsey went up there for work while Brandon was cheating on the former. Garrett rings up the ladies about him being in the Big Apple for meetings, and then Madi is put on the line to pack and head up to NYC. First, she meets up with Cara at a rooftop restaurant where she's been since her dramatic exit from the Key earlier this season and she gives Garrett's ex a gift from him.
Another person who gave Madisson a call before going up there was Ish, just over a month after their breakup and who bought her a ticket to meet her in the Big Apple. When they meet up at a local park and then sit on the bench, she tells him that her biggest dream is to be a mom and asks, "Do you see a forever with me?" He answers, "Absolutely," as they are now back on.

CONFESSION & A BAG: Everyone else is back in Siesta after their wild time in Tennessee and, while doing some summer cleaning around the house Madisson gives to Kelsey "the jar," which has inside the one year's worth of notes that Garrett wrote to her during their time dating before they go on a dinner date at a sushi place. The next day, she and Jules chat it up at their house about what exactly happened with Alex & her in that second night in 'Vegas where, yes, Jules admits to hooking up with him and warns, "He's going to do this to anybody."
Then, Chloe and Alyssa dine out where Alex's girl asks for what happened there: "Are you just trying to make me not mad?" There, we find that Alex & Jules slept together, get caught by Chloe of pretending to be in bed, and in who Your Observer calls "the three musketeers," receive continental breakfast. And he makes the plea to his Crescent Bar co-worker that he will buy her anything just as long as she doesn't tell Alyssa of his hookup. And in return, she receives a $3,000 handbag.

THE TEST: If you've been with this site throughout our MTV Reality coverage over the years, something that been a staple of sorts has been a pregnancy test: we had one with Madisson just a few short weeks ago with Ish, and when we started it was Challenger & Teen Mom star Cory dealing with it when his ex, Lauren, got pregnant on his original Real World. And before that, those who streamed Real World Atlanta last year on Facebook remembers Dondre sticking his hand into a trash can to get a kit put into the garbage by Tovah when she & internet Clint had a scare of their own.
Just as everyone thinks that the season wraps up with the silent handbag deal, as is did when Alex got in that bar fight in season 1 the show fast forwards three months to when he walks into the room to find Alyssa holding a pregnancy kit, and her having to call Madisson to ask for advice on tests on a possible pregnancy. That will come a bit later on...

 ENDGAME
AMANDA SPEAKS OUT

Like Pauly, Amanda has been part of the Siesta inner circle from the very beginning... we all remember her giving Chloe a broken nose in the aftermath of her flirting with Brandon at Alex's birthday party in Season 1. But the rekindled feelings she's had for BG has brought  into more into the spotlight this year as Amanda has been in this love triangle with him and ex JJ, as pictured to the right.

One other thing that has made her more of a featured cast member than in a supporting role in the past has been of her being in the heart of the drama of the Juliette and Robby showmance and the group starting to think if she can be trusted in a town where secrets are never safe. We saw her get into a side argument with Jules in that housewarming fight, her phone get thrown into the ocean by the Bachelor, and now the drama in Nashville.

And a week after the mid-winter finale, on Wednesday Amanda took to Twitter @AmandaMarie2083 to respond to her actions and finally admitted that what she did in Nashville that night was not indicative of who she is.

 TWITTER  @AmandaMarie2083
"As I look forward to the rest of season 3 #SiestaKey I just want to say how I acted in Nashville was totally uncalled for & not who I am. I have NEVER acted that way before & will never again so I truly apologize &  work every day to be a better person than I was yesterday. Thank you to those who understand we all make mistakes and to learn from them. I’m thankful the show aired that because it reminded me I never want to act that way again. I’m sure you’ll see plenty more, but most importantly we’re all trying to change for the better."

BEST OF THE WINTER FINALE, HOUR 2

Now, our last installment of the Siesta 'Pulse of this winter with the best of the EP 12 reaction...

🌞 🌞 🌞 🌞 🌞

Well... we can now take a breath after all of that, and now we can look forward to Jules having to come clean about her hookup with Alex, all as he's gotten the news that he & Alyssa are expecting. That will be something to look forward to when Siesta Key returns later this year.

But before that, the stage is just about clear for us here at DCBLOG to turn our attention from Florida to the fifth major pro sport -- and for the time being at least, the only one in a cornucopia of sports that will actually be in action less than two weeks from now. Our coverage of The Challenge: Total Madness will kick off this weekend with our season preview, to be followed by our traditional introduction to the rookies of this new season, and we may have an additional preseason post as well.

Before that, though, something special: we'll be hearing from the man who helped produce Laguna Beach and then went on to create another tabloid-favorite series. We'll be joining him and those behind some of your favorite buzzworthy shows for a panel discussion on the evolution of MTV Reality coming up on Friday. Hope you'll join us then, and stay safe.
