Since this DCBLOG site began covering MTV Reality eight years ago, aside from weekly episode coverage we also cover the world at large through its prism, and we've often branched out of the world that TV's most-talked about reality shows to cover other things related in one way or another to this community. That includes the amazing content created by someone who had the pleasure of meeting his favorites from The Challenge when it launched its first $1 million season back in the summer of 2017, and who's also made a name for himself as we have followed his entire odyssey on this site.

There, Secaucus, NJ native Andres Rodriguez got to meet his favorite player, several-times Challenger, Real World alum and Lohan Beach Club queen Kailah Casillas, among others at a workout event before the premiere of The Challenge XXX. Some of his good friends also came along for the trip across the Hudson River to New York City, most of whom took part in competing on The Caucus Challenge -- a homemade version of the show they love which has translated into ten seasons of them competing in Dre's backyard, plus a special spinoff last year during a family summer camping trip.

The pandemic that wrecked last year's best laid plans caused things to take a turn for something different for what the star of this show likes to call his company Dre.Media, as Andres turned his focus to a spinoff of Caucus: a Real World-inspired spinoff that brought together him, friends and strangers for a weekend retreat from real life back home for what is simply more than just your ordinary vacation. The Life We Live has brought him and his fellow travel mates to Florida, the Poconos, Upstate New York, New England and during winter break this past year to the Rocky Mountains.

And in each of those five instances, TLWL has seen plenty of drama go down, as it often does when the cameras are on and where things that happen back home also make the flight from the Tri-State Area (and now, beyond). And this Spring Break, they've once again made their way out west... this time to the state where everything is big: Texas.

The first full year of The Life We Live saw its lead character celebrate his birthday on South Beach, exes and skeletons come walking through the door in Pennsylvania, take advantage of the snow and the old normal in Lake George and brave a pandemic to safely explore Beantown. Season 5 of TLWL back over the winter saw Dre and friends head out to Colorado Springs, where their trip saw them exploring all that the Rockies has to offer, elements of the Caucus Challenge coming to the spinoff, and of course, wild house nights when twelve people share the same Airbnb house (and two of them being evicted).

For the Spring 2021 installment of TLWL, it would be a second straight trip outside of the Eastern Time Zone and to a place that's very much different than the four succeeding destinations of the series: a warm locale. The Dallas-Fort Worth area is the heartbeat of North Texas, best known locally to its 7.6 million residents as DFW or the Metroplex. With a larger area mass than New Jersey, it's the country's fourth largest metropolitan area and with its biggest annual population growth, home to the third-largest concentration of Fortune 500 companies, and is the leading region in biomedical sciences. And the Metroplex is a major sports hub led by, of course, the Dallas Cowboys.

This year the state of Texas has been in the news a bit, from the actions of its governor in ignoring his citizens when an ice-cold storm hit while he headed on a vacation to Cancun... to it hosting the first full-capacity major sports event (the Texas Rangers home opener) during the pandemic's last wave in the spring. And just over a week ago, Texans were up in arms again with local power utility firms when a sweltering heatwave urged them to conserve power... but the Lone Star State is also the venue for this YouTube guilty pleasure.

For obvious reasons, there would have to be a bit of caution during this tense time when it comes to traveling, and as this takes place America was still in the early stages of the pandemic vaccination process. Indeed, the Colorado trip saw the list of those who decided to come out west not be fully set in stone until just before Dre and the boys left to escape the December winter storm that crippled the East Coast, which included a few withdrawals due to last-minute changes and, in the case of one that would ultimately be chosen for this, a positive COVID test.

But what made TLWL Dallas different was that the list of who's going was very much set beforehand thanks to Dre taking a more traditional approach of casting the right balance of familiar and fresh faces. A few of them are part of his inner circle of his most loyal friends, others are those who joined in past seasons of TLWL, and a handful are joining in for the first time - ranging from one who calls the Lone Star State his home to another who has a history with Dre... the cast bios go deeper into these people.

🤠 DRE (TLWL 1-5) - "Obviously Dre is back and taking this group of individuals to Texas baby! Following his dreams and living his best life Dre has expanded his brand and has welcomed newer faces outside of his friend group to TLWL. 2021 has been off to a great start for him and he hopes that Texas will be a wild spring break getaway. This time around he has his guard up and is taking the more professional/producer aspect route on the trip. Things get crazy when he get caught in a blowup and has a choice between his series and his friendships."
🤠 CYNDEE (TLWL Poconos) - "After a hiatus from filming and due to popular demand, the icon herself is back! Cyndee has been keeping up with all the TLWL adventures and decided that it was time to come back and show everyone what the OG’s are about. She’s here to live it up and make some fun memories with her roommates, and of course entertain everyone around her!"
🤠 EEZY (TLWL Miami) - "Look who it is... Eezy! TLWL’s one and only flipflopper! After passing up last season in COS, Eezy has decided to take this well deserved trip to party, meet new people, and take a break from responsibilities back home. This time Eezy is single and ready to take in all that Texas has to offer. Things do get messy when impulse decisions impact long term consequences."
🤠 JANIECE (TLWL COS) - "Colorado’s favorite underdog alumni is coming back into the TLWL house but this time, she’s officially wifed up! So much has changed since COS and Janiece is excited to be on this vacation with her man and some of her old roommates! Being more comfortable with her cast mates this time around Janiece isn’t holding back! From Planning all the excursions to dancing the night away in downtown Dallas, Janiece is here for a good time!"
🤠 JT (TLWL Poconos) - "The one everyone loves to hate is of course back again! After COS JT and Janiece made their relationship official and took the next step by moving in together. Coming into the house alongside his girlfriend and best friends, JT has calmed down and is taking the higher route in the TLWL house. This is his first time seeing his friends from back home and he’s ecstatic to turn up in Dallas with the gang."
🤠 LANCE (TLWL COS) - "Colorado Springs most influential newbie is returning as a fan favorite OG! Back home Lance has had a rough couple of months and decided last minute to make this trip. With everything going on in his personal life, Lance finds himself in a weird headspace while living with a bunch of familiar faces and strangers. The Beast is released when a couple roommates poke at Lance and feel his wrath."
🤠 LAUREN (TLWL Miami) - "The OG queen is back! After having a serious case of FOMO and not traveling to COS Lauren made sure she didn’t miss this trip to Dallas. Lauren has been around since Miami and knows the highs and lows of the TLWL house. Coming into the house she’s hit with the unexpected, as TLWL has grown and is no longer an inner circle experience. Will Lauren enjoy her stay or will the drama and events in the house ruin her spring break?"
🤠 MIKE (TLWL Upstate NY) - "The king of messy schemes is making his way to Dallas to turn up and stir the pot! Coming into this season Mike has something’s he wants to get off his chest from unfinished business in COS with past roommates. This time around we will see a different side of Mike, when a small spark lights a possible connection in the house. Overall Mike is here for one thing and it’s to turn this house upside down."
🤠 CLAY (Newcomer) - "Clay is the only Texan in the house and is ready to show these east coasters around Dallas and a bit about southern hospitality. Coming into the house he’s nervous of how he will fit in and says that people always tell him he’s boring... Clay finds himself in a few ruffles when a certain connection is made with an OG and the pot gets stirred. Clay is here for the experience and is ready for whatever comes his way."
🤠 SABRINA (Newcomer) - "Originally Sabrina’s bestfriend was the reason she applied for TLWL and decided to take this trip. Last minute she ended up arriving alone and no bestie alongside her. Sabrina is here for the party and all the tea. Making close knit bonds with her fellow newbies she also says, “We’re going to be the lit ones, the OG’s are used to this. We’re excited to be here.” Get ready for this ride cause it’s going to be messy!"
🤠 SEBASTIAN (Newcomer) - "Sebastian works full time back home in the medical field and has taken this TLWL opportunity to relax and step out of his comfort zone by filming and traveling with a group of strangers. Coming into the house he is in a relationship but does have a small history with Dre. As a newbie he soon realizes how stressful and real the TLWL house can get and finds himself facing confrontation. Will Sebastian enjoy his stay with his roommates or will he pack his bags and dip?"
🤠 TIANA (Newcomer) - "Tiana is from New York and is heading out to the country for TLWL! Her bold and very opinionated personality might get her into some drama when her roommates take it as disrespect and rudeness. She’s taking this experience head on in hopes to have a good time and party with her fellow roommates! Being very vocal in the house, Tiana’s presence is known and she is unapologetically herself. Will T become one of the house favorites or will she be too much to handle?"
🤠 JAYLEN (Newcomer) - "When things aren’t working out at home what do you do? Book a flight about it! Jaylen is coming into this house excited to spend time with his best friend, make new friends, and possibly even new connections. Coming in half way through the season he is going to shake the dynamic of the house and make this season memorable. A switch is flipped when the highs and lows of a TLWL hit Jaylen hard."

With a baker's dozen living under one roof on the outskirts of the largest landlocked metropolis in America, they all would set sail on another one of those trips. Here it's not just a bonding exercise with four longtime besties, their friends and those new to this clique... it's also an opportunity to check out what Dallas has to offer while also going through all of the fun, drama and excitement that naturally comes when cameras are filming everything that happens in a few days' Spring Break vacation.

And when Dre, Clay, Cyndee, Eezy, Janiece, JT, Jaylen, Lance, Lauren, Mike, Sabrina, Sebastian and Tiana all move into their house in North Texas, what unfolds in this entire season of The Life We Live: Dallas is for you to see for yourself below. We caution that the TLWL series contains adult language & situation, and DCBLOG advises discretionary viewing.

And after a season full of house parties, a blowup on a drinking game night and more drama than could fit this sentence, this week the TLWL Dallas cast gathered one more time in this virtual Zoom reunion.

This summer and fall, Dre will no doubt be a busy man: the next item on the Dre Media docket is the first full season of The Caucus Challenge in two years when Season 11, Novice Era, premieres next month. Then - and it having just filmed last week, Season 7 of TLWL will bring him and some of those from this season to the annual celebration of Pride down in Orlando, which takes on added meaning this year on the fifth anniversary of the Pride tragedy. And while in the midst of all those, he and his friends are documenting their entire summer 2021 with another new series in Seven Mutual Friends.
And that is not all: amidst all of this, Dre, Lance and few seasons alum of TLWL, Josh, also were invited along to take part in a new "Live Reality Game" version of early 2000's reality competition show The Mole, which premieres tomorrow night also on YouTube at Victory House Productions. We, of course, DCBLOG will be chronicling Dre's busy summer on here once again coming up then.
